For twenty years, we have lived and traveled the world. We are often surprised and inspired by the food we have eaten along the way.     This was my first time here, I met a friend for brunch. The food and drinks were really good and our server was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back.

    It was just an ok experience. Food was “ok”. I don’t think I’d pick this place for brunch again. Bloody Mary was unusual, not in a good way.

    The food was amazing. Our bartender recommended a great wine, which was delicious. We ordered appetizers, a main course and dessert. It was alll so good. Parking was conveniently located right behind the restaurant. Will be going back.

    I found plates and was able to get a last minute reservation, and we are so glad we did. It was a great meal and everyone enjoyed everything they got. Cocktails were wonderful, the wine and beer drinkers loved what they got. Food was excellent (and I had one of the best dinners I’ve had in years)

    This place is fantastic. Cute little restaurant with delicious food and cocktails. I ate a veggie bowl with shrimp and it was SO good. Overall great place for a good price.

    The paired dinners at Plate’s never disappoints. Staff is gracious, dishes and drinks are special and thoughtful, and getting to hear from chef and bar manager is always interesting.     We have been dining here for a few years now, food quality and service have never been short of outstanding. Outstanding and creative menu, and rotating/new dishes that always feature the best locally sourced ingredients. Staff is always welcoming and approachable, everyone who walks in feels welcome.

    Another amazing brunch! I always get the same thing - A B.E.C. on sourdough with cheese grits and an iced sticky toffee latte, and it's always wonderful! Generally my dining companion will order something else, and I have never heard a complaint from any of them. Service was great - prompt and friendly, not overbearing. While the tables are close I never feel like I'm sitting with the folks at the next table, even when sharing the booth wall. Will continue to make this my brunch spot at least once a month!

    We’re from Rocky Mount. We found the Neighborhood Kitchen Plate last summer and we drive from Rocky Mount every other weekend to enjoy brunch. The food and service are excellent. Best French Toast ever with the homemade applesauce as a tease. Riley (sp) you’re the best!

    We were a little disappointed in our starter (edamame hummus) but we were really impressed with our mains (we both had fish - trout and tuna). We also loved the wine selection, very impressive with a lot of variety and we were able to sample before we chose which is a nice touch. The staff were lovely and very attentive. A thumbs up from us!

    What does one say about perfection? Plates Kitchen always goes far and beyond any reasonable expectation! That is the reason Plates Kitchen is our favorite restaurant! I could eat every meal there!

    The scallop dish was one of the best I've eaten anywhere, truly. And the service, Andrew, was remarkable and incredibly attentive. His suggestions were spot on.

    Dinner outside. A bit noisy from cars and motorcycles on Glenwood but if nice weather its worth it. We dressed up but people were also dressed very casually. Almost too casual. Service was very good. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The Food was excellent!Portion sizes just right. Great presentation of each plate. We enjoyed fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer. They were so good ! Light and the batter was airy bit over powering. We also shared the mussels. Highly recommend both! Shared by 4. The homemade pasta is fabulous and cooked aldente. It was just right. Don’t skip this one right now as the summer veggies in the dish added great flavor and color. The Seafood dish was a nice portion and just enough. We had the sea bass. The steak frites esp the frites a must to try. More like tater tot consistency than a French fry. Desserts, which we never get, we’re Excellent. Peach cobbler ! Fresh and not too sweat. So Great. We will go again and I think the price of our meal was definitely worth it !
