Sushi appetizer was fabulous.. my chicken dinner was not up to Portland city grills standard I was disappointed wife’s salmon dinner was great
The view is as amazing as you would hope, the food is impeccable and the drinks were just as great! Do your self a favor and make a reservation.
Having a few veggie options would be helpful. Thank you.
Amazing service. The best in Portland!
Excellent seafood and steaks on the menu, great views and atmosphere! Service is always excellent.
This has been our special occasion restaurant of choice for many years, and it never disappoints. Wonderful menu, superb service, and the best views in the city.
The most underwhelming dining experience in recent memory. Worst steak of my life. Loud and crowded. Put a Ruby Tuesday’s on top of a high rise and you got Portland city grill.
Amazing views of the city and sunset. We had steak & lobster that was incredible. Great service.
I’ve been to this restaurant over 20 times and this was by far the worst experience. One of the chefs had a heavy hand on the liquid smoke and ruined the salmon plate. I could literally taste liquid smoke for the entire following day.
Won’t be back.
So this happened ... I ordered a salad. The server took it to the table next to me. When he realized it was delivered to the wrong table he picked it up and set it down in front of me and said "I don't know why they took this to the wrong table."
Uhhhhh, OK. I wouldn't have accepted that before COVID. Now you want me to eat a salad that's been sitting in front of somebody for at least five minutes and who had the server put fresh cracked pepper on it already? Are you kidding me? And server kind of gave me side eye when I said "you don't really expect me to accept this, do you?"
Yeah. Not amusing.
Steak was really good, but probably won't be back. Like I'm going to leave a 20% tip of $40 to a dude who acted like I was in the wrong for not wanting to eat a salad delivered to a different table first.
Perfect for a romantic date. The employees were very personable and food was amazing.
The crab cakes had too much onion that wasn't even cooked. Steak was over cooked with little flavor. The lobster was very good. The drinks were sub par as was the waiter. The chef was loud and rude to the waiter. It's my opinion that for the money the food should be on point. The view is beautiful. I am glad to have experienced this restaurant, though I will probably never go back.
I was thrilled to get a window seat and a free dessert (we were celebrating our anniversary). While the wine mark up is crazy, you kind of expect heavy pricing at a place like this. Our waiter was amazing and the food was very good!
Had a fantastic time here. I was really impressed by how accommodating the servers and cooks were to my brothers Gluten allergy. They didn't have a separate gluten free menu, but instead were willing to work around any dish he wanted to make sure it was gluten free. We ended up having the Ciopollini (no bread) and the Seafood Buccatini, and the Gluten Free Chocolate Torte. All of the food was exceptionally tasty. I was hoping the signature Old Fashioned would be made with something a little more refined than Jim Beam, like many other bars and restaurants around the area, but perhaps that is just my own taste buds objecting to the deviation from the norm that I have come to enjoy. Our server, Mike, was extremely courteous and very professional. He was timely in his visits, and a very knowledgeable host. Overall the basic menu can be a little pricey because you are paying for good food, a great atmosphere, professional attention to detail, and of course, an amazing view of Portland. Not the type of place I can afford to visit regularly, but a place I recommend to all visitors of Portland and it makes a great date night if you don't get hung up on the price.
I was celebrating my anniversary, I made the reservation a month ago, and we still didn’t get seats next to the windows. There’s a 45 minute wait. Why not have a better system in place that accommodates those who are making reservations ahead of time?
Our server was amazing.
Food: no vegetarian options and minimal options in the greens.
The food was ok took forever and the server was kinda rude and was rudhing us and it was my wife and i 3 year wedding anniversary the view was amazing and the place was very clean.
The food was great. Service was spectacular! We will definitely be back!
We experienced a special evening with our wedding guests overlooking the city and enjoying beautifully prepared, presented and served food at Portland City Grill. It was one of the most memorable evenings in our life. Thank you for making our special dinner so remarkable.
We had a wonderful server and the ambiance was perfect - quiet, gorgeous view, helpful staff. Only complaint -- and that's a strong word -- is that the food came out very quickly, so we were under the impression we were being moved along. But then we were encouraged to sit and stay as long as we liked. So we wish the food had just been timed a little better, with some rest in between.
Really loved the waitstaff! Absolutely fantastic
Food and service was great. Value is not great, you are paying for the view.
My wife and i celebrated our 8th anniversary. Such a beautiful restaurant with great views of the city. And the food, wow! Absolutely delicious, one of the best lobsters i ever had. Luckily, they were running the surf and turf special that night! So good! Really good steaks too, i’ve had better, but really, really good steaks and great drinks.
Great atmosphere and beautiful views. 2 out of 3 items ordered were amazing, the other was good. Customers need to wear masks while walking around and that was not enforced. Staff had masks at all times.
Food and service were excellent
Our server was wonderful and made an excellent wine recommendation. The surf and turf was out of this world delicious.
It’s nice that they use table cloths but it looked like it was pulled out of a hamper and the way the crew set the table was like a free for all.
I mention this because with the wonderful food and service the table cloth and grabbing our own plates and flatware detracted from the overall ambiance.
Overall a wonderful dining experience!!!
PCG never disappoints. The food is delicious and the experience is amazing. We’ll be coming back again.
$50 filet over cooked 12oz $50 lobster tail add on undercooked
Server was friendly
The restaurant was great!
Food and service were just perfect for celebrating a special day.
Coming from out of town and wanted a unique experience that was specifically Portland, Portland City Grill didnt disappoint.
Great service. Beautiful view. Food was good. Adored our server, he was incredibly patient, pleasant, and kind. Provided the perfect amount of attention to our table; where as he isn’t interrupting us while our mouths are full, but appears to provide assistance the second we looked up and needed to order something etc. 10/10 guy!
Great place to celebrate a special occasion with your loved ones. Quiet and romantic.
Everything was amazing I can’t describe what I experienced you have to be there to see it all. Thank you for everything 🙏🏽
Our server was great. She has been with the company for a long time. She help make insightful suggestions.
Portion sizes too small for steak dinners. Other than that the service was great!!!
Food dish as always ...prices seemed higher but understandable.
1st time here and it was so much more than I expected. Definitely returning
Oysters are solidly amazing.
I’ve been coming here since it was Atwater’s. I truly love this restaurant and each visit is special.
