I booked 51fifteen for a birthday party for my nephew. He and his friends LOVED the bacon wrapped shrimp! The portions for the appetizers are actually family size so there was plenty food to go around. They got the stuffed chicken as the entree and it was flavorful. The service was excellent and the decor is gorgeous.
Visited this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. The ambiance is spectacular and cozy. The food was good; however, it was better when we last visited. I expected some sort of special occasion token (I.e. Desert, glass of champagne, etc.) , but nothing was offered. I will visit again because it wasn't bad; however, it could have been better.
My boyfriend really loved his pork chop. I had the red fish but it was just okay for the price. The restaurant decor is nice. The music was kind of like a night club but it was 6pm or so and thus the music seemed out of place for the decor and time of day. Service was very good. Wine was good. Overall, the place was good but did not stand out enough for me that I would go back soon. Also, given the decor of the place and the impeccable clothing and service of the staff, I felt like this place should enforce a dress code.
Awesome newcomer to Melrose! Great to have some Scandinavian food in LA and loved it! The dense rye "toast" is great alone with butter but even better with the herring and egg salad. Would love more toast! Lamb shank is flavorful with a nice texture & they are bold with the horseradish and halibut! The ginger pear is so spicy and well balanced with the chocolate and ice cream. Can't wait to go back
We got the HRW menu but we feel like our food was not up to par. The steak is not so much flavorful, and did not have that reddish fresh color when I ordered a medium rare temperature. Also the salad is just a little tossup, very small portion. The dessert is way too sweet for my taste. Not recommended.
Restaurant had nice ambiance but service was poor. Our appetizers came before our cocktails and waiter was close to non existant. We saw the water boy more than our waiter. The lobster bisque was just flavored with no lobster. One friend stated his main course was very bland even with adding in extra salt, so chef had poor seasoning skills. Other friend stated, his chicken and waffle was served cold. Waiter finally came and brought me my second cocktail, after taking a sip out of the drink, I realized it was the wrong one. I brought it to his attention and he took it back and place it on the bar. Another waiter came by and took that same drink and gave it to another patron sitting on the end of the restaurant. We were completely done with the incompetence and unprofessionalism of this establishment. So overall, I would not recommend this place, especially with so many competive restaurants in houston with way more better tasting food and customer service.
Me and my friends came for houston restaurant week. I made reservations for 8pm. When we got there, they said our table wasn't ready yet and they will come let us know. 20 minutes has passed and they didn't say anything, so we went up to the host and she was like yes your table is ready. During dinner, we asked our waiter for more bread and water and she never brought it to us. We ended up asking another waiter for some water. Then my friend order the red fish, and she had hair in her food. I ordered the T-bone steak which was really good. Other than the slow service, and the hair in the food, the overall experience was ok. I wouldn't visit again but to each its own
We went for restaurant week 3 course menu....the restaurant doesn't seem to care about you if you choose from this menu. The Pinot noir that was part of the restaurant week special was labeled wrong, not a 2008 as printed on the menu, but 2015. My entree was delivered cold and so was my husband's. No one to tell though, waiter disappeared.
Not going back.

Issue #1. Resturant was fairly empty but we still waited longer then we should have for our waiter to greet us, bread, water and drinks.
Issue #2. My water glass had a milky ring around the top so I had to ask for a clean glass
Issue #3. My friends chicken was dry and old.
Issue #4. The 16oz tbone on their restaurant weeks menu is more like an 6oz because it's cut so thin and I ordered it med and it was well done.
Issue #5. I have been sick all night and day! Prob the steak since I'm the only one that had it!
Issue #6. All of our dessert spoons were filthy! Had to ask for new spoons!
Go to Oceanairre or Del Frisco instead!!!
Not a place for foodies. Service was polite but not attentive. Our waiter disappeared when the restaurant was busier. Other staff took care of us. He was attentive when he was ready for us to pay. The food was so-so. I did not care for how they plated my steak. Mashed potatoes with about 10 green tiny green beans, and then they placed my steak on top of that. What??!? Picture that....a T-bone steak about 1/4" thick just laying there (couldn't see what was underneath) The menu said it was a garlic sauce. They weren't kidding. Tons of garlic. I wouldn't go back unless I wanted to stop in for a drink at the bar. The restaurant & bar decor were beautiful.
We had reservations for 1:00 and didn't get seated until 1:40. We were told they over booked. I There were three young girls acting as a hostess and they didn't know what they were doing. The restaurant is very nice, but the food is awful and takes a long time to get.
Overall we had a great experience, the food was good and so was the service. My only complaint would be that they said they ran out of orange juice during a Sunday brunch, but then I saw mimosas being made. So they must have been running low on orange juice and decided to save it for mimosas which would make them more money, but they really shouldn't be running out of orange juice.
We went for restaurant week and there was some function going on in the bar area and it was very very loud. I have been several times but was a bit disappointed this go-round. The chicken was dry and I thought the pork chop had an odd taste to it, and the risotto had the exact same taste. I would've liked a combination of flavors for the entrée. It took a long time between courses and we saw other people in the restaurant come after us being served before us. I would have to say we enjoyed the desert and wine more than the entrées. The restaurant is beautiful and will go again and hope for a better outcome.
I was a single person dining and therefore did not receive adequate service. The lobster bisque was phenomenal however the stuffed chicken was more of a chicken meatloaf with out of season fillers. There was potential for great service, however my server did not treat me as everyone else since I was only a party of one.
The restaurant is visually stunning. The style is modern with clean lines, subdued lighting and plenty of marble. Despite the Saturday night crowd the hosted was pleasant and we were seated quickly.
Be prepared for the noise level; the open space and high ceilings capture every sound in the room. This is not a show stopper but worth noting.
Our waiter was attentive and personable. We had the t-bone and pork chops both of which were excellent . For dessert we tried the chocolate cake and blackberry cobbler. Again, you could not have gone wrong either way. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Reservations are a must; also, do yourself a favor and valet park.
We tried out this restaurant for Houston Restaurant Week. I was a bit worried when I realized it was in the Galleria inside the Saks, but was pleasantly surprised at the size and décor of the restaurant. We had reservations and were seated quickly, but unfortunately there was chocolate cake smeared under the table, so we had to stand and wait several minutes to get that cleaned up. Food: The salad/soup course was very tasty, but we both felt like we wanted much larger portions. The entrees (fish and pork chop) were also quite good, but I would've liked a larger portion of the fish. The chocolate cake and cobbler (more like a crisp) were fairly generic, but satisfactory. Service: It took quite a while to get the courses and drinks delivered, but at least we did not feel rushed. For example, I ordered a cocktail before the entrée was delivered, but did not receive it until after I had finished the entrée. Additionally, when we tried to pay the bill, the restaurant's system was down, so we had to wait 20 minutes or so for things to reconnect before we could checkout and leave. Overall, the food and setting are good for the price, but the general difficulty of getting into the Galleria and the slow service mean we are unlikely to try this place again.
