3 Sheets at the Harbor
Sat, Sun 9:00 am–11:00 pm
I’ve been here three times and it never disappoints. A hidden gem and worth it! I tell my friends and family as well as taking them there to share the experience. I love 3Sheets!!!
I've eaten here for brunch and dinner now. Brunch was phenomenal, and the crab cake omelette was amazing. My friend had the hash and also said it was really very good. Coffee was very tasty and kept coming. Dinner was also nice. The drinks were tasty and there were lots of options. We had three appetizers and all were good, with the Brussels sprouts and pork belly and buffalo wings being our favorites. The entrees were ok, but nothing that blew us away. The fish tacos were a bit bland, but the pineapple salsa was good. The service was great and attentive.
First time. First of all, at night, good luck finding it. I actually now wish we hadn’t!
A friend had the steak and said it was good.’ I ordered chowder and salad and had to send the chowder back. It was the worst I have ever tasted, and I’ve eaten a lot of chowder. My other friend had a burger, which was ok. However, the fries came out when she was over half done eating. They were dry and looked like cardboard. I had a glass of wine that was about three swallows., then the chowder wasn’t taken off our bill and that was an ordeal. Service was ok, other than that.
With all the incredible restaurants in Portland, there is absolutely no reason to ever eat here!!
We love the ambiance, service and high quality of the meals. Seems like they always have something creative, such as, their fried mac & cheese bites to tempt the appetite.
We love eating here! This is a find on the island and the menu never disappoints. We are firm fans!
The food was excellent! And the services was good. We will definitely be back. We also thought that’s the menu was great. Becky Kruse
This visit was much better than our last. Lisa, our server, was outstanding. The food was cooked to perfection and the pricing for what we had was industry average. There is a new gm and I think she has really improved the restaurant as a whole.
This was my first visit and I have to say I was disappointed. I’ve heard great things about 3 Sheets and was really looking forward to it. I met a girlfriend for lunch recently; the only bright spot was the seafood chowder which was really good. Both of our salads were meh - too many greens with too few add-ins to provide much flavor. My friend ordeeed the daily special mushroom soup, which was not even warm when it arrived. She asked our server to have it warmed, which he did graciously. However, it still wasn’t warm and he never checked on us again to see if the soup was okay. And throughout our lunch there were only a handful of tables so not sure why the service was not more attentive. All in all, not sure I’ll go back.
Disappointing. Oysters were not cleaned properly and actually had shell shards in the oyster along with grit. The “fresh” halibut had been frozen, and was rubbery and chewy. I have never seen anyone that could destroy pork belly, but they achieved this feat. They really need to just adjust there menu to be a low style bar menu and quit trying to over achieve. They would be better as a beer and burger joint. Give up the pretense.
This is a great spot during the summer months, so you can sit outside on the large patio overlooking the marina. The food is good; yesterday when I dined there, the service could have been a little better, but it was OK. I will come back for sure.
Three friends celebrating a birthday lunch - sat outside in the sun.
lovely. We all had tacos - either fish (halibut) or pork (carnitas)
The food was excellent! Service was slow but the servers were very friendly. Bees were a bit of a distraction, the view was phenomenal! I will definitely come back!
Chowder, a signature dish was lukewarm at best, when I told the waitress, she just said I'll advise the kitchen. Halibut portions were small, but well prepared, lots of cream corn. No bread served or offered with the entre, a nice place but not worth the price.
My first visit was great. The weather did not permit outdoor seating, the main dining room was very crowded and noisy, tables extremely close, so we opt to sit against the wall in the bar. The service was great, the drinks were great. Perhaps when the lights are turned down a small table candle would add to the ambience. All in all we enjoyed our time there.
Great bartender, great happy hour, and great steaks!!
We were very disappointed in the food overall. Between the 4 of us, we ordered a chicken salad sandwich, a Cubano and fish and chips. The fish was fine. The other two dishes ranked from meh to terrible. Worst Cubano I have ever had. It would be an okay sandwich if it wasn’t called a Cubano. The fries we were served were luke warm and it took 15 minutes to get them replaced. And they were not that busy.
The desert they comped is was good - bananas foster. If we had just gone there for drinks and desert we would have been happier. This place is way too expensive for the quality of food and level of service we received.
Do yourself a favor and cross the bridge to Vancouver for better a better dining experience just about any place else.
Service was slow. Fish & Chips was close to burnt. Chicken wings was raw
THREE OF US ORDERED THE RIB EYE, WHICH WE THOUGHT WAS QUITE GOOD WITH DECENT-SIZED PORTIONS. THE ONE WHO ORDERED THE SALMON WAS DISAPPOINTED. THE DISH BARELY COVERED A QUARTER OF HER PLATE - THE PIECE OF SALMON WAS ABOUT 1" THICK X 1.5" X 3" - IT LOOKED LIKE AN APPETIZER.
Northwest mushroom appetizer so delicious. Halibut tacos? Yes please.
We each chose the crab cake omlete, very unique. It was a Saturday, so only brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays. Each of us enjoyed our omlets accompanied by roasted root veggies. I would definitely order this again. We chose to dine inside since it was a little cool outside. We do love the ambiance outside when weather permits. Our server was very attentive and friendly.
The river side seating was the best feature. Food was OK.
We had reservations and were seated quickly. We had to wait a lifetime to order drinks. None of the menu specials were offered or explained...we had to ask about everything. They did not come and check on us after we got our food. My crab cakes were burned on one side. The ambience outside was nice.
The food and the view are excellent. The happy hour menu is comprehensive and offers a wide ary of food at a great price. The main menu was also quite good with a variety of foods that are all prepared excellently. The service on busy nights leaves much to be desired.
Just loved 3 Sheets today. Benedict’s were so delicious, had a wonderful brunch!!
We eat here regularly, it's close to our home and has a consistently good menu. Service is a bit slow.
I've been here a few times. I like the outdoor seating. The food is good but a little pricey. The service is very good. If you want a marina view in North Portland, this is the place to go.
Seating outside: chairs are not comfortable. Good food, good service (very attentive and personality, but not overly intrusive ). Everyone enjoyed their chosen meal. Of course the view is excellent especially at sunset. It was very smokey outside from the fires, but did not make it unpleasant.
Great spot for a date night. Quiet spot right near the river - great for sitting outside in the summer time. Good menu and really friendly staff. I don't remember our server's name but she was awesome, always smiling, super helpful. I definitely hope people find out about it and make the venture out to the Hayden Island/Jantzen Beach area!
The server was friendly, but did not come around very often to check on us. We had to ask other wait staff for things we needed (like, salt, taking our payment, etc.). The food was mediocre, and, therefore, way over-priced.
A perfect location for a summer dining experience.
I love this place it’s clean, beautiful, and right by the water.
Birthday celebration, went for Happy Hour. Drinks were superb as was the halibut fish and chips, fish tacos and Cuban sandwich. Ordered bananas foster for dessert; it did not disappoint! Our waitress was very attentive even refilling our water glasses and checking back often.
They had some of the best Fish & Chips I’ve ever had. The pieces of the Halibut were huge! Did not care much for their homemade Tarter Sauce.
We have been there several time and found this place outstanding. This time however is was lacking the friendliness of staff and the service was slow. The fish and chips which are one of our favorites was way over cooked.
We were never asked if we would like to have another drink.
We have recommended this place to friends and family. This time is just was not a good experience.
Hot August brunch. We ate on the patio and enjoyed the view and DJ’s selection of 1980s tunes. But shade was at a premium. We’d recommend some sheer sales to be hoisted to help block the sun. Otherwise, great!
Great find !
One of the most relaxing meals
We visited 3 Sheets for our anniversary tonight. We were able to sit on the beautiful patio and enjoy the sunset while having amazing cocktails and food. Our servers were perfect and the ambiance was just as great as the view! We highly recommend this restaurant and will return very soon!
Great ambiance sitting out on the patio and our waitress was fantastic. I told her I was catching up with a childhood friend who was visiting from Mississippi and she told us we could stay as long as we wanted which I thought was very sweet. I checked all the reviews before making a reservation here and the main negative comment is one that I have to agree with: the food is over priced for the portions that you get. I ordered the crab cakes and while they were delicious, I considered it more of a heavy appetizer, not a main dish. Other reviews say to go during happy hour when the food is more reasonably priced so that is what I will do next time.
The food, drinks and ambiance are great. The service is good once you get a table.
We’ve been here three times and despite having made reservations each time the hostess goes out of the way to make you feel like you’re inconveniencing her to find you a table. We actually had to wait over 10 minutes despite there being at least half a dozen empty tables.
First we loved our server! Kind of seafood/NW/ upperscale bar fare. View was amazing and a perfect place for a dinner in a sunny 90 degree day. Cocktails were unique and varied. Chefs plate was superb. The beet salad -amazing. The fish taco was marginal at best. I might order the fish and chips instead next time. Unique location.
