It's always a pleasure dining at P.P. It's a gourmet, but comfortable experience for all occasions. We had the branzino & Dover sole following Caesar salad and fried calamari. Service was attentive but not intrusive. I highly recommend it!
Too crowded and noisy. Layout uncomfortable, service slow, food just okay. Sorry, but it’s what I experienced.
Some of the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy!
Best Italian food in LA. Staff always makes us feel at home.
great service with excellent food and really friendly atmosphere. lots of returning guests
Charming, personable service, as always. Delicious baby spinach (w/pear and walnuts) salad; mouth-watering branzino; perfect decaf iced cappuccino. And our car waiting as we exit, thanks to Robert, maybe the nicest valet in town.
Always a great meal at Piccolo Paradiso. It never disappoints. Wait staff is friendly and professional. Food is always good - from Milanese to pasta. Salads and meats - never had a bad meal and have been many, many times. Guests are a good mix of age and energy. Highly recommend.
lovely lunch. private lovely restaurant.
authentic italian food
this is my favorite italian restaurant on the westside. other than the hostess needing 'smile' lessons, everything is really quite wonderful.
We love this restaurant. The people that work there treat you like family and the food is always cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the branzino. The burrata was out of this world. Always consistent. Always makes me happy to eat there. If I can’t be in Italy this is the closest thing.
PP has a neighborhood feel to it maybe because the front of house staff seemed to greet everyone with kisses. Service was great. My partner’s veal was overdone but my pasta with lobster and crab was excellent. We shared a PP salad which was also first rate. If we lived in BH I would go back.
A lovely place, good food and excellent service. Comfortable.
Last evening, we experienced what was perhaps our worst dining experience ever in Los Angeles. From the moment we sere seated, pretty much everything was wrong. We arrived at the restaurant right at 5pm when it opened, and were seated immediately towards the rear of the restaurant near the bar. Although there were several waitstaff hanging out and chatting at the bar, we were totally ignored for at least 10-15 minutes. Had we not been entertaining guests, we would probably have gotten up and left. Finally, someone came over, took our drink order, and these were delivered promptly and were fine. We told our server that we would like to enjoy our drinks for 10 minutes or so before ordering...big mistake!! The restaurant was filling up, and it took at least 30 minutes to even get our waiter’s attention again. After our first course, it took forever to get our entrees, and during this time we were completely ignored and although we asked the busboy several times to send our waiter over, this was impossible. When our entrees were finally served after a wait of almost an hour, they were all cold and very bad. A chicken entree was totally dried out, and cacio e pepe which can easily be made at home, aside from being cold, was awful...swimming in oil, and with very little cheese which is a key ingredient of this simple dish. No cheese was offered for the cacio, or another guest who had ravioli. Certainly after being at the restaurant for two hours, we were not about to send our food back to be recooked. We asked to talk with the manager, but he was away (no surprise!). We were offered two desserts for compensation, but that was ridiculous considering what we had experienced. We left after nearly three hours, having had our worst LA dining experience ever. Needless to say, we’ll never return!
Good service and good food
I was quite surprised by the reviews after our visit. We chose this restaurant because of the great reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food experience. The food was not spectacular. It was bland and not very good. The prices are not consistent with the quality of their food. If a restaurant is going to have high prices, the quality of their food should be at least good or worth eating. The restaurant is small so when the restaurant is busy the noise level is extremely loud. I did give the service a high rating, as we did feel the service was superb. Our waiter was friendly and on point. We will not return to this restaurant which is unfortunate. The only reason for the overall rating of a 2 was primarily due to the service we received from our waiter, otherwise the score would have been less.
I thought the food was good not fabulous. I asked if the Cesar was creamy they said no but it was so that was disappointing. I would have ordered a different salad. The menu is very extensive. I had picatta chicken and it was a bit over cooked and too saucy. My moms veal was ok. The service was good and the restaurant full. There was no waiting with a reservation. I would try it again.
Our favorite resaurant within walking distance in Beverly Hills. The filet was exquisite. And, as usual, the calamari as a starter cannot be beat,
Amazing Food, Amazing staff! Would recommend to everyone I know! I will be back!
The food was good, nice selection. Service a bit confused but it was New Year's Eve so I excuse that.
Absolutely phenomenal pastas that live up to the “handmade” expectations set by the menu and the reviewers. Wait staff we mediocre and showed little attention - unwilling to share a description of the 12+ sauces available, no follow up after the meal was delivered, forced to ask water boy for the check. It was clear that locals were treated with far more personal touch. Go for the pasta and intimate atmosphere, set expectations low on service.
We arrived for a Christmas Eve dinner and the entire staff, from the hostess to the waiters, were all so friendly and accommodating. We waited a mere 5 minutes for our table and our waiter wasted no time welcoming us and getting our drink orders. The food was the best and we will definitely be back!
A fine Christmas Eve dinner for two. Two house made pasta dishes and burrata with roasted peppers were delicious...professional servers.
Great place for any ocassion.
Delicious and authentic Italian meal all around with an impeccable waitstaff. I'll be back.
Excellent Food in a small, intimate atmosphere. Although fairly expensive, I would highly recommend this restaurant for Italian food.
The food was good; the service uncharacteristiclly slow.
It was definitely a mature crowd.
Overall good, but a bit off the mark.
Wonderful food, service and ambiance as usual. Our favorite restaurant.
Mixed is the honest answer. Good service initially, great food but ... we were seated on time (8.30pm) and shared a starter and main. It was a slow night so we were one of the last tables to still be eating which led to the wait staff to very obviously start to clear us out. Front door opened wide (making the restaurant really cold), tables started to be packed up, etc. Maybe I am sensitive to this but a good restaurant simply shouldn’t do this - every diner should have the same experience, regardless of what time you eat etc. Just disappointing.
Piccolo is a neighborhood gem if you love authentic Italian food. It small, cozy and quaint. I had the lobster crab pasta. It was well seasoned but not overpowering. I will definitely be back.
A lovely place for dinner. Unfortunately, we ordered salmon which was tasteless; the whole meal was disappointing.
For the Holiday
Piccolo Paradiso is a neighborhood gem. Exceptionally well managed by the general Manager Fabrizio Fantanella. Menu does not change much, because pastas are wonderful, fish is every day fresh, wine list is up to date, and they have some specialities such as the baked artichoke that are not found in the neighboring Italian restaurants.
Very nice pasta and saute
Restaurant is great. Saturday nights are too busy
Nice and cozy restaurant, makes you feel like you're at a big family gathering. Service is excellent, from the hostess to the valet. Piccolo staff are really friendly and welcoming. The food was really good although I prefer my pasta to be cooked a little longer, flavor was good. I would go back and definitely recommend to friends.
Piccolo Paradiso is a great place to go, either in a couple or with friends. The service always feels personal. The food is always wonderful -- no such thing as bad choice. And the ambience is quiet and comfortable. It is one of very few restaurants I know these days where one can enjoy an excellent meal and relaxing conversation with friends.
Food was awesome! Pumpkin ravioli portion looked small but very rich so was a perfect portion size. The chicken piccata was tender and very good. Portion was ample and didn’t finish to save room for dessert. Lemon meringue tart was delicious as was the apple a la mode.
Staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable.
Definitely a local favorite and the restaurant filled very quickly so make a reservation.
If you’re lucky like us you may even see a Hollywood Star!
Had a very good dinner.
Waiter was very personable and attentive.
The dining experience is always consistent and good!
The food is 5 star. Delicate, light, tasty
The service is just right, not intrusive but always there when necessary.
The ambiance is cozy and just lively enough.
We live this restaurant.
