   Excellent buffet, with great choices, unless you are gluten-free. My guest in that category could eat the salads, but the creamy sauces on almost everything had flour in them. An accommodating chef prepared her a piece of gluten-free salmon, so all was well.

   We made a reservation at Preston’s to celebrate our son’s graduation. When we arrived, we were informed that there was a buffet rather than traditional menu service. First, a buffet is not exactly appropriate for celebratory dinners. But, worse, there wasn’t a single item from the menu in the buffet. The selection of items was mundane and similar to what you would expect at a run of the mill corporate event. In all honesty, we could have had a better selection and meal at one of the university dining halls. What a waste of money and very, very disappointing for such a special occasion. Preston’s, you should have informed us well in advance that you wouldn’t have menu service during graduation week. Shameful!!!!

   We showed up for our reservations and the restaurant was closing in 30 min. We had no idea they were closing. It was a buffet and everything was cold, empty or at the end of the pans, they wouldn’t refill either. They should not have seated us and open table shouldn’t have allowed the time slot either. The restaurant was basically empty and the staff were just waiting for us to leave and we were told many times we are closing soon. We went to celebrate a graduation and we’re very disappointed overall. Had heard great reviews about this place.

   I was disappointed in the food. The caesar salad was just 2 romaine lettace stalks with chicken, hard bread crumbs, and some cheese. I had to cut off the stalk base and stalk tips (as they were brown). It was the worst caesar salad I've ever had. I had to discard 20% of the salad, as it was stalk base and brown leaves. I had recent shoulder surgery so an arm in a sling and ordered a salad, so I would not have to cut the food, unfortunately with the caesar salad I had to cut the romaine stalk into pieces. I love bread pudding, but unfortunately the Preston break pudding was below average in taste and was stale. The service was excellent and the ambience was quite nice, as it was quiet enough for my party to have conversations.

   Preston's Breakfast Buffet is excellent. The variety of food and drink items was terrific and the quality top notch. The service was prompt and friendly. My issue has to do with Open Table. The system allowed me to book a 10:30 reservation, without mention that the Breakfast Buffet closes at 10:45 AM, in order for the staff to set up for the Sunday Brunch. In my opinion, it's a system flaw to allow reservations that late, which would have allowed only 15 minutes to enjoy the Break Buffet. I was fortunate to have checked with the hostess after church that morning who advised of this problem and suggested that we come in earlier. Kudos to the hostess for her suggestion to come in earlier than our 10:30 AM reservation, so we had over one hour to partake in the wonderful Preston's Breakfast Buffet.

    The location of this restaurant is beautiful! But the food was ok. My daughter's glazed pork chop was too salty, it's inedible. Medium rare steaks were overcooked and desserts didn't even salvage the meal. Our reservation was for an early dinner and they weren't busy at all but it took more than 20 minutes to get our drinks. Service was poor and slow. It's a shame really. I hope they'll make changes.

    Food was excellent! Music was just a bit too “old” for us. And we’re old. Maybe something a little more upbeat and less elevator/funeral home-like. Even some Dave Brubeck or low key jazz would have been better. Service was excellent.

    What a fantastic experience. The Holiday vibe was strong in the 4th advent Sunday and they made my Mom's after party celebrating her 90th birthday so much fun. And if you needed something special, the chefs would craft it better than you imagined it. Service was off the chart great and accommodating. Highly recommend!

    We enjoy dining at Preston's because it's a pleasant experience. The food quality is inconsistent and disappointing. We had difficulty getting the correct wine. Our server had little experience with wine selection and service. The wine we selected, however, was excellent--Montinore Estate Pinot Noir. Our appetizer choice was onion rings which were ordinary. Entree choices included salmon, ribeye, and chicken. The ribeye was most disappointing because it was not prepared as ordered and was a very thin steak. The salmon and chicken were okay. The highlight was Preston's signature bread pudding. A wonderful desert.

    Not sure if we just caught Preston’s short staffed in the kitchen but our food took over an hour for all our meals to arrive. When the food did arrive 4 of our 6 meals were incorrectly served missing important ingredients. On the positive side, the food was good and our server was so accommodating and friendly as were the other server and manager. They tried to get us all the items we were missing and discounted our lunch. There were only two other tables in the restaurant at the time so I’m not sure why the kitchen was having such issues.

    Enjoyed the pre-show dinner package which included a limited menu of 3 entrees with salad and dessert. The entrees were cream heavy but tasty. The serving was ample. Service was slow with our drinks and salads arriving rather late and our entrees arriving before we finished our salads. Biggest disappointment was no bread pudding which is Preston's signature. Too bad it's not available. Pre-show package is a good value. Will try it again.

    Very uninspiring food here…son’s burger was average, fish and chips were decent, my blackened shrimp and pasta dish arrived looking like a big bowl of soup with pasta and shrimp floating around—very odd. It seemed like who ever cooked it did not know how to make it correctly. Our waiter was very nice, so didn’t have the heart to return my dish. They need to revamp this menu and the ambiance—both are bland.

    Preston’s has a very limited menu choice. We found it difficult to choose a meal that actually was appealing. The food was under seasoned, very bland. We also had the breakfast buffet on Sunday. A variety of food choices however limited breakfast choices. No toast, waffles, pancakes or pastries as one would expect. The warm breakfast items were all cold. Perhaps someone forgot to turn the warmers on. Aside from the disappointing food, the staff were friendly and efficient. Would we eat here again, no. Considering the access to locally grown, beautiful produce it’s even more disappointing.

    Visiting our grandson and had dinner one night and breakfast buffet. The dinner selections are very limited and the food is good, not great. There's a full bar and the wait staff is friendly and energetic. The breakfast buffet is very good with a nice selection of choices and stations. Breakfast is, frankly, a better bet than dinner but if you are staying in the hotel it's very convenient.

    The meal was simply uninspiring. The crab cakes were bland. The ribeye was ordered medium rare but was more towards medium well. Granted, it was a thin cut, but it should have been 4-5 mins a side. Lastly, the blackened shrimp were anything but blackened and slightly undercooked. The Desert was good!

    We had a reservation for 11:30, which I believe is when the restaurant opens for Sunday Brunch. We waited for a while after 11:30, when I had thought they would open, but we found a server who seated us. The actual buffet didn't open until 11:40 or 11:45. Nevertheless, the buffet was wonderful. They had a carving station (my favorite), and they had perfectly cooked, (and that is HARD) to do on a buffet - Eggs Benedict. I did notice that the large spoon was the wrong utensil for serving asparagus, but as soon as I brought it to someone's attention, they replaced it with tongs. Our server was very attentive and helpful, and we were altogether pleased.

    Many past experiences were much better. Service was very good and attentive. Menu has changed and is now just upscale bar food. The Ribeye steak was covered in gravey, but not discribed that way on the menu. A $45 bottle of wine was opened elsewhere and brought to the table and set there for self service, no taste testing. Three of the six diners were new to the restaurant and were disappointed as were the three of us who had been there many times before.

    The food was good, I thought my dinner was too expensive for 5 shrimp with penne pasta. $25!!! The fish and chips was very plentiful. They did make my son chicken tenders even though it was not on the menu. I had to ask the waitress to go ask the cook if he could make the tenders. The wine list was very sparse for saying they had a great wine list. The wine took 30 minutes to make it to the table, and my son whose birthday we were there to celebrate and his cousin ordered Irish Red drinks that have Jameson's whiskey, Grenadine and sprite in them and it took 40 minutes for the bar to make them. Other tables that arrived after us had drinks in no time at all. It was not busy either there were 3 other tables, so I am not sure what the hold up was. The manager comped our appetizer, I thought he said he would comp the $12 drinks, but he just comped the appetizer. Lilly was a good waitress she just seemed a little overwhelmed. I would not eat there again. It was just convenient because we were staying in the Inn.

    This was our first visit to Preston's. The restaurant was beautiful, the service was excellent starting at the check-in desk, and the buffet was fabulous. Everyone including the staff in the buffet area were very warm and friendly. Our server, Destiny, was wonderful. She was very attentive, engaging, and thorough. We're very glad we chose this place.     We had a 12:45 reservation and for the majority of our meal we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food was good but not warm. We were a little disappointed at the selection. Brunch was over at 1:30 and they were cleaning up as we tried to finish our dessert. We will try an earlier reservation next time.

    Service was very good. Prompt, all you expect. The food items were limited in comparison to what used to be offered. Several items in chaffing dishes were not kept hot. Eggs Benedict tasted good, but were not hot, When bacon ran to, just as I was about to get some, a cook replenished it. The problem being that it was just dumped into the tray leaving one to try to pull apart this mass of intertwined bacon. (It did taste good...) The hostess did try to make things right and had the kitchen bring up a fresh eggs B....but it still was tepid. Best item on the savory side was a vegan shepherds pie. It was hot and very tasty Deserts were good...We used to love going to a brunch here when there was great choice and food (including both an omelette station and a meat station) but it seems they have not recovered from COVID and the kitchen is letting them down.
