   The restaurant was pretty empty for a Saturday night - which I guess was a little off-putting. Based on some of the other reviews, I was most worried about the service. However, our waiter was very good. He could’ve been better presented, but otherwise he was very personable and attentive. Our food and drinks came out quickly. The food itself is overpriced. It’s good - just overpriced. While me and my date were both stuffed at the end, the portions could’ve been larger for the prices. There were 3 items they were out of as well, which was a tad disconcerting - although our waiter did say that they were changing their menu soon. The flavor was good - nothing to write home about but nonetheless well made. Overall I hope to see this restaurant take off and stay around. The future hinges on attracting a larger crowd - either by upping the cuisine or lowering their prices. The ambiance could be improved if it were a little cozier (maybe candlelight vs overhead lighting).

   Some of the best food in Denver. Always great flavors, interesting textures, and wonderful service. Absolutely going to be going there again and again.

   We tried this place right after it first opened and there were a few hiccups, such as the dessert custard being plain runny and being out of stuff. We went back the other day, several months later, and the same issues continue. They were out of two of the wine choices we made and were also out of the Frenet listed on the desert drinks menu. Maybe they need a new bar manager. As for the desserts this time around? The donut hole dessert was just served raw and sent back. The food truly is pretty good but it just feels like there is a lot that hasn't been pulled together to make it a thorough enjoyable experience.

   My boyfriend and I came in on NYE. There was a pretty decent snow earlier in the day; because of this the bartender had evidently called off. After being seated it did take some time for our server to come to our table, however, we watched her running back and forth from other tables to the bar trying to be a server and a bartender at the same time so she was clearly swamped. Once she slowed down enough to finally get to us everything went perfectly. The food was amazing and the service was great. Our server was an absolute delight. Additionally, the atmosphere was great. It's dark and quiet. There's a case of plants growing in the center that gives off a fantastic glow in the dark restaurant. I definitely recommend it.

   very unique food combinations - we were quite pleased with the different meals we tried. Staff, including chef, were attentive and informative.

   My husband and I came here for NYE dinner and were unfortunately disappointed with the overall experience. The service was poor, the waitress seemed to be spread too thin for the amount of tables she was taking care of. With that being said, when she did come by our table, her interactions with us were odd. Tried ordering two different beers which they were out of. The first beer was comped, which was appreciated. We ordered the soup as an appetizer and it was luke warm. One of the entrees ordered was a ribeye (ordered medium) and it was VERY rare. Another server took it back to the kitchen and a second ribeye came out cooked appropriately as ordered. When we got our bill the soup was a higher price than stated on the menu. The waitress said the prices have increased but weren't reflected correctly on the current menu. I find that very misleading and frustrating. For a NYE dinner it didn't meet the expectations my husband and I were looking for. Food was good but not note worthy. Will not return.

   Food was delicious! They were clearly down a few staff members on New Years Eve but somehow kept the restaurant moving with what seemed like just 6 people total! Got the lambeh appetizer which had delicious pita chips. Scallops entree was delicious, if a little small.

   We loved the entrees of scallops and salmon but weren't so impressed by the charcuterie. The entrees really were fantastic and delicious.

    We have never been to Denver before and found Ad Hominem through an Open Table search. It is a cool little restaurant in LoDo that was walking distance from our condo so we gave it a try. We had the beet salad, gnocchi, and the seared salmon. The food was very fresh and delicious! The service was great (thanks Kevin!). If I lived in Denver, Ad Hominem would definitely add Ad Hominem to my list of regular restaurants.
