Pimlico Tandoori, located on Morton Street in central London, is a a charming neighbourhood restaurant run for over 30 years by the Meah family. Recently refurbished in fresh apple green tones, the stylish eatery is loved by locals and curry fans alike for its authentic homestyle cooking and friendly atmosphere, and Pimlico Tandoori is always busy with a business lunch trade during the day, and with famiiles and couples in the evenings. The kitchen uses organic produce where possible, and we love the Chicken Masala cooked with fresh green herbs and spices, pan-fried garlic and ginger and crushed pomegranate seeds; the King Prawn Suka – grilled prawns simmered in a sweet and sour tamarind sauce; and the classic Lamb Rogan Josh curry.

    Mainly a caucasian clientele probably as a result of their location, and so slightly higher priced for the same Bangladeshi food that is available for 3/4 of the cost in other similar ambience restaurants in other areas.

    Made booking in afternoon but arrived to a full restaurant and was told opentable often doesn't work. Issue needs to be sorted out. Not impressed by this but ambiance looked good. Clearly can't comment on food or service!

    We lived in Pimlico in the eighties, in the "Moreton Triangle" and this little tandoori was around the corner. We loved it. We decided to take our family there recently for a birthday meal and to see what it was now like. It didn't disappoint! It still has the same ambience and the food is distinctive and excellent. We were given a very friendly welcome. The restaurant is small and very busy so it's advisable to book.

    A very lovely local indian restaurant with very good food. Very friendly and a good experience all round. Good indian food in a very nice restaurant environment with friendly service. I went there on Sundy evening wanting good Indian food - it fitted my needs very well.

    Top value, unfussy restaurant that charges the standard prices you can expect for good Indian food - except that here the food was truly excellent. Service friendly, efficient and watchful without ever being invasive or over-pressing. Unhesitatingly recommended.

    We ordered the lamb biryani and another lamb dish that we can not recall at the moment. Both were ok but not so good.

    Took a group of 13 here for dinner before a work Christmas party. It was perfect for the job. Unfussy, efficient service and really, really good food. All the usual favourites plus some nice specialities. Not the most lavish place in the world but did the job well and was clearly popular locally. Wouldn't hestitate to go back.

    Fairly standard flockpaper cuzza. Does a good chicken tikka masala and even better peshawari nan. The electronic card machine not working night we were there which meant legging it to a cashpoint. Service was friendly, popular with American ex-pats.

    An excellent Indian restaurant with very attentive staff and delicately prepared food. This is the third time I have used this restaurant and I will go again.
