   We had the Ribeye and the Cedar King Salmon. Both we cooked to perfection. The waiter seemed to know exactly when to check in and didn’t disrupt the evening.

   View and service was great. Food was not good. Ordered filet and it was not warm at all. Potato game with nothing. No butter, chives or bacon? Asparagus quay was poor. Took my wife for 50th birthday and I was shocked by the poor quality. I spent $250 for myself, wife and two kids. Would really appreciate compensation for this poor experience we had on my wife’s 50th birthday. My name is John Mayer at 425-785-3659.

   My boyfriend and I celebrated my 17th birthday here. It started off well, the bread and sushi for appetizers were good. But our meals took almost 2 hours to get to us, despite the fact our server checked on us 3 times, nothing was done about our meals. We didn’t know what to do. By the time our meals arrived, my pasta was mushy and tasteless and my boyfriend’s filet mignon had a tendon running through it, making it inedible. This experience and meal were a disappointment. The manager apologized and comp’d part of our meal, but why didn’t anyone care while we were waiting for almost 2 hours?

   Beautiful restaurant with amazing views. Our server was fantastic, so attentive and friendly. Food took a long time to come out, but our server kept us updated and drinks full. We had a great time!

   The food was very good, but I did have to send back my steak because it wasn’t cooked the way i wanted it. Our waiter didn’t fill our drinks very often and I was left with an empty glass most of the time. Overall it was an great experience!

    Went on Mother’s Day. They had a limited version of their regular menu items presented as a prix fixe for $69 per person. Felt like a poorly planned money grab. They didn’t have any of the appetizers I was planning on getting nor the entree I had planned to get. Ordered the curry mussels as an appetizer and the majority of the mussel shells were closed which means they were undercooked or inedible. Tables were squashed together and packed in like sardines. Food took forever. Will never come on a holiday again. Kind of over this place.

    The view overlooking Portland was absolutely breathtaking. The decorations and ambience of the restaurant or superb. The service was wonderful. There were servers constantly refilling water. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a wonderful Mother’s Day for myself. And my mother-in-law and our family. We will definitely be returning.

    Tables were packed so close together that servers could barely walk through them. Noise level was so loud you couldn’t have a conversation with the people at your table. Food was great and server was as well.

    Just ok. Service was great, but food quality was average. Caesar salad was soaking wet in dressing. Sushi was decent and came out very fast despite the restaurant being very busy with prom. Would only go back for the views of the city.

    I don’t know… Seems like PCG is coasting on its reputation. Food was mediocre relative to price, servers were polite but indifferent. Had to send a drink back because there was so much gunk all over the rim of the glass (it hadn’t been cleaned properly). All in all a big shrug of an experience, and a bit tough to swallow given their pricing.

    The food was great, the service was great. The view was amazing. It was a little noisy in our area due to a family with small kids, but other than that everything is great. The only bad part is I booked my reservation through OpenTable and I received an email saying that I was a no-show, I’m not sure why but even at the front desk when we checked in they did not have record of our reservation. Our waitress was Angela ( she was amazing) and we were at table 12/1 so I’m not sure what happened there. It was just me and my husband. We had a 5pm reservation. I received email confirmation of my reservation as well as a text message. If you would like to check into this, our bill was 201 but after using the $50 Landry’s rewards to bill was 151.     Our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and delightful. Pacing was unrushed. Our salads arrived cold and appetizers and dinner arrived hot. While the fillets were tender and cooked to the proper temperature, they were under-seasoned and the potato was uninspired and dry. Other meals were great (Cioppino and short ribs).

    I dined here with colleagues while we were in Portland for a conference. Everyone enjoyed their food including two vegetarians and a pescatarian. The one colleague who got a steak said it was among the best he's ever had. The views from the dining room are stunning. Although they make the most of the available space to fit in as many tables as possible we didn't feel crowded and we were able to hear each other over the lively sound in the dining room. Our only complaint, which I am sure was due to dining on a busy Friday evening, is that it took a while after we were done eating to get our waiter's attention to get the check. I definitely recommend Portland City Grill for business meals or special occasions.
