ÀLAVITA is all about fresh pasta and local ingredients—from Agnolotti to Tortellini to Garganelli, Linguini to Pappardelle—created freshly every day. A restaurant whose name means “to life,” (Well actually two words– ‘alla’ ‘vita’ –that we put together to create one) ÀLAVITA is a great place for celebrating life with good friends and family alike.

ALAVITA Ratings and Reviews
Alavita is my favorite downtown restaurant! We love the food, wine and service. We come in from Idaho City during the summer and fall and live in Naples FL during the winter. We always look forward to returning to Boise and coming back to Alavita for dinners with family and friends
This is likely the best Italian food in Boise. I know what authentic Italian food is. This isn't really it, but it's closer than other Boise venues. Our meal was quite lovely in all respects although the front door was a serious problem. It let in waves of frigid air every time someone entered. They desperately need a vestibule to make the dining room livable. No other complaints.
A family get together with family from overseas,. We were a large group and service by Bob was fantastic.
Great food, and periodically changing menu makes for a great opportunity to try something new.
One of our favorite Boise restaurants and always a pleaser with guests.
Alavita exceed our expectations! We loved the fresh pasta options. The four of party tried different dishes and loved taste testing each others! The salami appetizer platter was incredible. The apple dessert was melt in your mouth and remember for days amazing! Tina, our server, was very informative and all staff was willing to meet our every need. Highly recommend!
Everything was terrific ! EXCEPT, the cold air blasting in from the door - even with the curtain up. Last time I was at Alavita, it was early summer, and the outside temperature was not
I know yours space and seating are limited, and I am glad you don't have a huge, dining area;
however, we did not take our coats off.
I really don't know if there is anything that can be done about this.
Everything else was wonderful !!!!
Great sister restaurant to Fork. Excellent service, creative cocktails, menu is small but very tasty. Bring back the mussels appetizer, it was delicious. They are using local ingredients and some organics - overall good quality and fairly healthy option. Would absolutely come here again. Thanks!
Service was good, food was just OK. I've had way better Italian so I can't figure out what all the fuss is about, and it's overpriced for the quality. Everything is served in these weird black bowls that are shaped like a boat. The whole experience was just off from what I was expecting.
Outstanding pasta and seafood. Black ravioli and tomato fettuccine were divine and the whiskey cream gelato was killer. The downside was it was so loud in there that I literally could not hear my date who was less than 2 feet in front of me. The other negative was how little we saw and interacted with our server. She was nice and knowledgeable but didn't feel very attentive. I do think they had they had enough staff and they all seemed like they were distressed and frantic. The food was AMAZING but don't think I'll go back because of the noise and didn't feel well tended.
As usual this favorite restaurant of ours is amazing in every way. The food is always spot-on and delicious and nicely presented. We always feel special when we dine here. Great bar links as well and we love the staff!! You know who you are!!!
Try the mussels!!! Yum! All the pasta dishes are great and the Florentine steak was fantastic.
Be back soon!
We went there for my mother-in-law’s birthday and had a great time! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. It felt like a restaurant you’d find in SF—high quality food and a nice environment in a small, quaint spot in the city. The manager Carrie and our server Bob truly went out of their way to make sure my mother-in-law’s milestone birthday was special! Highly recommend this place!
