Using only the freshest and finest ingredients available in the marketplace Pina handcrafts all of her sausage, manicotti, cannelloni, lasagna, gnocchi, bread and sauces, not to mention her luxurious and sensual dessert offerings as well as all of her other exquisite dishes.
expect to experience exceptional quality traditional Italian cuisine created to meet the very highest standards of gastronomic excellence. Pina rigidly adheres to this standard and proudly proclaims – "I will not serve any dish that I would not be happy to eat myself."
The food is freshly prepared and delicious. The service is great. Pina is a warm and friendly hostess who remembers her patrons from future visits, their food and drink preferences, and personal details that were shared in previous visits. A while wonderful experience.
I enjoy the fresh homemade specials every time I go there. The wine list is solid with a variety to compliment your taste and wallet. The service is personable and attentive. Always a fabulous meal here.
This family owned restaurant is delicious. Every time , never disappoints. Family that owns it are very personable also.
Heartfelt, delicious food made and served by heartfelt, wonderful people. The love of what they do and what they prepare oozes out of everyone in the restaurant and it's evident in every bite.
The best character of any restaurant in Tustin. It is an experience and a best choice for Valentine's day.
The food is always fabulous and the service is great. I love supporting a locally owner and operated business.
The food is beautifully authentic, rich, and flavorful. The service equals the fantastic food: relaxed, charming, and family friendly but a table of two will feel just as comfortable.
Good food at great prices
I've written reviews in the past, and my opinion hasn't changed. This is our favorite restaurant! Nothing anywhere compares to the quality of the food ... and the kindness of everyone preparing and/or serving. Each dish is delicious, flavors are out-of-this-world authentic, and we have never been disappointed. Oh, and let me add that we travel at least an hour & a half just to have dinner here! You really need to try it if you aren't already hooked like we are!
Pina’s is neighborhood dining at it’s best. The place is not fancy, but the food is great and the service is friendly. In some ways Pina’s is more like eating in a friend’s kitchen: On the night we were there, Pina came out and offered a guest an extra helping because “there was a little more left in the pan.” Don’t expect Michelin starred anything at Pina’s — it’s not that kind of place — and we think that’s a good thing!
Pina's is a hidden, tiny gem. Family owned and operated, these folks know Italian food and prepare it with love and care. It's home cooking (at its best) served to you by friendly, caring folks.
The food is extraordinary.....and consistently so from visit to visit. If you’re looking for homemade Italian food ,then give Pina’s a try . It will become your favorite !!
This place is the best, it is like you are going to their home for a meal. Friendly service and fantastic food.
Great family owned and delicious spot! Quality food with a personal touch that will make you feel special!
The food, service, and friendliness of the owner and staff are consistently outstanding. This is a true gem of an Italian restaurant. Not to be missed.
Pina’s Bistro was one of my favorite lunch spots when I worked in the area. Now I’m retired and don’t go nearly so often. But the waiter remembered my order (spinach panini) and even remembered to hold the onions. After two years!! The panini was fabulous as always. The homemade Italian roll crunchy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The spinach sautéed with just the right amount of olive oil and garlic. Tomato, ricotta, lemon! You can’t make a better sandwich. And the side salad has an amazing lemon dressing. Pina will sell it but not divulge the recipe. It’s that good. My two friends had the same thing. We all wanted to order something else! And it is all good. We have to go back for dinner.
Wow! Our first time here. Food was fabulous. Service and hospitality was first rate. Truly a gem of a restaurant. Coming back soon to try some of the rest of the menu.
My favorite restaurant. Love everything about it. We shared a sweet night with friends who had never been before. Food was amazing, ambiance was simple and delightful, conversation with Pina was right on and very fun. Our friends said they felt the love we, and others patrons, have for Pina and her family.
Excellent food and service
Best in the OC!
Pina's is always a great place for a fun dinner. The owners always make us feel welcome and the food is awesome. The salad that comes with the dinner has the best dressing, which they happily sell by the bottle. Each dish is made to order, which is perfect for picky eaters. Enjoy!
You’ll enjoy Pina’s for the food, warm, unpretentious service and — Pina! This is the rare place where the chef / owner will greet you and tell you about your dish. The ambiance is homey, but in no way “fancy.” Eating at Pina’s is more like eating at a friend’s house than most of today’s restaurants: It’s friendly, inviting and human. My kind of place!
Love them!! Family run and always a delight! Yes, I would recommend them any time.
Amazing everything! This is a family run business and they sincerely treat you like family! Have been here several times, had a larger group this time and the service and food were excellent. We had a later reservation, so we were pretty much the last ones there. They were very gracious and didn’t even rush us out the door! Bruschetta is the best I have ever had. Not sure if they always have, but the Lemoncello cake...delicious! Highly recommend Pina’s!
The food for each of us was a disappointment. Hardly like the last times we visited. The price point of the food was ridiculous. I don’t mind paying even top dollar for good food, but not at Pina’s on the night we visited. We took a good friend to Pina’s , extolling the restaurant on the food and the value for the food. We were embarrassed. Don’t think we will return. There are other Italian restaurants in the area to which we will go in the future.
Love the place - it's never fails to amaze us! The service, the quality of the food, the attention to detail, simply awesome - 10 out of 10 at any day!
After going there for almost 20 years - I ALWAYS love going there - love mama and her girls and have watched the grow and change (just like me) over the years. It is the best!!
Like being at the Chef’s table...excellent. A great meal, and excellent wine. Dessert a must.
Fresh and delicious sooooo good
We love Pinas. Amazing food and Pina is always so sweet and chats with us!
We hadn't been to Pina's in some time and declided to go for lu.ch. Ordered calamari and Margherita pizza. Food was bland and flavorless. Pizza crust was spongy. Hardly any topping. Pizza frim COSTCO would have been better! Far better, authentic choices elsewhere. We will not return.
When ever I’ve taken clients or friends to Pina’s, they’ve always been impressed and have said they’d return !
It’s such a joy to spend dinner with a family owned and operated restaurant. The food is always delicious.
We had a terrific meal of home cooked Italian food. We sat outside on a pleasant evening. Get the clams with spicy red sauce and dip the bread! It’s amazing!
Great atmosphere, service and just love the people there. Felt like I was at their home for a wonderful meal.
First time visiting based on a recommendation. We decided to sit inside vs. outside due to street noise. Inside is quite small, seating tight (our table for 2 was very small in size) and high noise level especially if a table for 6+ is used and can hear kitchen noise. They only serve a house salad, no Caesar for an Italian restaurant. Prices quite high. I ordered the Chicken Piccata - while portion was large, it was not tender and was bland in flavor - not pounded thin. Service was iffy - we never knew who our server was - maybe an off night.
Everything was great except the noise level indoors and no outside table for too. Way too noisy for someone that likes quiet dinner conversation.
My girlfriend and I were looking for an Italian restaurant to get dinner at when we found Pina’s on open table. Being from the east coast myself, good Italian food is hard to come around in California. After leaving the restaurant I was more then satisfied. The food was delicious and the service was great. We will definitely be revisiting to try some more of the menu.
Excellent place to enjoy food, service and meet the an excellent chef. Only wished the acoustic was better to absorb the many customers talking. It is on the upside of loud however I am recommending friends to go here and I will return as well. You won't be disappointed with this gem of italiano!! 🙂
