Our group of 8 (2 with severe wheat allergies) found good selections on the menu & the staff were very thorough verifying with the kitchen that they would not receive any food that was cross contaminated. They not only allowed me to charge my phone at the hostess stand, they actually came to our table to let me know I had received a call. They went above & beyond! The only negative is that when we were sharing some of the gluten free items amongst our group, we overheard staff talking about our group, implying we were not truly celiac/gluten intolerant.

This was a nice stop for an interesting supper, while staying at the Broadmore.

Really fun spot! Great concept - the kids play while parents relax. The adult milkshakes are a must.

We ordered the mac and cheese which came with maybe 15 noodles, way too much cheese and only two fried cheese curds. The meatloaf said it came with a tomato jam which ended up being a very bland salsa out of a jar and the meatloaf had no flavor, the nachos barely had cheese on them and the chicken cut into cubes on it was dry and flakey. Besides the horribly over priced/low quality bar food, we booked our reservation online thinking we were also booking to play a game of bowling and when we got there that was not the case. We were told by your employees that people do this all the time and they have no idea why your website doesn't tell your customers that this does not include bowling and they must call to schedule bowling. Apparently, we were lucky we were actually able to get in for bowling a few hours later as most people are not. And I know this is all for the Broadmoor so things are more expensive but one hour of bowling for $75 is absolutely price gouging. We had one hour of bowling and three small ice creams and it was over $155 on top of our meal two hours earlier that was the same amount and we didn't even order drinks! We were so excited for this opportunity and we were horribly unimpressed and will not be going back to this restaurant.

The service did not come close to what you expect from the Broadmoor. Took 40 minutes to get our drinks and even longer for the food which was warm at best when we got it. They tried to make up for the terrible experience by offering free deserts. At least they offered something. Wouldn’t go back.

We were expecting a fantastic experience and got just an ok experience. The entire menu had such strange combinations of food. Just weird dishes. We went there a year ago and had SO much good food but this time, we were incredibly disappointed. The food wasn't nearly as good as the last time. My salad was mostly yellow. The $24 mac and cheese was such a small portion that my teenage son was still hungry and it wasn't very good either. But the burger was the best entree. Very tasty. Overall it was just a huge disappointment and not what we would expect from the Broadmoor.

They have completely revamped their menu - and not for the better. People choose The Play because it is the most casual, down to earth, restaurant that is on the Broadmoor property. The menu should reflect that. I ordered the $20 Rosemary Raspberry Martini - one time it was served without raspberries and the next time served without rosemary. We go every year and it is typically served with both. When I asked, they said they were out of these items. It may seem like a small detail but both of those ingredients are HUGE to the drink and for $20 I would expect they have them (or not sell the drink). We look forward to dining at this restaurant every year when we stay at the Broadmoor. I'm sad to say we won't be back, which makes me sad. I do have to say the service is phenomenal by the waiters/waitresses.
