Long wait for reserved table. Mediocre food. Won’t go back.
Always warmly greeted, table always ready( yes a reservation) service and the food is always excellent.
Perfect evening dining outside.
Service was good. Food was outstanding!
2 of us had veal picatta - yum!!
1 had veal Marsala - yum!!
And one had chicken who said it was surprisingly good!!
Can’t wait to return!
Great food and service. We love thus place. Highly recommended.
Riquísima comida y servicio. Volveríamos a ir definitivamente. Gonzalo nos atendió muy bien.
Overall, just an "ok". Wanted to try this place for a while, so gave it a go. Food was ok, nothing outstanding, service on the slow side. Table next to us ordered one of the "special" salads, but it did not have the gorgonzola or other ingredient on it. So, they brought them little bowls of both to add on--make your own salad. Glad we tried it, time to move on.
We had lunch earlier in the week and were delighted with the service and food. Decided to go back for our last dinner before leaving the next morning. Could have not been more disappointed with our server/hostess. She sat us at a nice outside table. So far so good. Then her Birthday Girl friends showed up taking all of her attention that we had to ask for water while the table had theirs served. They brought wine and she proceeded to open while we sat and watched. Told us be there in 2 minutes....nothing happened while she focused solely on her friends as she took their drink orders.
We saw how this was going and left....
The house salad and dressing was nearly tasteless. If it was not for the bread, the whole course would have been bland. I had the equivalent of Chicken Fettuccine for an entree. The sauce was almost soup-like and very thin and lacked flavor. Very disappointing.
Chilly evening so asked for snide table mate as of requested patio. Nothing inside available but they gave us a table in a sheltered corner of the patio with a great heater. Service was perfect and food was fantastic!!!
Literally the worst dinner I’ve had in a long time in every possible way
The service is always exemplary and every staff member makes us feel so welcome. Barbara, in particular, has been amazing. Regardless of how busy she is she always take the time to say hello and her service is excellent. She is efficient, friendly and is able to anticipate what we need. She is always aware of what patrons need and does whatever she can to make each guest feel comfortable and valued. What an asset she is to the restaurant!
This food was average at best. There are many italian restaurants in Palm Springs that are much better. The service was like what you would expect at Denny's. The main courses arrived minutes after ordering, just after the first glass of wine. The salad was forgotten and no bread was served. We rejected the main course until after the salad and some bread. The ambiance is very good, the service was not good and the food was so so. We can not recommend this place
Staff was generally inattentive.
We had wanted to order a bottle of wine with our meal, but they were difficult to track down.
When they did come to the table, they were rushed and in a hurry to remove plates even though we were still eating.
Food quality was average.
We had a 7:45 reservation and didn’t get seated until almost 9.
The food was excellent and the waiter's good humor and attentive service added to the enjoyable dining experience.
Great service! Price fix menu was amazing!
Solid place for some upscale dining! Sat outside and was very pleased with my meal!
Started out with quick service, but the time between appetizers and meal was too long. Food was excellent!
We had stopped going to Al Dente about a year ago. We are locals and even WITH a reservation, they were making us wait for more than 30 minutes for our table
When I walked in, we were 12 minutes early. The person at the door told us it would be “about 30 minutes”. I told him that if we did not have a table on or before our reservation (15 min). We would leave immediately and never return.
They gave us a table at our exact time.
The food and service was excellent as before. But if they can’t learn to sit people at their proper time, then they will just continue to lose business
The service was prompt and friendly. The portions were generous and all food items, incl. desserts, tasted great -- the pasta was indeed al dente! Finally, the prices were reasonable, so great value. We will probably be back.
Went with my husband for our wedding anniversary. Our server, Jeff, was so personable and helpful. The food was delicious! I highly recommend Al Dente and plan on going back again!
Good food. Not very busy for a Sat. Night.
Waitstaff and service were great and the food was very good. They allow you to bring your own wine which is wonderful
We were a party of 6. I made the reservation on Open Table shortly before we arrived. We were greeted very nicely, seated at a table good for conversation and had a wonderful waiter. All the staff was kind and helpful. My pasta dish, quattro formaggio, was so good I am tempted to return to Palm Springs just to order it again.
From entrance to exit every detail was excellent. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. Service was fantastic, we will be coming back soon
We always enjoy Al Dente
Nice little restaurant near the Palm Springs theater. Ate dinner here before the musical Camelot and people were friendly, service good. Food good, nothing spectacular but good choice if you are attending a play or musical. Theater is a 2 minute walk from restaurant.
We were here in 1996 with friends to celebrate our anniversary and returned this year with many of the same friends to celebrate yet another anniversary. Everyone in our group of nine enjoyed delicious food and excellent service, set in a charming outdoor setting. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this restaurant to others looking for a great meal at a reasonable price.
Warm welcome. Good food. Will be back.
First time at this restaurant. Food excellent. Pasta cooked just right. Portions very large. one criticism is the bread. It need to be crustier and not so much like a tastless corn bread. the good news was we didn't eat it. Less calories. Will return.
We love this place and come here every time we are in Palm Springs. We love garlic and we love this Restaurant 😎😎😎😎
Great local spot that serves consistently good Italian food.
Service is always attentive. Easy to park in the area.
Excellent food and service
A dependable dining experience. Food is delicious, service is thoughtful and an excellent value.
We practically had the restaurant to ourselves so the service was exemplary. The wait staff is very welcoming. The food is terrific.
Always happy with our experience at Al Dente
Loved sitting in a booth overlooking the front patio and Palm Canyon foot traffic. Great service, very good food. Will definitely return.
We always enjoy Al Dente. Romantic, classic, delicious. And Gonsalvo was delightful. Highly recommended, especially for dinner for two.
Prices were much higher than their online menu, and average food at best. The bread was dry and tasteless...The decor was very dated, which is not important if the food and value were great, and they were not
