Went there last Friday night March 13 I think and was one of four parties in the restaurant. Carona virus
Had a grilled shrimp appetizer which was good but the shrimp was slightly overcooked, I ordered veal chop it was excellent or a bit of wild mushroom risotto with green beans Yum
The outdoor dining overlooking the marina was really special, will be back again.
Ps The server from Croatia it was nice but not well trained, he needs to put his listening ears on.
1500 South is a hidden gem! Good food, a beautiful view, and live music. I’m not sure why this place isn’t busier, but getting a table is never a problem.

A great value and comfortable niche on the Bay.
I was surprised to see how empty the place was at 7 pm on a Tuesday during the season. I'd gotten a text/email stating that if we over 5 minutes late we could lose our table too. I think they are glad we showed up period. There were plenty of open tables when we arrived at 7 pm.
I got the snapper in a red curry and it was very good. My daughter got the filet and it too was good. My wife chose the strip steak and I have to say that was one skinny looking NY strip. Our waiter wasn't the most responsive as he seemed more involved with getting tables ready for tomorrow's breakfast brunch or something. Desserts were good the 1 scoop of gelato was enough to feed a baby maybe. Anyways, it sure seems like this place may be on the outs or I just have seemed to pick the slow time?
Lovely restaurant. Food was excellent, atmosphere was spectacular and all employees (not just our server) were extremely accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend this great spot on the marina at Naples Bay Resort.
We have been going there for a number of years and chose to go with our friends at a certain time to make the happy hour time. We were disappointed that the happy hour is not as broad as it used to be in terms of what alcohol is covered and there is not happy hour bar specials for food/appetizers. We started at the bar and moved quickly to the table as there were no appealing happy hour specials. As much as we love it there, there are other nice restaurants that have amazing deals on the food and alcohol for happy hour.
We were a party of 4 and had great meals while sitting in a beautiful restaurant. Highly recommend

Pricey and uncreative
Coffee tasted like mud. When I complained, I asked for real coffee .The server snapped: "This is real coffee". Wrong response ! The place was empty...now I know why
It is a long walk from parking to restaurant.
This was our favorite restaurant until our last visit. Unfortunately, several other friends have had the same experience in the recent month. Food used to be fabulous, service great, music great, ambiance wonderful, etc. The food and service was terrible our last visit. I truly hope the restaurant will turn this around, because we want this to be our favorite restaurant again!

Canned Music too loud land live singer not good at all. Food not very good for the price making value poor. Soo many restaurants in Naples leave this one off the list. Three out of four of us were disappointed because we had a good experience last year.
Rather sterile decor and quite noisy until the bar crowd thinned out. Excellent food and service. Felt sorry for the parking valet—it was unusually cold and windy—so kudos for him for good service.
Food was abysmal . Snapper was inedible. Salmon was cold. Pasta was room temperature. They did credit us for 3 dishes out of 6.
Beautiful setting, gracious staff and wonderful food. We have been back several times. And plan on a few more visits before we head back up north.

Beautiful location as right outside on the Marina with a few boats passing by....
I wanted so much to like this place because the setting is adorable. But the food was bad and made one of us sick. We also had to send back one entree and one drink (and there were only two of us) because they were wrong. The servers seemed annoyed that we pointed out their mistakes and we had to seek out the manager to ask for things to be fixed. Definitely skip this place.

The worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. All the food was horrible. Two people ordered steak medium rare and they both came out over cooked. Waited another 20 minutes for new steaks and they were absolutely horrible. They offered us free dessert and even the dessert was terrible. It tasted stale and almost not edible.
Truly enjoyed the experience - it was far more professional than almost all of Naples’ finer dining establishments.

Lamb chops were small and fatty. My wife had scallops that were good but only 3 in an entree
The food presentation was beautiful but taste left much to be desired. Started with the calamari which was good and spicy. My husband ordered the filet medium rare and it came medium well. I ordered the snapper and although it was a large piece of fish, it was way overcooked. It appears the resort runs the restaurant and we felt it would be adequate for room service but not fine dining.
I have eaten here once before and the food was very good as was the service. This visit was a complete disaster. The waitress was knew and not at all familiar with the menu. Knew nothing about the ingredients and if things were prepared gluten free as I am celiac. Have answers on top of her head without checking with the kitchen. I asked for dressing g in the side and salad came dressed with a dressing bit to my liking. I didn’t make them take it bake but no apology or consideration given to the bill. I waited forever to get her back to the table after our entree was served and had to go inside to ask for some melted butter for a lobster entree. Then she brought garlic butter. Had to wait again till she came back so I could just get plain butter. By then entree completely cold. No manager came over even once to see how we were doing or apologize for such poor service. We did t wait to have dessert. Just wanted out of there. Bill was pricey. Will not be going back especially for a nice Valentines romantic dinner!
Awful. It’s as if they were not planning on guests. They were nice but slow and unprepared. No ambiance as no one was there. Mediocre offerings and quality. Would never go back.
Yes I know it was Valentines Day and the service and food might be slightly below par, but this was far worse. The tuna appetizer had frozen melon balls accompanying 4 small pieces of tasteless seared tuna. (The flat bead was nice however). The main course which arrived an hour after we ordered clearly sat under a heat lamp. My little neck clam pasta dish was dried out without much flavor. My wife's salmon was so overcooked that it too lost any desire to eat it. No follow up by the waiter (outside of the apology for our meal being so late in arrival) and no suggestion that this was anything but their normal level of service and food quality. Our check was presented after we said we were not interested in dessert and never saw the waiter again. After 15 minutes of trying to pay with a credit card and no one even hinting at returning to the “seen of the crime”, I took out cash and left. Knowing the waiter was most likely not a fault I left a 20% tip but will never return. I live in Naples and have to say this was the worse meal I’ve ever eaten.
The food was good except you could tell it had been sitting under the heat for a while as one fish dish was extremely dry and mash potatoes on another had a crispy top to them, not sure why because it seemed there were plenty of runners that could have brought the food out earlier. The service was not quite so good, the waiter was doing his best but I think he had too many tables and was overworked and they had a major issue with getting the bill to us, an issue with the computer system I think.
This was on Valentines night however the restaurant was not overly busy, I just think the waiter was being overworked. I would give this place one more try to see if the service was better because the food and ambiance were good.
Probably the worst experience we have ever had. Booked here for Valentine’s Day, walked in to an extremely hot, bright and awkwardly quiet restaurant. They had a singer, who was on break, for the first 10 minutes we were there. Then when he started singing, it was so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation.
Our table wasn’t ready when we got there, which was also odd because half the restaurant was empty. We decided to have a drink at the bar and wait, no biggie. The bartender took 10 minutes to even greet us and another 5 to make our drinks and then they were wrong. When we finally got sat, we were there for approximately 10-15 minutes without even being greeted. Then I think a manager came over and took our drink order and asked if we were ready to order. No review of specials, the menu, zero hospitality, etc. I asked for more time while she got the drinks, she brought the drinks back and they were wrong again. We ended up just leaving and no one said anything after we had asked for the bill to pay for the two drinks we didn’t end up drinking.
Food was terrible! We ordered veal and lamb, both for medium. Both came with very rare red meat and tasteless!
We are on vacation and was celebrating Valentines Day.

Had the early bird dinner. Food was excellent. Appetizer and entree for $19.99 was a great value. Had Caesar salad and salmon; husband had Caesar salad and pappardelle noodles with meaty ragu sauce. Very clean and quiet overlooking boats and water.
I will never go to 1500 South again. They were understaffed, overwhelmed and my NY strip steak for $38 was overcooked and 1/4 inch thick. The worst restaurant experience that I have had in several years. It will be gone within a year. Our server was doing her best, management is to fault for this.
Good food ... good ambiance.
Wait staff were great, food and wine great, my only negative was the band they hired to play music. They were not the right type of music for that restaurant- seemed so weird at times, and they were not good singers....totally off key.

A fantastic menu and food was amazing.
We were kept waiting at the table for our drinks order to begin with and although we asked for wine to come with the appetisers it didn’t and then was told that one of the wines weren’t available.
Disappointing service but really good food.
We were celebrating a birthday. Restaurant is lively, although a. Bit of a walk from valet and garage. Food was excellent. Especially enjoyed the pappardelle with short rib sauce. Mini biscuits and deviled egg appetizers were amazing. We ordered from the early dining menu, which was a litlle bit limited with three appetizers and three entrees. Still good value. Regular menu was a bit pricey.
The one detail that distracted from the ambiance was the live singer. He was trying to do Bob Dylan and it was beyond irritating. Nice background music would have been more conducive to conversation.
Overall, we enjoyed ourselves.
