Best Waterfront Restaurants in Wilmington

Had a great experience except when we arrived they had a high top table when I reserved standard seating. We had kids in our group so needed std table. They apologized and said it didnt note that on rez. They quickly found us a table.

Carlucci sis a true exceptional dining experience. Ambiance, live music, cocktails,wine, view and very importantly the service was exceptional as well.

Some of the very best food in Wilmington. The atmosphere could use some improvement. If you are looking for creative, fresh food, this is your place.

Good service and welcoming staff. My husband had the chicken Piccata which was very flavorful and a good size portion. I had the pasta primavera which wasn't as flavorful as the piccata but OK. For dessert we had the boubon cake which wasn't what I expected and was more mousse than cake. The location is right at the Delaware River and the view from the restaurant is nice.

Visited River Rock Kitchen on a surprisingly busy Tuesday night—turns out the convention center nearby was hosting an event. The restaurant is divided into different lounge areas, each with its own dedicated staff. On our side, there was only one person managing the entire lounge. She handled everything from bartending to taking orders, serving food and drinks, and even cleaning up tables. Honestly, she did the work of three people and never missed a beat. Major props to her professionalism and grace under pressure. The food itself was solid—flavorful and served in generous portions. That said, the pricing felt a bit on the higher end for what we got. Still, considering the quality and the atmosphere, it was overall a pleasant experience. Would definitely go back, especially if they added a little more staff support. That one woman was a powerhouse, but no one should have to juggle all of that alone!
