An excellent meal again. The caesar salad was excellent with bibb lettuce instead of Romaine. Very nice change.

The food was outstanding as in previous visits. A definite place to eat when you are in town. It appears tat most of us are locals which is a good sign also.

The food was delicious! The owner made a special meal for us since they were out of salmon. He improvised with another fish. Tiramisu was out of this world!

We've been to 401 many times since it opened last spring and I must say it's hit its stride. The arancini appetizer -- crispy/creamy risotto croquettes, served with a small, well-dressed salad -- is delicious. So are the salty prosciutto-wrapped asparagus, nicely complemented by an almost sweet burrata. The oxtail was equally good -- succulent and very tender -- sharing the plate with al dente brussels sprouts and blue cheese mashed potatoes. But maybe my favorite of the evening was the monkfish. It was pillow-soft, perfectly and subtly seasoned, and set off with a tomato concasse. For dessert we shared a housemade biscuit strawberry shortcake with a not-too-sweet whipped cream. A lovely ending to a lovely dinner. Well done, 401.

Always glad to dine at 401. Menus change often offering something new every time we have come. The owner, Jack is "manning the helm", and is a capable and entertaining host. 401 is in our hood and we are so happy to have them.
