Wonderful setting in a house on a hill overlooking vineyards with wraparound porch. We sat outside on porch. Service was really slow and finally got out of there after 2 hours. The restaurant was not busy. The pastries and bloody Marys were great. I pwould return for the ambiance and brunch and hope the service improves. The lady with the water came too frequently. I would have rather had the server give us better service.
The reviews for this restaurant gave me high expectations and it did not disappoint. Everything our group ordered from the cocktails to dessert was the best, as advertised. In our group of four we obviously tried the signature Margarita with it's foamy top along with their version of a Moscow Mule. Both were very very well done. With them we had the potato chip and yogurt dip snack which was the perfect combo. Starters included a huge salad and a really wonderful Lamb sausage in creamy polenta which was the absolute best. The main course included Risotto and steak and Penne pasta. The sauce for the pasta was almost to the point that we wanted to lick the bowl. The risotto was perfect and the steaks were perfect. It is hard to please me with steak preparation but these did the trick. They were perfectly trimmed without fat and gristle and cooked perfectly through witha little char on the outside and pink in the middle. Dessert was cheeses and 20 year tawny port along with a sorbet. We were in heaven the whole time. Don't pass up this place when in St. Helena.
Great food, drinks are expensive (not expected) but definitely enjoyed
Service was amazing. We went for a special birthday brunch. Atmosphere and food was great.
My wife and I had an amazing experience there for our anniversary. It’s a beautiful place and the staff were wonderful across the board. We had several people highly recommend Acacia House so we had high expectations going in and our expectations were exceeded. We will be back whenever we’re in the area.
Food was phenomenal for the most part. My fish was salty, but the lamb tartare, the gem salad and ribeye were all amazing. Waiter was great as well. My only complaint is the tables are so large, you feel less intimate with the people you're dining with and closer to the person who might happen to be seated next to you.
The service was amazing and more importantly, the food was absolutely delicious!!!!
I proposed to my girlfriend who said yesss! And the team at Acacia House made it a night to never forget!!
Food was delicious! Highly recommend the Lamb Tartare, Rigatoni with peas and the Burrata! Service was exceptional and it was fun to watch the Chef's cook with the open concept kitchen behind the window.
Stayed at Los Alcobas, so Acacia House made sense. Nice little patio out front to have a cocktail or two before dinner. Once seated for dinner everything was great. Service was outstanding. Not a real big menu, but enough for everyone to find something. Food was excellent. Certainly on the list to dine again when I return to Napa.
OK food - nothing to write home about. Disappointed in the monkfish which
wasn't a cheap entree. Very noisy. Overly high corkage fee for Napa Valley
I believe Acacia House is the finest dining experience in the valley north of Yountville.
It was wonderful! The service, food and ambience was great! They also left us a nice Anniversary card when we noted that it was our Anniversary. We will definitely be back again and recommend to our friends .
Really delicious food in a beautiful atmosphere!
Delicious paleo food options. Such a pleasure to have farm to table fresh ingredients. Loved it!
Exceeded our expectations. Great experience. I would recommend Acacia House to anyone looking for a great food experience in a wonderful location.
Went for lunch on a Saturday and the menu was limited to brunch only. They need to limit Brunch to Sunday only.
I think I would recommend for the atmosphere and look and service. I’m not sure I could recommend for the food that we experienced. Perhaps other items on the menu were better than we experienced...
Coming out from the east bay we were disappointed thinking we were getting the “Lunch” menu at 12:15 on a Saturday but told only the “Brunch” menu available on the weekend even though not stated anywhere on the online menus. Would only return if able to on a weekday. The margarita was very good.
Unbearably loud! Slow service. Literally took his time checking ID‘s with magnifying glass...
We had a great time - after a day of wine tasting, I loved coming here to wind up the evening (stayed at hotel). Enjoyed the cocktails at the bar followed by intimate dinner. My husband devoured the steak and my halibut was perfect. Top notch food and service - just what we wanted.
Our meal was delicious and attention to every detail was beyond our expectations! Thank you.
Absolutely great menu and service. Will be back soon
Four of us, two locals and my wife and I from out-of-town, had an outstanding dinner and evening at Acacia House. The setting was stunning, even on a rainy evening. We were warmly greeted at the door and were shown to our table within minutes. The restaurant service was impeccable, from the waiter who took our orders, to the servers who presented our courses, to the Manager who visited with us at our table. A special Thank You to the Manager, Greg Neal, who took the time to talk about the restaurant, the executive chef, and the hotel. He was professional and yet warm and kind. Thank You, Greg! The food was flawless. Among the four of us we shared a salad, sweetbreads with raisins capers, and and almonds, whole roasted acorn squash with brussels sprouts and pumpkin seed pesto, nettle risotto (incredibly delicious), and roast duck with lavender honey turnips and carrots. Each dish ;was well-executed and the portions were generous (the duck was enough for two meals). We tried three desserts, all of which were delicious (the olive oil cake, figs, lemon panna cotta, and pistachios was amazing.) Although we brought our own bottle of wine which the waiter graciously decanted for us, their wine list was large and seemed appropriately priced for the quality of the dinner.
I would highly recommend Acacia House for a fine dining evening out. The food and service were excellent, and the price point was very reasonable.
We would to come back!
Best meal we’ve had in a long time. First time I’ve had sweetbreads and I was absolutely floored by how delicate and delicious they were. The presentation, service, and bread(!) were top notch. We will be coming back every time we are up in Napa.
Chef Chris Consentino’s Acaia House is totally lovely! What impressed us the most was the friendly, warm, outstanding service we received. It was a birthday lunch for my best friend and I and several staff members came by the table to wish us happy birthday. The restaurant has a gracious feel. The food portions are good and the food incredibly tasty. There’s a pastry chef Wizard in the kitchen! The petite pastries and the terrific butter that came with them or just outstanding. Additionally the desserts at the end of our meal were incredibly memorable.
All in all I would highly recommend this restaurant. While we were there for brunch, it’s my hope to go back for dinner sometime soon.
During as recent Napa Valley trip, we booked Acacia House in St Helena based solely on its positive Open Table reviews-we were blown away at how good our first meal was so went back a second time in the same week for another delicious dinner.
Aside from the lovely, subtle modern farmhouse decor and excellent unpretentious service, the thing that stands out about Acacia House is how its kitchen elevates simple ingredients like kohlrabi, sweetbreads, and chicken breast into elegant, tasty centerpieces of beautifully presented dishes. Imaginative garnishes-think whole pistachios that have been dusted with ground pistachios and slightly candied, or smoked mushrooms-further elevate unexpected flavor combinations.
The wine list is well rounded and fairly priced; it also has interesting vineyard stories printed next to some of the local featured wines. Cocktails, like the food, are imaginative and don’t disappoint.
As for value, the dishes aren’t inexpensive but not ridiculous expensive either. A delicious satisfying spaghettini dish is in the low $20 range...
Definitely dine at Acacia House-you’ll be greeted warmly and served a memorably good meal.
Strange meal. Very inconsistent. Host was not very warm or welcoming, though the rest of the staff were kind and efficient. Signature margarita was so tart it was undrinkable - sent it back and ordered something else. Hamachi crudo was excellent, but little gem Caesar was swimming in anchovies (not to my wife's liking). Chicken was superb, as was the burger and the lobster sandwich. The pear dessert was pretty good, but the chocolate dessert was bizarre - mousse topped with cream then sprinkled with a savory herb dust reminiscent of crushed garlic croutons - just not good at all. The high notes were great, but the missteps were so dramatic we will likely not be back. At these prices, you should not have to wonder whether your next dish will be really good or really bad.
Our third time here! Just love it all, food, ambience, interesting wine list. Brought our daughter and family here today. We all loved it!! My daughter had the special which was chicken fried steak. So good!
Great as always. Thank you AH and team.
The Burger with the added egg was the Best!
The Gin Fizz was the Best Ever!!
Everything about this place was excellent.
They even have Valet parking.
Chris Cosentino sold out. Incanto was one of our favorite restaurants for years. We love Boccalone products. But this place is an overpriced sham. $175 pre tip bill on mediocre food. (I did live our server. She was the most real thing about this place.) Acacia House is a pig in lipstick, if you will.
Loved our dining experience! The schnitzel was the best we have ever tasted! Can't wait until our next visit.
One of our favorite restaurant in Napa Valley! Great ambiance, very good service and delicious dishes!
Bravo Chris Cosentino!
Overall a very good restaurant. Great decor, good food and good service. Worth going to if in the area. Nothing really stood out as spectacular except the olive oil cake for dessert. Corkage fee is way to high and punitive at $35.
Best dining experience we’ve had in the area. Staff was incredibly hospitable, food was delicious and design is stylish and comfortable.
nice ambience, service and food very good. a find in St Helena.
Great service and food
