Pepper Tree Restaurant
Haven't been in about seven years and still consistently great! The staff was very attentive and the quality of the food is still a cut above the rest. I requested a window seat via"open table"and the establishment accommodated accordingly.
Everything the best!! Wide range of ages in our party, and all were very pleased.
The pepper steak was amazing! So flavorful and cooked perfectly! The crab cake appetizer was delicious - full of fresh tasting crab meat! Service was impeccable. Definitely recommend this restaurant!!!
The food was incredible and the service made it taste even better. Looking forward to the next time.
This was perfect for our romantic night out! Beautiful scenery and wonderful atmosphere
It was my parents 56 wedding anniversary dinner.
We had a lovely time.
The food was delicious as always and the servers were amazing!
Thanks for making this a memorable experience for my family.
Always a wonderful place for for any occasion
Overall, the food was above average. But compared to cuisine we've enjoyed at 100s of restaurants in over three dozen countries and every state, the price was way out of range for the quality. We've eaten in Paris, Rome, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Oslo, Helsinki, Stockholm, Nairobi, Cape Town, Chicago, New York, LA, Anchorage, etc. and can get the same quality for a much more reasonable price. That would be the biggest complaint. Other than the one particular wait staff with ZERO sense of humor. So we will recommend the restaurant to friends/family with the caveat that it is overpriced.
My husband and I had a wonderful first time experience at the Pepper Tree. We went to celebrate a special occasion and had wonderful service. We loved everything from the moment we walked in, everyone was so pleasant. It was a true team effort to serve us and make sure we were satisfied. The food was delicious, brought out at the perfect times and fresh! We really enjoyed everything we had: Started out with french onion soup, lobster bisque soup, then the house salads with the dill vinaigrette, the steak Diane, the Oscar special and the apple pie-they were all delicious!!! The gin and tonics and my red wine choice were also great. The sauce that the steak Diane was smothered in was to die for. We really enjoyed our experience, we had a nice table at the window facing the city. We will definitely be back!
The pepeer steak is always perfect. I could eat it every week.
Amazing service & fantastic food!!! Our waiter Josh made our night!
Was birthday dinner from my girlfriend. The spinach salad was amazing, would highly recommend. Her steak diane was delicious. I ordered the bone in ribeye special. I was actually a little disappointed, it was extremely fatty (more than normal), tough, and really kinda bland without much seasoning and flavor. We didnt end up having dessert.
I have always loved the Peppertree. One of my favorites for sure but this was my worst experience. Very disappointing!
The service was excellent and the food was delicious. It was my mother's 70th birthday and she was treated like a queen. Thank you for a great experience!
Absolutely fabulous dining experience. Traditional offerings have flair for adventure. The house specialty, pepper steak, is a perfect example.
Great restaurant! The food is amazing here. This is my new favorite restaurant.
This is a fabulous place to celebrate something special. Don't bother listening to the specials, or looking at the menu. The ONLY thing to order is their Pepper Steak. It is so good, you don't need a steak knife, and the meat just melts in your mouth.
The Pepper Tree is a wonderful experience of table side service and quality.
Pepper tree is always a good bet if you want impeccable service and a fantastic meal. Doesn’t disappoint.
Our time there was a pleasant experience and we will definitely return.
Expensive but wonderful
The second we walked in the service was very nice. The staff was very polite and offered to take our coats. throughout the experience the staff was consistently nice.
The food however was mediocre at best. We started with a crab cake appetizer which arrived a little under-cooked and too thick for our liking, and I'm a food snob so I could tell that somewhere along the way to our table it sat out a little too long.
For the main course I ordered the classic 6 oz. pepper steak with a loaded baked potato and the potato arrived without butter (huge mistake). The steak was cooked table-side and right from the start I could tell the flame was to high, sure enough my steak was slightly burnt on the outside and slightly raw on the inside. Lucky for me I kinda like it that way.
My wife ordered the salmon and although she did ask for it to be cooked thoroughly it was dry and she described the glaze like a hardened candy. And she described the rice that came with it was just rice.
The bread we were served prior to the whole meal was also not very good. something was just not right with it.
For the price we expected MUCH more.
The service, ambiance and food was truly memorable. Although price is in the upper end, the experience was too. Would definitely go again.
Service was good. For the price the food was just good for me. Was not outstanding. I can grill a better filet than I got. Overall it's a nice place. If I went back I might try the fish.
The service is always outstanding at the Peppertree. The food is excellent and the drinks are on point!
Food and service is always great. This is our favorite place for a great steak and quite night out
Best steak (seasoned and cooked to perfection) and french onion soup we’ve ever had! We’ve been in Colorado for 30 + years and this was our first visit to The Peppertree but it won’t be our last! The service was top notch! Atmosphere was nice however there was a table of approximately 6 people behind us who were quite loud and there was a lot of cackling going on! ....(glad they were having fun) but it took away from our idea of a quiet and romantic evening - however this is of no fault of the restaurant or staff! We will definitely return and recommend The Peppertree to family and friends.
Pepper Tree was the perfect spot for a celebration. The views are lovely and the food was delicious. Tableside steak prep was great and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Dessert was disappointing so next time I'll skip it but the meal was still worth the price. We will definitely go again.
OUTSTANDING service and food! Atmosphere is cozy and the table-side preparation on some menu items is fun to watch! I’ve NEVER had a better steak than Peppertree’s Steak Diane! In my opinion, it’s THE BEST steak and service in town!
Excellent food and service. Our first time could not get in February 14 our anniversary. It was worth the wait. Would definitely go again. Really liked all the waiters available for you.
Quite simply, the Peppertree Restaurant is THE BEST restaurant in Colorado Springs.
This is my favorite restaurant because the food is outstanding, the atmosphere is classy and the staff is always great
Excellent in every respect! Delicious food, superb service, and very nice setting! Great!
Small building, yet made for a very intimate experience. Amazing view of downtown Colorado Springs. The food was very good! I had the viel, but will probably go steak next time. $250 bill by the end, yet well worth it.
The staff at The Pepper Tree is always inviting, helpful and professional!! We enjoy going there for the food especially but also for the entire experience! Have never had a bad meal!
Very slow bar service . Had to ask for silverware before dinner.
This was our first experience at the Pepper Tree. Tops in all caregories! We’ll be back and we will certainly recommend it to our friends.
The food was excellent but I do not believe that the price was not correct. I do not want refund but would like for Joshua to contact me by text: 719-649-8237
We've been Pepper Tree fans for years. Great food and service. Good wine list. The Pepper Steak is really great.d
I took my wife here for an early valentines dinner. As we entered, there was a gentleman behind the counter who took our coats and hat. All of the servers were dressed in tuxedos. They were all very pleasant and eager to serve. At first I felt a little under dressed in my nice button up shirt and slacks but quickly noticed a lot of other customers in similar attire. After that, I felt very comfortable. We were about 20 minutes early to our 6:00 reservation but they seated us immediately. The food was absolutely amazing! I got the ribeye special and my wife got something off the menu. Her meal was one that was to be cooked at the table. Various staff worked on her meal. It was a well timed out team effort. We both asked for our beef to be medium rare and it was perfect. The rue that they made with her steak was amazing! Our water glasses were kept full. My wife asked what the best wine would be for desert. The gentleman very humbly said that he didn’t know wine well and got the bartender for us. She was very knowledgeable in the wines and suggested a port. My wife couldn’t decide and asked the bartender to choose for her. Obviously her choice was perfect because it went gloriously with the desert. We had planned on spending about $300 before the tip and thought that’s what it would come to. It was only $250. That included an appetizer to share, two soups that were excellent, our main dishes that included a salad, main course and a side, two deserts and she got a glass of wine and a port and I got a cognac. The only improvement, which wouldn’t deter me ever from recommending the pepper tree, would be to play some soft music in the background. We will return, and bring friends with us when we can. Thank you, everyone at pepper tree for making the evening memorable for my wife and I.
Last thing...there was no feeling of rushing. The evening went slow and deliberate. Everything was spaced out perfectly. From the drinks to the desert and the bill.
