3-Course Special Dinner
Multiple dates availableIntroducing Kimpton Rowan's Dinner under the stars series starting Wednesday, September 16th. Presenting chef Dan Grunbeck's three course prix fixe menu-sharing delicious new menu each week.
Had the wind not been so strong that we were forced to hold down the tablecloth between bites to keep the lightweight plastic glasses from pouring red wine all Over us and the table, the overall experience would not have been quite so awful. The upbeat and attractive staff did their best to make us comfortable, but battling winds and cold temperatures with a laughable amount of gas heaters scattered about had the evening doomed before the water was even poured. The minimalist pre fixe menu was balanced and priced well, but the accompanying food was barely edible. I had a tuna tar tar that was served on what should have been a large wonton but instead had the flavor and consistency of styrofoam, with a tar tar that looked and tasted like a can of anchovies had been dumped over top of it. A shot glass serving of tomato soup was served in an attractive massive bowl, however the ridiculous portion size and the fact that it was cold overruled the presentation. We all ordered the filet of beef that was a decent presentation and quality Of beef but served on polenta that was seasoned with an overpowering amount of horseradish. Deserts were a choice of just two, an apple crisp and a carrot cake. The crisp was to be served warm but was simply room temperature and resembled slop, and what was sold to us as ice cream was instead a dollop of ready whip. And carrot cake was smothered in a cranberry sauce and walnuts, leftover from thanksgiving I would venture to guess. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Covid excuses will only get you so far and it’s apparent corners were cut in all the wrong places. This was a major disappointment; we cut them some slack for the bad winds they couldn’t control, but the Rowan should be embarrassed for this fiasco. In summary, the execution and set up of the rooftop was barely amateur for what is allegedly the best hotel in PS, and the food was what you might find at a bad wedding hall. Skip this to be sure.
Really excellent food and the view is good. Unfortunately, we had to eat outside and it was windy and cold. Didn't completely spoil the experience, but dress warmly for the time being.
The issues are: Very Very cold and food turns cold very quickly. The winds will blow things away. The weather makes for a very undesirable evening. Had I read the reviews prior to making the reservations I would not have gone. I believe OpenTable should stress that the reviews be read prior to reservations. I also called and it took 2 days for someone to call me back. I was hoping that the heaters had been added after all of the bad reviews. I was informed that the fire department would not approve them. So I asked if I cancelled would I still be charged. The lady sounded like a slight laugh and said yes.
The other issue were the drinks at $14.00 per were very very small. Copley's, Spencer's and Le Vallauris are the appropriate size for the money. We were also amazed that the food was not top quality.
Now for positives: The server and support staff are better than excellent. The surrounding atmosphere is great. Without the staff this would have been rated a one maybe 2. This is some place you would go for a drink during the spring or early fall during the dusk period when the wind is not blowing and the temperature is closer to 70.
Excellent food, excellent service, great views! Will be back!
Poor poor poor.
We decided to dine at 4 Saints based on the reviews and rooftop location.
We were there for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a cold and windy night yet none of the heaters on the rooftop patio were operational. We were freezing... Dinner was more like cafeteria quality. Prime rib was over done and flavorless.
Over rated and way way over priced.
I dont mind spending on a good dinner but they just got it all wrong and seemed very ill prepared for the night.
I would not go again nor recommend dining at 4 Saints.
Was not made aware of set menu! Freezing temperatures outside in open air with no heaters. Food had to be inhaled due to cold temperatures. Did not realize that we would be out open near the pool area. Very disappointed
Lovely restaurant to eat at during Covid as they filled the entire rooftop with tables although it was very windy and cool and there should have been gas heaters; went for Thanksgiving and did not realize it was a fixed prix menu. I would like to try their regular menu next time. The service went above and beyond.
Really enjoyed my experience here. My boyfriends steak was a little cold-as it was 40 degrees out...and not only did our waiter Matt offer to send back a new meal, but also gave us our drinks and bread for free to supplement this. He was the best!
I overall had an amazing experience, for a birthday celebration it felt safe and distanced from everyone else. Only thing I would recommend in the future would be to get some heat lamps as it was definitely chilly!
Food was good. Portions small. No heaters on a very cold night. That really put a damper on things. Made it much less enjoyable. You can get more for your money elsewhere but glad we tried it. Our server Alex, did a nice job.
Awesome poolside prix fix meal Wednesday night!! Yummy food, awesoMe sour dough add on, nice wine & great service. Makes me more likely to visit PS midweek
Really enjoyed the prix fixe menu on Wednesday night - the hostess was really accommodating and seated us an hour early for our reservation, much appreciated.
Our server was charming , the food arrived quickly & all courses were delicious. Good , safe spacing on an outdoor rooftop was a bonus during the COVID outbreak . Thanks to the team for making our date night special .
Having been to 4 Saints pre Covid twice during a 4 day stay, I was super excited to go back to this restaurant even though we were not staying at the hotel. The tables are set up around the pool area, which was disclosed when making the reservation. Our reservation was after 7pm so it was already dark and the only views we had were of the pool and restrooms. Drinks were served in plastic cups. Understandable given that the tables were set up by the pool but a big no no when having a nice dinner date. Now, let’s get to the food. It’s a pre-fixed menu with 3 options for all 3 courses. In addition, you have the option to pick from a couple of appetizer options for an additional charge. We decided to order the bread with roasted garlic and it was absolutely amazing. For the 1st course we ordered the burratta salad, which had a tiny bit of burratta with lettuce that was literally soaked in dressing. For the 2nd course we both ordered the roasted chicken. We received 2 pieces of chicken which were absolutely dry and carrots/green beans that were undercooked and tasteless. For desert we ordered sorbet, which was okay. To summarize, have I known we would have had this kind of experience, I would have made a reservation at many of the other restaurants around the area. Left this place very disappointed.
The roof top was great and beautifully set up. The service was excellent, very attentive. The food was not good. The $10 baguette comes with yummy roasted garlic but then a side of “au jus” which was brown gravy. The same gravy was on top of the chicken. The veggies were way over-cooked. The dessert was bland, and the apple crops looked like a pile of poo with tastes like canned apple filling. All tasted like a plated wedding dinner. The wine by the glass was maybe 3 ounces.
Thank you for a wonderful night out on our anniversary.
Great spot and very well done considering all the Covid constraints. 3 courses is more food than we normally eat, but the food was excellent.
Dinner under the stars, what could be better? Beautiful setting, excellent and attentive service, distanced tables and appropriate safety protocols, delicious food with a limited menu, great cocktails. Highly recommended for a night to forget about the world and have a luxurious evening out.
Everything was lovely except for the bar not having Kalhua. As a Black Russian drinker, that was unfortunate.
My experiences with a prix fixe menu is to showcase the chef’s abilities for a fixed price to give a sample of what to expect from the full menu. This prix fixe did not meet that expectation.
Timing was off from the beginning, we were served our first course well before we received our beverages from the bar.
The salad with grapefruit supremes; don’t get me wrong the flavors were well established with a balance of a good amount of acid however, if you are going to state on the menu that it has grapefruit supremes make sure they come in the salad.
As for the duck, kind of the same situation.
Do not advertise a crispy duck skin breast when the duck had been sous vide but not finished in a skillet or on the plancha to crisp the skin.
Soggy improperly rendered duck fat is not delicious.
Our waitstaff was attentive and extremely friendly and professional.
Try the full menu next time.
Didn't meet expectations of fine dining at a premium hotel. Service struggled throughout the night. Cocktails and salads were yummy. Mains were mixed. Puny attempt at shrimp and polenta with chorizo.
Menu too limited
The experience was nice. Service needs helps... got 1st course b4 appetizer.
Dessert was eaten b4 our coffee's arrived, then had to wait for cream & sugar.
Delicious menu all around! From 1st course to 3rd course my pallette was on a neverending taste ride! The drinks paired well with the food. Great service and gorgeous set up. An incredible experience under the stars in the desert.
We were there for the Wednesday night 3 course menu. It was delicious and the ambiance was fantastic! Highly recommended!
Excellent idea and concept!!
We had the steak and pasta both were wonderful
Have been to the rooftop a few times and was glad to see the dining available up there. Set up for two couples that haven't been there before. Beautiful setup with distancing and servers were masked. Was a little warm but the misters weren't on. That would have been nice. Food was great. We had a mix of servers but they were helpful. The soup was amazing and the rest of the food was very good. For a 3 course meal it was well priced. Would do again.
Delicious creative food, attentive & gracious waitstaff & management, perfect rooftop poolside ambience with a view... a perfect evening!
What a wonderful night Dinner Under the Stars was! It was so great to be out again and have a proper meal. The food was excellent. There were 3 of us and we all had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. My cauliflower bisque was so good I hope to see it on the menu again. Cocktails, food and service was perfect. The weather was perfect for dining on the roof top and we will definitely be booking reservations again.
Had a chance to attend the special rooftop dining offered by 4saints on Wednesday evenings. It was fantastic!!! From the food to the service to the views. Had a fabulous evening and highly recommend.
Wonderful evening, food and service under the stars in a very safe environment.
We have been to 4 Saints on several occasions and couldn’t wait to get back. They did an amazing job, as always, with the menu and food. The service was perfect!
The food and service was excellent. We have no complaints. The price fixed meal was delicious. Our only complaint was that they turned off the misters over our table because someone in management was afraid the tables would get wet. It was over 100 degrees and the humidIty level was under 10%...so we were pretty uncomfortable after they turned the misters off...so much so we rushed through the meal to get back home to AC...too bad...I may have ordered another cocktail.
I would recommend 4 Saints to anyone who wants to have a special dining experience. The food was great, the prices were a bit steep but the views and the service were the best!
The food was very good and fantastic views
The outstanding feature of this restaurant is anbience. It has a gorgeous view of the mountains, so it's worth booking before sunset so that you can enjoy it.
The food is generally good, not great. The octopus appetizer was wonderful --the best dish we ordered.
Service was friendly and accommodating, if not always smooth. The server did a nice job with a birthday request, offering a glass of free bubbly to all and a little chocolate cake for the birthday girl.
Noise level made it impossible for our party of five to have a general conversation. Par for the course these days.
The view from 4 Saints is spectacular and the restaurant's decor is lovely but the food is disappointing.
We were disappointed as other family members were there when originally opened. No dress code, no table cloth, felt like a pub. Waitress was good but too many tables. Food served sporadically. Had to chase wait staff for second bottle of wine. Would not rush back.
Loved the atmosphere, loved the views!
As a once-in-a-lifetime experience. At least, until there is some management to supervise the wait staff so that more attention is paid to diners. Also, many of the outside “view“ tables have the diners’ backs to the view. Also, the tables are small and there are no purse hooks. It is very hard, with the outside tables that are tall with stools, for the stools to slide on the slotted wood deck. A lot of attention needs to be paid to details. The fancy view will only bring people to dinner once. Maybe people might come back to the bar. As noted, above the food (expensive) was good. Good luck.
It was a perfect dinner. Thomas is our usual server and as usual did not disappoint! Michael at the front desk was excellent in arranging a fantastic table outside. The food was extraordinary as always and left a favorable impression on our guests!

Yes, you can generally book this restaurant by choosing the date, time and party size on OpenTable. Due to local restrictions, this restaurant may not be accepting reservations at the moment.
