Good food...a little on the expensive side with guac at $14.
Great vibe and delicious food. The Cauliflower nachos are a must. Expensive even for upscale Mexican
Love this place! Recommend the al pastor tacos and the machaca quesadilla. The spicy margarita is pretty good too.
Open late!! Great tacos, especially the duck!! Margarita’s get the spicy one!!
Centrally located near Hollywood, Petty Cash was a good place to connect with friends. The drinks were decent , though they weren’t terribly open to customizing them. There were some inventive items on the menu (octopus tacos!) and the majority of our party was quite pleased with their meal. The guacamole was delish, a must have for any taqueria. We’d do it again.
Love it everything here is amazing. Great good and great staff
Great place, wonderful wipe. Lovely mex
First time to dine in and the food is great and the place is excellent to chill out with friends !!!
this is my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles! Also I have to shout out Jess the most amazing server and former hostess! She has made several experiences there completely amazing (i.e. family-in-law in town!)
The food at Petty Cash is always EPIC. Just incredible. From the guac to the nachos to the durados to ALL of the tacos ... PERFECTION.
Cauliflower nachos are amazing and the music rocks!
Great short rib quesadilla and guacamole. Good atmosphere for a date or to meet friends.
The space is very simple and comfortable. The service was top notch from start to finish. We had several cocktails that were well made. The food was very good with good portion sizes. We ordered so that we could share and try several dishes. Overall was worth coming back for.
Good food. Service was ok
Always good and fun! The nachos are the best and mandatory.
Great food & service!
Ok food, but overpriced for what it was. $7 for 1 taco!
Severs were very friendly, but actual service only so-so. Took a while to clear plates, nobody came to refill water etc.
Decent, convenient and fun atmosphere, but nothing to write home about.
One in our party has peanut allergies and EVERYTHING is cooked in peanut oil. Really?! I've never heard of such a thing. Tacos are good, but over priced. The chips COOKED IN PEANUT OIL weren't very good. And, our server had to be asked twice to bring our drinks.
The atmosphere was awesome.
We decided after going to petty cash for the past 3 years that it's time to say goodbye... $100 not including tip for 4 tacos, 3 drinks and guacamole is just too expensive.
Everything we ate was delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try more tacos and the cauliflower nachos!
New Years Day. Very busy and very loud. Great nachos and tacos. Did I mention it was incredibly loud? Not a fan of being placed at a communal table when we had a reservation.
We just moved to L.A. a few days before New Year's Eve and were looking for a tasty, fun place to grab a bite to eat before hitting the local watering holes. Petty Cash was hosting a late night NYE event and had plenty of open reservations so we thought we would take a chance! The service was spot-on throughout the whole evening, and the food was delicious! While I thought the food was delicious and creative, it's definitely more unconventional and we had some more selective eaters in our group who weren't as jazzed about some of the flavors used, so I'd encourage others to view the menu before visiting, but definitely take a chance on Petty Cash sometime soon!
Great tacos and drinks, but it ain’t cheap!
The food is delicious but so overpriced it’s absolutely crazy. $7 for one small taco? Thats just wrong and they know it. Their taco is good but still pales in comparison to a local taco truck. They should be ashamed. This is whitewashed mexican food for the utterly privileged (and probably dumb if they are paying $7 a taco for dinner...)
Not coming back.
I miss the old menu! Bring back you classic tacos and salads please. Still come for the drinks, chips & guac though.
Our waitress was Sarah. SHe was AMAZING. I beg you to relay to management what an amazing value add she is to their restaurant.
Really wonderful staff. Had an early Christmas Eve dinner with 9 people and felt totally at home - no rush even after hours. And the menu is creative and very interesting. Subtle flavours, every choice made by the chef a thoughtful one. As an example, different tortilla flour depending on the taco 'filling.' And great for kids - vegetarians and 98 year old grandmothers... something on the menu for everyone.
Good food, pretty decent service
It was a funky place with good vibes, however quite expensive for what it is but I guess this is what you pay in LA? I wouldn’t go back but my partner said he would.
Great food, nice atmosphere. Good place for girls night.
Went for dinner during happy hour and ended up full after an order of the cauliflower nachos, guac and the octopus tacos. Happy hour is a pretty good deal given the margarita price is about half of what it is during dinner. I can see that if we'd been hungrier, we would've dropped quite a lot of money for interesting, but not outstanding food. We usually frequent Escuela Taqueria down the street, which is more inventive, delicious and less expensive. BUT the ambience here is nice and the pacing was good, so I'll definitely go back.
All good. Great food. Attentive server. Great ambiance. Not a fan of communal tables but we managed to make it through.
Petty Cash is one of my favourite spots in LA for high end margaritas, nachos, and some exquisite buñuelos. It's definitely on the pricy side, but it has a great happy hour on week days that make it a great spot for after work drinks.
Great vegetarian options and even better drinks and dessert.
Also the staff is always very lovely!
Great food and good customer service.
Music is a bit loud to be able to talk.
Good food but overpriced
Good food but horrible deal for prices and portion size, tacos are So small, this is good for a happy hour but not for a meal, we were starving afterwards!
Food was delicious! We went at an off time and it was quite! The margarita and Califlower and kale nachos were outstanding!
They couldn't do the VIP payment even though it says we could through OpenTable.
