I went at 2pm on a Sunday, so I was disappointed that they sold out of the charcuterie board and the deviled eggs. I did get to order the “day drinker” and it was delicious! My brunch choice was the big breakfast plate. It was so filling and I loved that they added fruit. This was the best brunch I’ve had in Raleigh in a while.
We reserved a bar seat and it was amazing. Bartender Brady was awesome. Great vibes and even better service. If you’re looking for a great brunch spot with some tasty food and great mimosas then this is your place. 10/10 would recommend
Outstanding desserts, fresh flavors, lots of different styles of dishes. Very supportive of those who choose not to drink alcoholic beverages, which I greatly appreciated.
We had a great time at plates! The service was a little slow but it’s slow everywhere due to the fact that everywhere is short staffed. The food and drinks were fantastic as usual and we had a great time at brunch. This was our second time at Plates and we will be back again soon. One of my favorite spots in Raleigh.
One if the best restaurants in raleigh! Consistently great food. I like that they actually make everything they serve - it doesnt come from a box
Stephanie is the best!!!!
The food is always delicious and the service is amazing.
The food was delicious. I had the veggie omelet and two friends had the trout cake eggs Benedict. I also got a Bellini and it was made with fresh peach juice. Really nice, simple lunch with good, fast service and a chill atmosphere.
Waiter was excellent…very fast service. Food delicious.
Great food, service, and outdoor seating! Definitely recommend.
Sat outside. Beautiful evening. Food was outstanding. Duck breast with peach and sweet potatoes and seared cod with corn suchotash. The only issue with outdoor seating is a few bothersome flies.
I love this spot the vibes are always good. The bartenders have a little bit of tunnel vision but not too bad. Overall a solid 4 stars. Would be five, the ONLY room for improvement would be not having to flag a bartender for everything, BUT when we did get their attention, they were super nice. Will definitely be back, this is a great place.
The food was incredible as were the drinks. Menu is limited but that wasn’t a problem. It apparently changes all the time.
Plates was fabulous, as usual. All Open Table users should not deny themselves, and go! You won’t be disappointed!
Food was fabulous. We had a nice time and plan to go back.
Amazing service and food! So attentive to our dinner and really went above and beyond!
Loved the food but I wish we could have gotten an update that the air was out. We made reservations well in advance and the experience was dampened by the heat. When we arrived we were not told the air was out either. Server was great and very timely and the food was quick and very good
Great service, delicious food, and comfortable ambiance. I took my mother and husband here for a brunch-y catchup/hangout and we all had a wonderful time.
Amazing service from Stephanie! The food was delicious, overall one of the best dining experiences I’ve had.
Plates is a lovely oasis in the midst of the chaos of Glenwood South. The service was great...better than the food, which was fine but not worth a return trip. We have been several times in the past and agree that, in our experience, the food is good but not compelling.
I tried the lamb sandwich. It was very salty. Really spoiled the flavor.
My wife had the Atlantic Haddock. She thought it was very good.
These guys know good food! And don’t even get me started on the staff that makes the experience unforgettable!
Fantastic food! Grits and Breakfast Potatoes we amazing!
This place is awesome! Farm to table, everything is always fresh and delicious. Creative menu that features new dishes every time we dine. Staff is top notch, knowledgeable, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome. 10 out of 10, this is one of Raleigh's dining gems!
Just ok 4 scallops as an entree for 28$ swimming in salty broth with a pile of kimchi on top just very mediocre the sear on the scallops was well done but the heavy salting in the seasoning made it very salty overall. Waiter seemed disconnected..hostess very nice ..ants under first outdoor table moved us to another without fuss
Nice spot busy glen wood scene ..it was what was available to come out in the area.. B-
Plates Kitchen is always amazing! If you want a guarantee how you can enjoy all of your meals, eat at Plates Kitchen. You will never be disappointed. The staff, Chris, with his cocktail offerings, and chef David Mitchell are all tens, on a scale of 1-10.
First time here, loved the strip loin with spinach and potato cake. Great service and food will definitely return!
My wife’s birthday
Excellent food. Excellent service. A few vegan and vegetarian options available.
Fantastic food and drinks!
Excellent food. Attentive service without being intrusive. Nice patio - street noise a little loud at first (7:30PM) but calmed down. Complimentary glasses of prosecco for anniversary a nice touch. Enjoyed the dog-friendly atmosphere
Always love the farm to table food at Plates! The chef has a wonderful pallet. Food is down home and high-end at the same time.
The patio is wonderful. Always had great service. The only downside is if it’s not nice outside it’s way too loud to dine inside.
I’m happy with the new trend of high-end restaurants putting their music on the down low so the guests can talk! Or maybe wait till after eight to turn up the volume. We’re going out for dinner, not hanging out at a bar!
Fresh food that is well prepared, great service, fantastic wine list.
we sat at the outdoor bar, it was beautiful! it wasnt too crowded & our waitress was nice. the pink flower is such a good drink!!
Went for Sunday brunch. Authentic biscuits started us out, but next time we are getting the zucchini parmesan hush puppies. The craft cocktails make an excellent pairing with the meal. All the food was fresh and scrumptious. It was delivered fast and hot, but we were not rushed to leave. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.
Great food, ambience and friendly service. Chef made food.
Chris, the bar manager, makes the best cocktails! Great service and delicious food. We come here at least 2 a month!
Amazing as always. Love the food and the service.
A date night with my husband. I had heard good things about Plates, and it lived up to the praise.
