   Very attentive staff, good to see people taking the trouble to check for allergies. Excellent lunch carefully presented and all the more enjoyable for being able to chat to ones companion without the increasingly loud chatter of wine relaxed others close by spoiling the ambience.

   it was a lunch of a very special kind. we were the only table but things went very wrong from the start. the staff did their best to keep us happy, full marks to them. A Monty Python or Fauwlty Tower experience

   Booked via opentable so can't undertand where the blame should be directed to. Turned up to the restaurant after making a reservation and the it was closed. Surely the restaurant can't offer and accept bookings if its closed?

   Arrived and shown to a table by the bar not in restaurant, menu came over extremely limited, not what was and still is advertised on website. Traveled a long way with overnight stay decided it was totally unacceptable a left after 1 drink. Disappointed behond belief

   We drove all the way from Surrey had a reservation for dinner, turned up and was told we didn’t have a booking even though I had an email from OpenTable. Very rude manager who didn’t have any customer service skills whatsoever would not recommend this restaurant as you may not even get to dine there. Would not recommend as you maybe wasting your time as their booking system seems not to work.

   The low mark for ambience is purely down to coronavirus keeping diners away. The stylish dining room was virtually empty but the food and service were very good. Presentation of dishes was of a high level with the only criticism being that the fish dish was slightly over cooked. The staff were attentive and professional, doing all they could to enhance our experience. We hope to visit again when public confidence improves along with public health. Thank you Petrichor.

   We had a wonderful meal at the Petrichor, service was excellent, meal was delicious, our glasses were never empty, so thku for another special meal, we recommended our friends stay at the Cavendish too , and they are loving it, so thku so much

   I took my friend to this resturant as a belated birthday lunch. The resturant didn't dissappoint. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Would recommend this resturant to family and friends.

    Whilst service and food were fairly good, disappointed with the restaurant - no tablecloths and it looked a little dated, which was a real shame
