Great starters! Brussel sprouts were great! Parmesan crusted fish was really good
Ate there our last night in Maui....delicious food and wonderful service.
Love the food & service...Amy P was attentive, personable and recommended wonderful wine/food pairings.
We were disappointed that even though we requested a front table we were sat a bit back. It’s got beautiful ambiance and sitting along the front gives extraordinary views.
The chef split our entree (at a fee)...
All in all a wonderful dining experience
Delicious views and dinner!
Not many veggie options for pasta. Beet salad is small and overpriced. Kids portions large and entree too. Check for clean cutlery.
It was too windy and chilly for me that evening so I should have asked to sit further inside the restaurant. We were 3rd row from the outside.
A child (less than 1) whined and cried most of our meal. Very unpleasant as I felt bad for the child who was probably as cold as I was without proper clothing and her mother did little to help her or comfort her,
The child was probably exhausted from her time change. I don’t know what the restaurant staff can do about this but maybe something?
We didn’t know bread was available for purchase until we saw others had it. That should be mentioned to people when ordering.
The food was excellent so I’d go back and I’m sure on a different day the experience would be great!
This was an overpriced place with “ok” food.. we began with a salad with tomatoes/mozzarella cheese, main course was a piece of fried chicken with pasta in sauce that they tainted as chicken piccata.. ending with a piece of chocolate cake with scoop of cherry ice cream on top.. no liquor.. all for $50? No way.. Very overpriced! We sat on a semi-patio location and wind was blowing fiercely.. crazy
Food was awful, bad service. Messed up the order, forgot bread service that cost $$. Only served about 5 bites of food. Online menu is not available. Current menu is extremely limited and we looked hard to find what we wouldeat....not fish... Definitely not worth the money. Olive Garden has better, more, and cheaper food.
When in Maui, you must go here for an outstanding dinner. The food was great. The service was great and the view was great.
One of the best meals we had on our three week vacation that covered three islands! The ambiance is great especially sitting on the end over looking the koi pond. The service is excellent and you dishes are large. Both daily fish dishes are excellent. Highly recommend.
Definitely a favorite!
Service was spotty at best. Was told it’s Saturday night and Thayer are busy. I’ve seen busy and they did have open tables. Half of my plate was very salty. It like the chef hit the left side of my plate as he seasoned it. Right side was very good. When the waitress final graced us with her presence she replied want it wrapped. Asked fo the manager and got the hostess. As I’ve waited 20 minutes for coffee and my dessert was told it’s Saturday night,we’re busy. Should have gotten her name. I’ve eaten here a few times since they opened and tonight was off the mark. The waitress,Raluca, had only been there a week and in my opinion wasn’t ready to serve alone yet. She seemed frustrated and confused. I’ve eaten out plenty of times as it was not the service I’ve come to expect. Also the dessert we liked was off the menu. Not sure of spelling but we loved the budeknee. It will be awhile for us to return. When I asked to cancel our dessert and and after dinner drinks is when I was told it’s Saturday we’re busy. Maybe more understaffed or incompetent.
Had a great experience from the very beginning to the end. Seated right away at very nice table. Waitress, Amy, was excellent! Food was great. Just an enjoyable evening, looking forward to another dinner!!
Great food. Great service.
The quality of food has gone way down since our last visit a few years ago. The chicken piccata (ordered by 3 of my guests) was fried chicken with tomato sauce. Huh? My guests re-ordered, 1 spaghetti and meatballs (2 out of 5 stars), 1 risotto crusted fish (4 out of 5 stars) and 1 fettuccine with veggies and chicken (3 out of 5 stars). Overall, we were disappointed as this used to be one of our favorite restaurants on the west side.
Kristen and Jimmy took amazing care of our group. Lauren was very insightful and knowledgeable about the wines we enjoyed. After dinner at the bar, Chris recommended great after-dinner drinks. The whole staff worked together as a well-oiled machine. Easily the best dining I've experienced in Maui. Many thanks to the entire staff.
This is a very nice restaurant. The food is good. My fish with risotto was excellent. My husband’s spaghetti with meatballs was fine. The prices are very high.
Everything was fantastic. Waiter was great. Really nice wine list. Food was delicious.
Food, service and atmosphere were all great!
Food was very bland. Nothing special. If you are looking for a real Italian restaurant, do not waste your money. Dresser on the other hand was good.
Nice Evening! Food and service was terrific. Thank you!
Even though Lasagna is no longer on the menu the chef made it for us anyway. My favorite dish...Loved it
Love ground pepper on my salad. When it was delivered, the person dropped it in front of me and left. No words spoken and no chance for me to ask. 5-6 minutes later our server came by and noticed I had not started on my salad. She asked if I needed something and I asked for the ground pepper, which she had a small grinder in her pocket and immediately served me some. Rest of service was about the same. Even at the end, we had to ask for coffee with the desserts. They seemed more interested in turning tables than in giving customers an enjoyable dinner experience. We both liked our fish entrees. Wife loved her dessert. My selection turned out to be pretty bland.
Beautiful setting attentive service great food and wine. If I am there again I will go back. Found the info for this restaurant in the hotel magazine. I rarely go to a place in a magazine, in this case I was very glad I did.
The alfredo pasta with veggies and grilled shrimp was excellent and fulfilled my desire for some real good pasta. We had a great table in front of the Koi pond and the resort look beautiful lit up with tiki torches.
They offered Chicken Piccata as a special but what we were served was half a fried chicken bones-in covered in spaghetti sauce? The bread which was an added cost was coated in salt.
Great food and services
Food was fine, but nothing special. The focaccia was good, but you had to pay extra for it. No bread was otherwise provided. Prices were high.
If you were seated to look out over the pond/gardens, that was a nice view. Other than that, it felt like you were seated in the lower level of any hotel anywhere.
If this was fine, indoor dining, table clothes would have been nice. Maybe more intimate lighting if you’re trying for an upscale experience.
Hostess and servers were friendly.
This place was spot on from the moment we checked in, Claudia was so welcoming, personable and attentive. Our server Joryann was terrific, gave us perfect attention and also very personable . The food was delicious . We will be back for sure when in Maui
Not good enough for the huge price increases. Very pretty spot but waiter was unpleasant, service hurried and food very mediocre. Dined there twice with similar experiences. Would not recommend
The steak was the best steak I ever had, however the service was bad. It was not too busy for a Valentine's night. Our server was not very friendly. We asked if they had rice and she laughed. She did not even bother to say what other options there were instead of rice. She was very short with us. We did enjoy the food and would go back for the food, but ask for a different server.
Dined her last year it was great. This year service wasn’t very good not nearly as good as last year
This was the second time we went to Pulehu Grill, and we enjoyed it as much as the first. The Caprese Salad was excellent, as was the Fettuccine Alfredo and Lasagna. The coffee and chocolate almond cake were a great finale to a wonderful meal. Our waiter was attentive and we also enjoyed the ambiance. Well done!
As a party of two we were seated right in the middle of the traffic area, while there tables in more secluded areas, some which had signs on them with the Westin logo that said "Table Currently Unavailable" went unused. These signs were removed relatively soon after our arrival. Overall food was excellent, however portions very small for the cost. Service was exceedingly poor. I ordered a glass of wine, which finally came after I was told the first wine was not available. Was never offered another glass during my entire time there. Was visited by server exactly three times over a period of an hour, and it was clear Tuesday night was not a busy night for this place. Parking and finding the restaurant is challenging if you are not a Westin Vacation Property owner, but Google Maps will get you there.
The food was spectacular. The service was top notch. The only downside was the place was extremely noisy and a little bit crowded. The weather was cool and rainy so the windows were closed causing the patio area to also be closed.
Simply a great meal with great service. Had the fish special and wine. My wife is GF and said the GF pasta with chicken was excellent.
Loved the multitude of gluten free options. And they were delicious.
Service was sub par. Food was good
The only downfall was that with the rain coming down, there was a lot of gusty winds. The door on the far side of the restaurant was open, creating a lot of gusts right through the restaurant making a lot of guests chilled and complain, not necessarily to the staff but amongst themselves. When we asked if they would be able to shut the door, they said they asked management and were unable to. Thankfully after another ask we were moved to a different area but if we were forced to sit there throughout the entirety of dinner it would have been a lot lower review. Great food, service was average. the kitchen staff was working very hard - the windows into the kitchen allow the guest to see that.
