A great restaurant meal can be an act of storytelling and transportation. Sliding onto a stool at a bar, being met with a classy and silky martini punctuated with a briny olive, is there to prepare you for a plate of finely-shucked oysters that were bobbing in the Atlantic 36 hours ago. In this moment the noise and cacophony can melt away, your phone finds its way back into your pocket, and we find communion with those of us on our left and right.

Another Great Visit! Javier once again took amazing care of us—he seated us upstairs, which is a little quieter and perfect for the kind of relaxed evening we enjoy. He’s truly the best! For dinner, we started with the scallops ceviche, which were fresh, light, and had just the right amount of kick—delicious! We also split the Caesar salad, and it was excellent. I had the picanha steak, which you don’t usually see on a steakhouse menu, and it was outstanding. My wife had the filet, which was also perfectly cooked and full of flavor. And of course, the warm, Japanese Milk rolls were absolutely to die for. We’ll definitely be back again and again!

We ordered an 8 oz Picanha steak medium rare to share along with the potato mash. First we polished off a dozen oysters. Being from the west coast, we hesitated on the oysters but they were fresh and perfect. The steak was grilled to perfection and seasoned well. That cut of meat can be a bit lean and tough, but this was tender. As a chef myself, I would offer some advice for the potato mash. When whipping boiled potatoes to achieve a smooth consistency it can create too much gluten and result in a gummy texture. The flavor of the potatoes was excellent, but they were a bit gummy. We will be back!

We had a delightful meal at A5 Steakhouse! We had never been there before and found the food, service and ambiance wonderful! Delicious food, especially liked the rhubarb flan! 😊 Superb service. The French Dip sandwich was the best one my partner has ever had and he loved the oysters both east and west coast!!! Will go again!

Everything from the food to the waitstaff was incredible. For starters we let the waitress pick out the oysters of the day, and they were full of flavor! As someone who comes from the East coast, it was a delightful eat. We had the last two Del Monaco steaks of the night with A5 sauce, and it did not disappoint. We also shared the Mac & cheese croquettes, the white fish, and the kimchi fried rice which quite literally stole the show! For dessert we had the chocolate bar (a bit sour for our taste) and espresso martinis. If you like unique flavors and a modern chic atmosphere, this is a must visit. A great spot for a business meal!
