   Food interesting and splendid as I remembered from last time. Pretty small portions even for a tasting menu, long time between courses, presumably due to being so busy.

   Limited menu but good options and excellent food. Very good limited wine list with reasonable prices. Outstanding service

   An absolute gem! 1771 is bound to be awarded a Michelin star soon as the food is an original, refined joyous layered treat, with contrasting sensory textural coloured layers. All offset by a quiet, elegant setting with discret, attentive staff. I cannot recommend 1771 highly enough.

   We were looking forward to trying this restaurant based on some previous reviews, unfortunately we found it very disappointing. We chose from the a la carte menu. The food was well cooked/prepared but far from what would normally be expected given the price point. For instance, the tomato and asparagus starter was tasty but consisted of a large dish of quartered tomatoes and some asparagus - tasty but very basic and certainly not worth the price charged. Main courses were again tasty but nothing like the standard of cuisine shown in pictures provided by previous reviewers. Maybe the tasting menu would have been a better bet. Service was also lacking. Our order was taken relying on the memory of the server - not sure if a customer is supposed to be impressed by a server with a good memory! Personally, I am not, especially so if the memory is not so good and they get the order for one of the side dishes wrong requiring it to be re-ordered ….. unfortunately, the correct side didn’t make it to the table before we’d finished the main course. This item was removed from the bill. Sadly, we left very disappointed and feeling that we’d paid a lot for a very average meal. By means of a comparison, we visited Lorne restaurant in Pimlico the night before which was outstanding - excellent standard of food, presentation and cooking with service to match. 1771 has a long way to go!

   After reading Koffman I had high expectations. The food was beautifully presented in the plate, clearly a lot of thought, work and care had gone into its preparation. But I was not overwhelmed by the taste. The halibut was very, very good. But the amuse-bouche and starter, while looking stunning, we're unexciting, with a similar background taste. And rather bland when I had expected stronger flavours. The setting was nice, the service friendly. But on the whole I was slightly disappointed.

   Delicious and interesting food, friendly service. We had the short tasting menu which was excellent value for money. We asked to move tables as we were sitting in a rather cold spot and this was handled in a very helpful and kind manner. We will definitely return!

   A hidden gem! We came for Mother’s Day lunch and this spot ticked every box, beautiful ingredients and a well thought out menu. Service was great and a very comfortable ambience also. Only a shame not more people yet know if it! I can’t wait to come back to see what the menu has to offer, I will definitely be recommending this spot to friends.

    The room is very bright with good art. The menu is a bit short. It described a dish as leg of lamb when it was loin. Wine list great if you liked Bordeaux but short if not. Puddings poor selection. Really good martini
