This review is for the weekend brunch menu - I made lunch reservation at Acacia house based on the recommendation of a friend who had been for dinner. I wasn't able to find any menus online and did not realize that they would have only a brunch menu. It was pretty standard brunch faire without much innovation. The atmosphere was lovely and the wait staff was very friendly, but the food was honestly nothing special.
Our 2nd time there, last was inside and bit noisy, but this weekend outside on porch for beautiful warm night couldn't have been better. Food and selection were wonderful, craft drinks delicious, and service warm, friendly and professional. Top class!
Fantastic food. I am a Saint Helena local and it is my current most favorite in town.
First time in Acacia House and didn’t know what to expect.
We were treated to masterful array of dishes that were insanely good. Service from the moment we checked in to getting our car from the valet were over the top.
Server Cayla was simply marvelous.
Definitely this place is a show topper. We will be back.
The Fruits and Nuts salad is to die for. Cannot wait to return to have it again.
Wonderful dinner overall. Excellent gazpacho, and cap ribeye with vegetables. Superior service and ambience. It will be the first place we will go for dinner on our next visit to St Helena.
When we arrived, we were the first ones to arrive on the terrace which has a lovely seating area.
The waiter was pushy, asking us many times if we wanted to add certain drinks or food items- this was a big turnoff! The food was good but nothing exceptional for the price. The portions are small, and the drink pours are not generous.
First of all, don't let the website being re-routed through the hotel fool you, this restaurant is most definitely a gem that shines on its own! We had the most amazing dinner ever at Acasia House, even better than some very highly rated restaurants in the area (not to mention any names). From the minute you walk into this elegant yet cozy restaurant, you will be welcomed by the most amazing staff that make you feel as if you are being welcomed into their home. And it just keeps getting better from there - the food, WOW! Fresh local ingredients, expertly crafted cocktails, beautiful tasty deserts, you will not be disappointed. If you are going to go out for dinner in Napa Valley, whether it be a special occasion on not, Acasia House is the place to go!
It was mediocre food, expensive. Our waiter Collin was attentive, excellent. My husband had spaghettini which was tasty. I had mussels and monkfish. Mussels were not
Plump at all. Si Bon restaurant in Rancho Mirage,ca serves the best mussels in town. They get their mussels from Canada (plump mussels).i wouldn’t recommend this place
We love their service here! And food too!
Our 3rd visitor to Acacia House for a relative's birthday.
We were welcomed to our table with a glass of champagne , very thoughtful and generous . Thank you for the attention it made our guest a ourself feel very special.
The gazpacho (soup of the day) was the perfect summer dish, crudo was very fresh, well presented and seasoned. The 3rd appetizer was the little gems , it was written to be served with "boquerones" but they were nowhere to be found on the plate. As we inquired, we found out from our server that the kitchen was out but didn't bother to let her know.
Main course were the burger , cooked to our guest liking and well prepared, I ordered the monkfish and mussels served in a delicious broth, our third guest ordered the lobster "submarine" said to be served on a torpedo roll.
Again, they must have been out of torpedo roll, it was served on a slice of toasted seeded bread, not the same...Something mentioned on the menu should make it to the plate.
Our check was presented , no dessert or coffee were offered. We were not ready to go just yet and ordered the only 2 desserts available that day. Berries cheesecake, very simple and average, and "cookies and cream" scoop of sorbet with 2 shortbread.
I hope to believe they were having a bad day , it happens.
We will come back with our "Joker" card and hope we enjoy Acacia house as much as we did the 2 previous visits.
This hidden gem is hip, yet casual! The menu often changes, but remains fresh and top notch quality. The service is highly attentive and they are willing to make substitutes if needed. Definitely try the crudités and bean dip—it is amazing! We stayed at the hotel, so this was a great meal in Napa!
Excellent food, service was wonderful. The margarita was fabulous
Delicious food, great dining room and porch and the best margaritas I’ve ever had!
Food and presentation very good. Very nice and capable staff. Attentive. Corkage kinda’ up there. $25 small flute of champagne. This is the place you can always get in on Friday or Saturday night .
Fantastic meal and overall dining experience. Looking forward to returning on a regular basis!
Amazing! Good, service and atmosphere were great.
Lovely dinner. Really took care of us, including the som. Great experience
Had a small bridal brunch here, and everything was impeccable. Beautiful space - we sat outside on the front porch - delicious food and drinks. Definitely get the bloody mary, $15 cinnamon roll (yes, it was worth it), chilaquiles and that fried chicken sandwich. All perfect before another day of wine tasting and celebrating!
So lovely to sit on the porch and have a relaxed dinner. Hamachi crudo with macerated strawberries and a hint of heat? Yes please! Service was strong from the get go and several staff members made us feel well cared for. Thank you!
Food, service, and ambiance were excellent. Risotto was spot on and best duck my friend has ever had! The venue is beautiful and comfortable, highly recommend!!
Food was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back. Service was great.
Lovely meal with fantastic service. Don’t sleep on the specialty margarita!
Sat at table 20 minutes before saw hostess.Hamburger delivered nearly raw.
Water glass ran empty multiple times.
Service lacking which was a shame given the location and ambiance. Had excellent endive and apple salad. Crudo was passable. Cocktails were great but we waited a long time for them. Had dirty plates in front of us most of the night. Just generally disappointed as with better service this place would be an elevated experience.
Great food, service and ambiance! Perfect spot for dinner after wine tasting in the Valley.
I really wanted to like this place, but our server wasn't very good and the food was just okay. I had a salad that was so over dressed; so much honey and vinegar it hurt my teeth. When i said something to the server he just said "it has honey in it" and walked away. The risotto was very nice and my companion's steak wad cooked correctly but had no flavor. Prices WAY too high for what you get.
Amazing food! Simple yet refined
A fantastic environment
Avian House was wonderful. We were seated at the beautiful front porch, so had the chance to enjoy a lovely evening. The food was creative and delicious. The dining room in the restaurant is beautiful. This experience will be one to remember about Napa for years to come.
Great meal and nice and quiet. My wife had the schnitzel and I had the sable and pei mussels. Both were outstanding! Will definitely go back next time we are in the area.
Wonderful dinner, but the dessert!!! OMG! We had the olive oil cake topped with lemon panna cotta, honestly I think this is the best dessert I’ve EVER had!! Pictured was our amuse bouche mushroom mousse ..... delish!!!
Other than the fact we needed to ask for a little more bread twice and it took a long while to order dessert, everything else was delicious and lovely!
The server was correct, the margarita was phenomenal. I got the duck confit and it was overdressed and over salted. But the space was absolutely gorgeous and the staff friendly and attentive.
Lovely setting in a restored historic home part of a new Luxury Collection Hotel. We were seated on the veranda which was very nice on a warm and sunny day. Service was mostly attentive. Previewed menu online and was looking forward to lunch. Found that weekends is brunch only, which was a disappointment. Also not noted anywhere on website or menus that lunch is only Monday to Friday and Brunch is Saturday and Sunday. Also, the signature cocktail I ordered was unavailable due to lack of ingredients. The brunch menu is also fairly limited unless you want a breakfast item. So I forewent a drink and find the fried chicken sandwich to be a bit dry as I didn’t eat the bun. Luckily, our delightful friends with whom we were dining made up for a mediocre dining experience.
Restaurant is location in a remodeled mansion next to oldest wineries in St. Helena. A venerable step back in time. Free valet parking. Beautiful, serene setting for dinner, particularly since tables are set apart enough to allow everyone at table to converse freely. Accommodating waiters and non-rushed service. Superb lamb dish and green risotto. Would heartily recommend restaurant for a special occasion.
Food was good and service was good. Only downside is the manager came to our table twice and was talking about his personal political views which was not appropriate since we were trying to enjoy our Friday evening dinner.
Great happy hr!
