Very good love the seafood
Service was great food was good would eat there again.
Dominic was our server and was fabulous! Food was delicious.. I had salmon husband loved his fish and chips. This is our new favorite seafood place. Price was great. Next time we go I want to try the crab cakes.. Yum!
Really outstanding staff, friendly and helpful. Seafood gumbo was delicious, spicy and tasty. We will happily return.
Excellent food, particularly if you enjoy spicy authentic Cajun style cooking. Very casual environment, very friendly service. Went there for the Restaurant Week special, prix fixe menu. Very good choices for each course. Went away stuffed. It is a keeper.
Service was not the best... A server had called off so it looked like the manager was running everything. He was extremely nice and pleasant though. We were not in any rush so it didn’t ruin our dinner. The food was amazing. I am from Seattle and know seafood well. The clam chowder was decent, I had the shrimp boil with garlic butter sauce and it was delicious. It was a little spicy which was awesome. I did see another review about soggy corn which was true but ate it anyway! We had fried bananas and ice cream for dessert and was tasty. I would like to come back to try more of their menu. It’s hard to find good seafood here but I think they do a good job with it!
Only one waitstaff person for a decently busy restaurant, he was working super hard and managed to stay pretty on top of things but could have used some help. Food was tasty and exactly what we were looking for in a Cajun boil.
Excellent seafood. The entrée can feed 2 adults easily with left-overs. Because of that (1 'meal' for 2 individuals) it is not too pricey--just right actually. I highly recommend. The total cost was around $55 with an appetizer such as clam chowder which my wife and I also shared with each other. Excellent place.
Went to celebrate Fat Tuesday hoping to avoid crowded “usual” spot, we were highly pleased, but a little disappointed that there was no Fat Tuesday promo, decor or mention. We will return as everything was awesome.
Great food and great service. Will definitely go back.
We enjoyed the seafood, but the corn was mushy and the parmesan fries barely tasted different than regular fries, except they were greasier because of the cheese.
Great food great service
April 18, 2017. Drove up there from Los Lunas cause we saw the Chef on Good Morning New Mexico. The dishes he made looked intriguing. The wife and I orderd a trio sampler had Calamari, Sweet Chili wings, and Jalepeno Corn Hush Puppies. In addition we ordered a few more items. Awesome original cuisine recipes !!! Try the very unique Sweet Potatoe Bisque. Crab cakes were divine. Jalapeño Corn Hush Puppies...... just have to say...."Mmmmmm" on those. Calamari was excellent. The wings really were tasty with that original Sweet Chili flavor. Annnnndddddd.......no words can express, or be adequate enough, to describe the fresh hot Chocolate Caramel Funnel Fries.....those alone are an orgasmic experience for the palate.
The crawfish were magnificent! When (not if!) we return, we will have the clams in the house sauce...I heard they were a religious experience :)
99 Degrees doesn't post the menu online. What you will find is boil-in-bag seafood with seasoning. Order your favorite seafood with your preferred spice/sauce and you will not be disappointed. The King crab, clams and shrimp with garlic-butter was our choice with a medium house sauce on the side. That was plenty of food for two, but we ordered the scallops just because the combo was so good.
We went to 99degrees during Restaurant Week, having heard nothing about it. I had a bowl of gumbo that was excellent, the best that I have had outside of New Orleans. It had a good spice level and excellent flavor. My main dish was scallops. They were prepared nicely, done as a seafood boil with sausage, potato, and corn. My wife had a pan fried soft shelled crab that was excellent. We finished the meal by splitting an individual chocolate cake with a white chocolate shell and covered with a warm chocolate sauce. It was very good.
I think that the seafood boil here is better than the others available in town. Less overwhelmed by butter and with better flavor and spice level.
Second visit and we'll be back! Food was excellent, service was spot on. Has made our list of regulars and that's not easy
Food, service and ambiance was amazing. An excellent experience. WAAAAAAY better than Down 'N Dirty!!! Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family!
Those of you in Albuquerque know that Central/Nob Hill area is being effected by construction. Knowing this, I made a conscious effort to patronize the business there. Most of the eateries along central are above average, or they offer really awesome ambiance. However, 99 seemed to miss the mark a bit. I am not sure who the first was, but there are several "bag and boil" seafood eateries in Albuquerque, and they didn't do too much to distance themselves from the competition. Food was good, can't complain about that. Prices comparable to other "bag and boil" restaurants. However, the selection was small, and the service was slow and inexperienced. I can't totally knock the place, but I can' totally recommend.
Went to,meet some friends here on a Friday night. There was a large birthday party behind us that was quite boisterous so it was hard to have a conversation. Service was slow taking our order and getting drink refills. Owner made up for all this by giving a 20% discount and free dessert even though we didn't complain. Food was OK.
Affordable compared to other establishments that offer the same kind of food. Our server was attentive and the owner seemed very eager to please. I will be returning here in the near future.
Great service and food. Was very impressed to find this seafood gem off of Central. Will definitely be going back.
Good food and Excellent service , accommodated us late hours with a delicious meal
Delicious! It's s hidden gem that everyone should go to!
Very nice. Open all afternoon so we went before the philharmonic at Popejoy
Enjoyed the meal . The king crab legs were large and delicious
Nice menu, great service, pleasant ambience. If you aren't sure what to order, try one of the combos. More than enough for two!
We had a great meal at a reasonable price. The server was friendly and made sure we were well taken care of.
Visited 99 Seafood Kitchen for my son's birthday. The staff are friendly and the service was good. We had the Parmesan garlic fries and calamari for appetizers, and scallops and shrimp in the milder House sauce for the main course, The calamari were just ok, but everything else was delish. My son was also given his choice of dessert for free, and the fried bananas with ice cream did not disappoint--also delish! A bit pricey, but that is to be expected with market price seafood. Highly recommended for special occasions, no need to dress up, as the atmosphere is casual. Nice to have another seafood boil place on town.
