   Love this place, but the food took almost an hour to get. The place was not busy, so it was a bit disappointing. Food was great, which made up for it a bit.

   We had 7:30 reservations and left at 9:00 without receiving our main dishes. Waitress told us it was their off-season and things are generally slower. There was no air conditioning in the entire restaurant and no fans or air moving at all. If the hostess would have told us we would have been seated outside where it was cooler (91 degrees outside) and there was at least some air moving. This was our second and last time dining here. Horrible experience. Very disappointed that they didn’t seem to care that we were unhappy about our experience but the waitress did say they would comp the ford that we never received...thank you very much, I hope I wouldn’t have been charged for something that we never got to eat because of slow and bad service.

   The menu and food quality at Alebrije Bistro Mexico are outstanding - "not the typical Mexican food" that some might expect. Innovative offerings, well-prepared, and beautifully served. Americans think that "traditional" Mexican food includes tortilla chips, red sauce, and either gooey or crunchy versions of various qualities similar to what is sold at Taco Bell. Alebrije is far superior, in that their offerings are truly exceptional and "Mexican gourmet," which is interesting to many. However, we witnessed more than one party enter the restaurant, take a look at the menu, then leave; it wasn't what they were looking for. Fine, but too bad for them. What we experienced was Mexican fine cuisine in very pleasant surroundings.

   Although there was not much of atmosphere the food and service more than made up for this. Delicious colourful plates served by happy and accommodating staff. Would recommend to others and would return.

   We were there for restaurant week and had their 4 course meal. The flavors and preparations were well done. Not traditional Mexican cuisine and it was a culinary experience.

   This is authentic Mexican cuisine from the Capital at it’s finest. One of my favorite go-to restaurant of any cuisine in the Coachella Valley.

    We went for restaurant week. The four course menu was delicious and portions were large. The steak was perfectly cooked. The house margaritas were awesome.
