Alcé (pronounced - All-Che’) is the restaurant located inside the 26,000 square foot Clubhouse at Dalton Ranch Golf Club just 8 minutes North of downtown Durango. Alcé is the Italian word for Elk which can be seen from what is no doubt the best patio dining experience in Durango.
We had the Caprese, meatballs and pork. All were wonderful and will be coming back.
Zero options for people with allergies. Gorgeous restaurant.
Tough night. Wedding and a golf tournament took up most peoples time. The food was basic County club variety and nothing special.
It was the worst meal I have ever been served.. Inedible. Never again!
Outstanding view of the mountains, very comfortable seating. Waiter was nice and food was certainly very good. A very relaxing atmosphere that I can only recommend.
Hate the new name!! Has nothing to do with the environment. Menu is okay but a bit pricey. They didn't even look at the comment I made, asking for a specific table. They apologized and gave us desert for free, which I appreciate, but if they're going to use something like OpenTable, they should use it correctly. Thank you.
Rave reviews for Marketing; however, the experience was a disappointment. A full 2-page color ad in the Dining Magazine set my expectations for a fabulous dining experience with visions of live elk roaming around. Alce' is a very nice golf club and the food is very good, but it doesn't qualify for fine dining. Dinner after a round of golf is their purview. Don't go expecting an exceptional evening.
This restaurant is in a golf course clubhouse (think Caddyshack right down to the red slacks). The menu was uninspired and the food, when it finally did arrive, was just “okay.” The service was between indifferent and poor. All in all, it is not worth the drive from Durango.
Quality of food and menu choices are just ok, service /wait staff was good. Considering the price I was expecting a bit more. Just my opinion..... but the management of this place could use a few lessons in honesty and customer service, especially when it comes to the reservation process and specific seating requests. When I made my reservation I was told the outside patio area was fully booked. I was very disappointed to find patio almost empty the entire time we were there having dinner. (inside)
We had a wonderful dinner for two in the main dining room. The weather was inclement so the balcony wasn’t an option. But still the views of the course, mountains and water were stunning. The ahi tuna was cooked to perfection.
The restaurant is in the clubhouse of the golf club. No need to dress up as there are people fresh of the golf course. The food was good, but not exceptional. I expected more for the price. Service was good.
The only complaint was the Osso Buco was too salty.
It was great dinner and the entrees were delicious. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere with a fantastic view.
Good food selection on menu, service was very good
Great venue for Kirk James and other performers.
Atmosphere and good food selection.
seven of us had a wide variety of food - steaks of various sort, pizza, a vegetarian dish and lots of garlic rolls. food was excellent. service was a little slow or I would have given a five star rating.
The service was very slow. After ordering it took an hour for our food to come. The polenta was tasteless and the Caesar avocado salad was soggy. I am a regular customer of The Swing and was very disappointed in the experience. They should have stuck with their regular menu and been more prepared for the evening.
Food was very good. Service is a problem. Had to get my own drinks.
A very enjoyable meal
Got there on a Sunday night - it wasn't crowded. Seated quickly. Water appeared quickly and the staff said the server would be right there to take our order. Waited 12 minutes - no one came to take our order. Had to get up and complain. Really shouldn't have happened. The food is quite 'average'. Unlikely to return.
Service was great. Food was kinda middle of the road. View is OUTSTANDING!
Please be aware when tipping they undertaxed our bill at 5 %. Don’t short change your server by just doubling tax til they get that fixed.
The food was excelllent, view was beautiful as usual, enjoyed Ethan as he cleared our table...delightful young man! Great evening!
The food was good, service was spot on, the view is beautiful.
