    We were seated by the kitchen, where it was so loud, I couldn’t hear my girlfriend sometimes over the banging dishes and loud chatter. The wine glass I received was dirty, the window sill by our table was covered in food crumbs and dust, and we waited over 45 minutes for our food. Disappointing for what I paid and expected.

    Last time I was here, I remember it amazing. This time... It was very, very loud. Our server was nice, but not very attentive. My steak was not cooked properly but he didn't return to the table about it until I was done. To be fair, I was comped a dessert, but along with the comment "I don't pay for it." The food was okay. The steak, parts cooked how I liked it, was actually amazing. I would have enjoyed the whole thing. My friend enjoyed hers..but was nothing spectacular, she said. The view was absolutely amazing; we did have a window seat. The bartender I spoke with was great and personable, but I only got a Diet Coke from her. Overall, if I'd paid half of what I did, I'd have felt it balanced out. With the cost I paid...and the crowdedness of the room and average table service...well, we were both a little disappointed.

    If you’re looking for a magnificent view of downtown Portland, this is it. On one side of the restaurant, you can see the sunset. The other side highlights the river and Mt. Hood. The lounge was cozy and had live music. 5 stars for the ambiance! Now, the food and service. The food was typical fare for a steakhouse: steaks, crab legs, salmon…. I ordered the filet. It was good, but nothing fabulous. It also sat in the window for about 10 minutes because I sent it back. Why? It came out within a minute of my soup. My server was not to my expectations for a meal that cost over $100 for 1 person. She was short throughout the meal and constantly rushing me through my meal. I had questions since this was my first time and she seemed annoyed in her mannerisms and her voice. She checked on me once during the meal during the soup and not again until I was finishing my dessert. She dropped the check before I was even through with my meal. Not a great experience, but the view and drinks my drinks were fantastic. Worth it? Yes, it is an experience once…

    Incredible setting and phenomenal view. The service was outstanding and extremely attentive. The manager was proactive, friendly and informative. It was also a nice touch that dessert was not ordered, it was provided for my wife’s birthday.

    We celebrated our anniversary at the Portland City Grill. The view can't be beat, the service was wonderful, and the food was first-rate.

    Have not been to PCG in several years, and was not overly impressed this visit. We were there at 4:30 on a Wednesday night. Not terribly busy and our services was HORRIBLE aside from the busser who was the only one who came to our table. We had to repeatly as him to find out servicer. We had a larger table so we were charged the automatic 18% which I hesitated in asking it to be removed but did not for the sake of the busser and kitchen staff.

    Very poor service. Others were served after we had arrived with water and drinks while we were totally ignored. It was like we did not exist. We felt very slighted. When asked how our dinner was as we were walking out 10 minutes after being seated—-by our waiter—-we were quite speechless. Totally clueless the staff was.
