   It was easy to reserve a table, host sat us quickly, beautiful view of the city and the jambalaya was excellent.

   Despite having a reservation, we still had to wait over an hour to be seated with the request that we made to sit by a window. We had to servers, one at the bar that seem like she hates her job and the secondnone was perfect and extremely attentive. Overall they need to work on their timing with reservations and can do a little bit better with pricing. I have had better Steaks at Texas road house for 1/3 of the price.

   This is a great restaurant. I give the entrees a 7. The service was really good and the atmosphere beautiful. Kung Pao calamari is the bomb for an appetizer. I will come back here.

   Celebrated our 25th anniversary and told them ahead of time as well. Was disappointed we did not get a window table. We were told we couldn’t have the empty one across from us because it was only for 4 people. After about 15 minutes a couple were seated at that table. You can’t reserve window seats so I know they couldn’t have reserved it. Another party of 4 who were seated away from the window and asked if they could have the open window table and were told no, within a few minutes they seated a couple. It seems to me that there must be some people that can reserve window seats.

   Views are gorgeous! Food was okay. Server was helpful enough. Bill was lower than I expected-but in line with the experience. I will not be back for a meal. Just a dessert/drink or app/drink.

    Went to PCG, last night for our anniversary dinner. No acknowledgement by the restaurant of the special occasion (I made sure to denote that in my reservation) but it wasn't a big deal. I requested a window table, with the understanding that it was "first come, first served" and was pleasantly surprised to get one. Service was great...Lele was our server and she was awesome. Food was OK, my wife ordered a 7 oz filet and got a sirloin strip. Lele took care of getting a new steak and the manager was gracious enough to comp us the steak and a free desert, which we appreciated! Views are awesome! Highly suggested for the view and ambiance!!!!

    Amazing dinner @ Portland City Grill. My wife and I had the wedge salad followed by the Miso glazed black cod and the Cioppino. They were absolutely delicious. The waiter, Travis, was personable and very attentive to all our needs. We had a great evening out of dining.

    I’ve eaten here before and typically have a good experience, but this time wasn’t the best. My chicken was hard to cut, and tables that arrived after us received their food first. Also, restaurants like this typically have a manager check on tables throughout the night, and I never saw a manager in the dining room. This was all disappointing because it was my friends first time.

    Wonderful “mother/daughter” evening. The hostess was very accommodating to offer us what I call the best seat in the house. We originally asked for a window table which had a very long wait. So after I told the hostess that we were having a special mother/daughter night, she gave us a raised booth looking towards the glass with an outdoor view, which ended up being much better than a window table since we could still enjoy the view without being the view! We noticed the window tables really didn’t have privacy since everyone was looking at the outside view with the people at the window tables being right there in everyone’s view! I’m a bit shy so appreciated that we didn’t have anyone staring through us during their dinner!! And our server was amazing. He didn’t rush us - was very pleasant - and even offered to exchange my cocktail if I didn’t like it. I ordered a gin drink off the cocktail menu with orange and chocolate…a strange combination but I loved it!! The food was fabulous too.

    Having lived in Portland, we use to come her fairly often. This was our 1st trip back and we stopped to have dinner with friends. Our friends paid with gift cards, and we were going to pay with a card for the remainder. Upon, coming home discovered that we had been charged the amount of the entire dinner. We called, left messages with no reply. The charge was dropped but then a different charge appeared. While I'm pursuing other avenues, this is not the service I expected. Now to the actual meal and lack of service. The waiter disappeared for long periods of time. Our cocktails arrived beyond when our appetizers arrived. We brought a bottle of wine, and since no one came by proceeded to pour it ourselves. They said it was Wagyu steak, but doubtful. I wanted to like this place as much as I use to, and was trying to be considerate since I know Covid has hit the service industry but given the amount being charged, I don't think this is service. The lack of not even reaching back out once we attempted to call only makes it worse.

    Food is excellent. Our waiter, Jeff, was excellent. Love the views. The noise(music) was overly loud in the dining room so in turn it seemed like everyone was speaking very loud.

    Terrible service received. Perhaps because our table of PhDs and MDs were of color in the whitest big city in America (2022). Or perhaps your establishment is understaffed… The views are spectacular.

    The food and service @ City Grill was PHENOMENAL!! Shane was amazing in regards to his recommendations on our dinner and wine as well. This place did not disappoint !! Not to mention their amazing views all around. Thank you Shane for making our anniversary a memorable one!

    Excellent service and ambiance. Our waiter was outstanding and food delicious. We each had something different - fish, chicken and vegan dishes and each one was superb. they have a solid wine and cocktail list in addition to creative non-alcoholic cocktails.

    We were at Portland City Grill for our daughters high school graduation. The ambience was amazing. The noise level was just right, I remember, listening quietly to the tinkle of glass, and the sound of voices and music playing. The food was outstanding in every way as was the service.

    We have been here before and we love it more each time we go. Food, service, drinks, ambiance all really good. The only thing this time was the pork was tough and overcooked that’s why I subtracted a star as it’s one of their signature plates and it fell a little short.

    This isn’t just a night out to dinner, it’s an experience. Parking is secure from the evening streets of Portland. The view is breathtaking. Make a reservation, and request window seating upon arrival, then wait in the bar. It’s worth the wait. Very accommodating and friendly staff. The food is expensive but that’s the price you pay for the very high quality food and service they provide. Honestly, you haven’t “done” Portland if you haven’t dined here. Shout out to a waiter named Shane, who was beyond awesome and made our experience just that much better. 5 stars, will always be top 5 in Portland. P.S. did I mention their guests sometimes include celebs??

    Reserved 3 months in advance. Knowing Valentines day was going to be busy. Requested to be next to window. Even called after making reservations and was told they were going to make sure I was seated next to window. When checked in and walking to our seating area. Was walked to a table in the middle if other seated area. I told the waiter about us getting a table next to window since it was going to be honor by manager with no issues. The waiter said we needed still to wait another hr and half. Drove 1hr to destination so we decided still to dine in. If you Requested a certain seat and manager told you will be no issue. It should be honor. Very disappointed for thinking I made the right choice to bring my wife to a great restaurant with great city view. But didn't get that experience.

    It's always a pleasure to dine at PCG. The view is superb, the food is delicious and they had one of our favorite wines (Abeja Cab) on their wine list. A good time was had by all. :)
