Food and table service was great, Only issue encountered was the hostess management of the reservation, had attended an event prior to dinner which ended much sooner than expected so called at 5pm to change reservation (originally at 7) to earlier and was told my specific table was being used and would not be available until closer to 7, at which time I said I wanted to cancel, the restaurant threatened to charge me $25 for cancelling which I would have understood if the restaurant was full but when I arrived early at 615 there were many open tables unused which we could have used sooner. We should have been allowed to dine sooner given the empty room but instead had to wait for “our table” that was surrounded by empty tables.
The food and service here are excellent. A group of us had brunch; it was a bit noisy during the peak of service, but the service and great food made up for it.
Server Katie was great. Appetizers were very mediocre except for the deviled eggs. Salmon was not cooked well- dry and misleading description. Sandwiches were also mediocre- sorry! Wanted it to be better.
Acova Hit it out of the park. One of our Top experiences for 2021!! Food, service and hospitality were all outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!
I can't move forward to give feedback based on you website without typing up something.
This should not be complicated. :)
We were looking for a restaurant close the Immersive Van Gogh Experience and Acova came up. We were very pleased with our entire dinner from cocktails, appetizers, dinner, and dessert. We would absolutely go back!
Booths are quite tight from seating to table top, my only complaint! Food was delicious and service was good, considering the pandemic conditions.
The drinks were well made and delicious. The food was great as well. Loved the street tacos! Definitely would come here again!
Excellent brunch. Mimosas aren’t bottomless, but affordable. Food was DELICIOUS!
Wonderful restaurant- the food and drinks were fantastic and priced fairly. We arrived early and while the place was bustling, we were accommodated with heated outdoor patio bar service, which was fantastic.
Good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, really helpful that the menu highlighted which items could be changed to either vegetarian or vegan. Prices were really good and the food was excellent. Service was perfect, not to fussy and very friendly. Easy to park in nearby streets. We'll be back.
I took a friend there for her birthday - the food has always been really good. The food was FANTASTIC and waiter Alex was TERRIFIC. We ordered 3 appetizers and 2 salads - SO SO SO good!!!
Food was excellent - sophisticated flavors, perfect size portions.
Great mid week lunch spot.
My go to place. Service is fantastic, food never disappoints and plants everywhere!
Cute neighborhood restaurant... I would recommend to those living in that part of town.
I went to Acova with my sister and a longtime friend. We waited about 10 minutes before the waitress took our order. Then when the food showed up about 30 minutes later, my order was wrong. The manager rushed a new order but it took another 10 minutes. The waitress didn’t apologize for messing up the order and the manager did not take anything off of the tab for the mix up.
Great food despite being out of some things as we visited on a Sunday. Substitutes were very good. We will be back.
The food was very good. One disappointment was the Turkey Panini which seemed to be made with plain white sandwich bread, but the posolé soup was excellent. Noise level is very loud — at least for Sunday lunch — which made for difficult conversation.
Great brunch options and a nice big lunch menu. Indoors was pretty noisy but we were seated outside on a beautiful day and a quiet street which made conversation much easier. Fabulous and knowledgeable waitress, too!
Second time dining at Acova and it did not disappoint. They accommodated a group of six that included a wheelchair very well. Food and drinks were sublime. Only critique is the noise level can get loud but the restaurant has no control over this! They’re popular and that’s a good thing. Just something to note if you’re looking for a quiet/romantic meal… go at a non-peak time!
If you have celiac disease, please be careful here. My husband got sick (glutened) after eating here. We just didn’t feel that they took the allergy seriously.
Hello Anonymous, I am so very sorry to hear that you felt like you got glutened at Acova. I have celiac disease myself and designed my menu and procedures with my disease in mind. We definitely take gluten allergy seriously. Eating at the restaurant practically every day since we opened, I have never been glutened. I honestly do not know how that may have happened. Thank you for making us aware. We will make sure we continue to do our best to avoid this from happening. Betsy
Amazing! The food and the atmosphere of this place is so warm yet fancy. The drinks were delicious and the food even more so. The owner also pops in and out and is very pleasant to speak to. This is becoming my new favorite place.
We were greeted warmly & that vibe continued throughout our meal. Our food was delicious. We will be back! Thank you!
Excellent food, quick service. Apps and desserts came out staggered, instead of sitting on the counter, which was most appreciated.
My friends and I were very impressed with Acova. Will return!
We went for lunch and had the ahi tuna tostadas & bowl of tomato soup, both excellent!!! Always a great atmosphere & friendly service.
Great desserts and service. It was pretty noisy, so not a great place for an intimate dinner but still a fun vibe.
Love this place! Great food and lots of healthy options.
Visited here last night for the first time! We LOVED the atmosphere and got started with some great drinks. The pierogis are a must!! The owner Betsy came out greeted us. Shes German and you definitely can tell!! COMFORT food the max, with elegant plating. Will be back soon!!
This place was delicious! They also have plenty of gluten free options which made it easy to order for those with food restrictions. I highly recommend the wings or honey fried chicken.
We’ll be back! Our server was wonderful!
We loved our dining experience at Acova! We were sat at the perfect booth, the drink options are unique, and the food was delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Will definitely be returning!
Great dinner but very difficult to hold conversations.
This was our first time to Acova and it we will be BACK many times. I could have ordered every item....yes it is that fantastic. Our table had the salmon, the scallops, the short ribs, the crab cakes and the cauliflower. Every item was on point and every plate was clean. Our server, Hannah, made sure that the surprise birthday dessert arrived perfectly. Speaking of which...the bread pudding was the best I have ever tasted. Do yourself a favor and get in here.
Food was ok- beef short ribs were the driest I’ve ever had, and I showed them how burnt mine was. They comped one drink, but on the whole bit at all worth the money. Was there with good friends, had a blast, service was great!
Nice comfort food, great service.
Good food - gave us space to hang and enjoy ourselves.
Our whole experience was underwhelming. One guest ordered the brunch Prime Rib Hash and it was just a pile of meat on a plate with bland potatoes on the side. Same goes for the Dixie Chicken. It was under seasoned and not plated very well. Another guest ordered the Frittata with fruit on the side, which was 2 small slices of orange, what looked like canned pineapple and some very thinly sliced apple.
We asked for condiments several times and did not receive them and our server was rarely seen at our table. We’ve been in for dinner plenty of times and had better experiences, so maybe brunch time is just a miss.
Loved it. Was recommended to us. We'll go back again.
