There were six of us in our party. It gave us the opportunity to taste a lot of different items. Yes, we ate off of each other’s plates! The food was spectacular. The service was fantastic. The entire dining experience exceeded our expectation. Tends to be a little pricey but the food & experience are worth it. Will definitely return!
The food was delicious and the service was wonderful.
Second time we have been there. 2x in a month. Wonderful food.
The food was exceptional. We had soup, three types of salad, several pastas, steak, fish, chicken, desserts... the whole food pyramid! We were not rushed at all. We were waiting on a friend who was running quite late. We ordered appetizers and relaxed until he arrived. It says a lot for waitstaff to not rush to turn a table over. It is pricey but we all enjoyed our evening.
Everything was outstanding the night the four of us went post theater: the service, ambience and the food. One of our members needed a gluten free diet, another one a vegan diet. Each was able to be accommodated easily. Each of our choices were excellent so it's difficult to recommend a particular dish. I've been here before and found both the food and service consistently outstanding. Highly recommend Aldo's.
David and Danny provided excellent service, and the food was exceptional as always. The wine's are over priced like everywhere else but the food & service makes up for it. The ambience is always cozy and it is always a good place to get together for dates night or with friends.
There are numerous options in Little Italy of Baltimore, but Aldo is truly the gem of the neighborhood. The menu selections, knowledgeable staff, and exceptional cuisine make this our go to when choosing Italian food in Baltimore.
I went on New Year's eve and service was wonderful. Our meal was top notch. I highly recommend the ossobucco.
I took my girlfriend out to Aldo's for an early New Years Eve dinner. Overall it was a wonderful meal and we both enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, although a few aspects of the evening left a little to be desired.
We started with a couple of salads for the first course. Was the first time I had real Caesar dressing made with anchovies, the difference is night and day.
Next was the fresh pasta course. My favorite part of the night. The orecchiete with the sausage was to die for.
For the entrees, a perfectly cooked filet over a delicious creamy polenta, and osso buco over parm risotto. The Osso buco was a little light on flavor, but it was super tender, and the risotto was awesome.
Finally dessert. I'm not real big on sweets, but it was probably the best tiramisu I've had. Ladyfingers soaked perfectly, great coffee and rum flavor; just needed a touch more custard.
Service was good. Our waiter was excellent, attentive without being overbearing, and answered all our questions. Ambiance was great, nice low level of noise, and on the second floor it looks like you're overlooking a courtyard.
Overall, a very very nice meal. I just didn't think the 4-course NYE special menu was worth it. It was $100 per person and no option for the standard menu, which I would have preferred (We did ask, and were told that the prefix was the menu for the night). I personally don't need a starter salad and dessert. It included a champagne toast, but all other drinks were extra. With two drinks apiece, the bill ended up being $350 for two people (!!!).
But I would recommend this place, and I would love to come back here again! Just not for holidays.
A favorite of ours. Great food, wonderful service and solid wine list.
