Located in the Heart of Sonoma Valley, Loxton Cellars is a working winery surrounded by 5 acres of estate vineyard. It is the intent of owner/winemaker, Chris Loxton, to produce handcrafted wines, made without compromise, that show balance and a sense of place. Wine tastings (no food) are currently offered by reservation and take place outdoors allowing guests to enjoy a lineup of handcrafted wines while taking in breathtaking views of the Mayacamas mountain range. Tastings are $20/person, include a flight of 5 wines and offer a casual and educational experience. In the event of rain we do have you covered, but it can be a bit chilly this time of year so we suggest bringing layers. While we do not sell or serve food, you are welcome to bring snacks or lunch to enjoy in the picnic area. If you do not see the time you are looking for available give us a call at 707-935-7221 and we may be able to accommodate.

    So a local here that is always looking for a place to send guests for a special treat. Experienced Sam’s for the first time last night. Celebrating a birthday. They asked when you reserve, hostess asked celebrating a birthday, yes, obligatory Happy Birthday! Ordered drinks and food a generous drop for two and no further mention of the birthday! Why ask on the reservation? Just doesn’t make sense. I had so many family and friends ask about our experience and sad to say our response was the waitress was overworked (inside and out) and no personal touch to the occasion! Such an easy fix. Costs nothing to offer a dessert.

    From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We’ll absolutely be back and are already recommending this place to friends and family. A hidden gem that deserves all the praise. Thank you to Zach and Chef Mark for the hospitality.
