   Ordered a good amount of apps and entrees and everything was delicious. Very good speed of service and the cocktails/wines by the glass were amazing as well. Will definitely be back on our next visit to the island

   The new addition...pork chops are outstanding. If you go and eat pork, then I recommend you try them. Plus, the Brussels Sprout are the best I‘ve had anywhere, and I’ve tried them all over the mainland.

   Are Father’s Day tradition!! Seriously the best Italian food in the state!! Chef Jim and Christine are so warm and welcoming and their staff is trained exactly that way.    Loved being back at our favorite Waikoloa restaurant. The socially distant tables created a more private and quiet setting. So glad to be able to dine there again! Delicious food as always!!

    The staff have done a great job at setting up the restaurant for social distancing and the food was as great as ever. Excellent wine list. We love Stags Leap and they had their chardonnay.

    Our waitress , Courtney greeted us at the door and took us to our table. She talked about the specials they had, which sounded delicious. My cannelloni and my husbands veal scaloppini were very good, with enough to give us another meal at home. Don’t miss this place! It is great!

    Great happy hour small dishes but have to get there as they open. The bar fills up quickly. Shrimp Appetizers and Caesar salad very good. Nice main dish selection. They do not rush you which we really appreciate. It is a large open space so can get very loud as it fills up. For a quieter dinner sit at the outdoor patio.

    Consistently good service and delicious food. I’ve eaten at Pueo many times and have never been unhappy. I would recommend Pueo to anyone who enjoys good Italian food with local ingredients.

    We came to this restaurant for a family dinner out while on vacation. Two kids under 4 years old...Very comfortable ambiance for a family. Wonderful service that made us feel welcome. Food was excellent quality...Brussel sprouts and Pasta dishes were 10/10. Wine selection was surprisingly high level...we are from wine country so we have high expectations when it comes to wine quality and selection

    Food was pretty good but waiter was spread to thin. Loud drunk group next to us and large group with individual checks made the waiters job harder. The waiter should have asked the others in th restaurant to help. Not going back.

    Wonderful hidden jewel. Not a bad drive from Kohala coast. Food is superb at a fair price. Pastas are excellent along with tasty appetizers. Salads a bit overpriced for what you get. Nice wine list and reasonable corkage if you choose to bring your own. Highly recommended if you enjoy Italian.

    One of our guests order the seafood combo. The dish was not very good. Far too fishy. All pieces of seafood were all in the same fishy sauce so tasted all the same. My guest has upset stomach afterward. Would not order again. The rest of our dishes were excellent.

    Jake served us, and he was great. His recommendations helped us decide what to order. Courtney, our favorite waitress, came over to check on us, and we always have a good time at this local restaurant. You feel welcome and appreciated when you go there. Mahalo

    Our server Courtney was awesome! Had short wait for our table - we had reservations. I got a delicious Caesar salad and my husband had fried calamari as his starter. Had a yummy margarita pizza - they used black lava salt on it - so good! Husband got his veggie pizza made into a calzone. Great dinner and great service- wish we were there longer to go back.

    This was our first visit but not the last. I'd read the reviews prior to heading over and it was remarkable to note the wide range of experiences. Our experience was great. We only waited a few minutes to be seated and then just a few more for our server to come over. After that, the timing was perfect. We split the meatball appetizer, a Caesar salad and then puttanesca with shrimp. They split the pasta for us and the portions were very generous. All the food was excellent and it was easy to then split a dessert. A very positive experience and it was packed on a Sunday night; get reservations.

    We had hits and misses, and overall we were disappointed since we’ve had many exceptional meals in the past. We were seated on arrival since we had a reservation and our food arrived in a timely manner. The appetizers were all very good (calamari, olives and hurrays salad) the bread service is very pricey for what you get though. I wouldn’t order that again. For the main, only the pasta bolognese was a hit. The Rita pizza was very very salty, not sure if it was the cheese used or if they sprinkled salt on top which sounds weird, but everyone thought it too salty. My husbands Ahi was overcooked, he didn’t enjoy his meal at all. My short rib wasn’t good at all. It was sliced thinly like brisket. It was tough and not moist and tender like it should be. Short rib should break apart with a fork, this was dry and flavorless. Probably the worst short-rib I’ve ever eaten. The polenta and beans it came with were however very good but at $38 I would have expected much better.

    We were seated right away when we arrived for our reservation and we had a nice table arranged for us. It was a lively evening with a pretty full house. We were greeted with water by our server within moments and that was all great. We ordered the brussel sprout & bruschetta appetizers which were both delicious and overall the best items we ate all night. Our pasta dishes were all just kind of bland, they lacked just some basic salt and pizazz to brighten them up. We noticed other tables all received a cutting board with what looked like fresh focaccia bread & butter but we were never offered that. Not sure if it's because we ordered the bruschetta appetizer or maybe you have to order the focaccia ala carte. It wasn't made very clear to us. Our server was pleasant and the food took a bit longer than it probably should have but it was busy (we actually were almost given the wrong food at one time but we told the food runner he had the wrong table). We'd recommend it given this is the only real restaurant in Waikoloa Village and if you like it a bit under-seasoned and pricey.
