It is always a great dining experience at the Pepper Tree. Great views and food! Many dishes prepared at table-side.

Food was very good, but grossly overpriced. Over $60 for a steak that only comes with a cheap salad and a choice of a baked potato, pasta or wild rice. That’s it. For $60+. Avoid the king crab cocktail. It’s $25 for literally 6-8 small cubes of crab that was soaked in cocktail sauce in a bow stuffed with lettuce, avocado and cocktail sauce to hide the fact that they don’t even give you a full crab legs worth of meat.
Sangria was great. Chef special steak had great flavor and the salmon was good. Highly recommend the dill vinaigrette. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy and quiet. All those good things in consideration, it’s not worth the outrageous price. Dressing your servers in suits and have them cook table side doesn’t automatically make it fine dining at top dollar prices.

Clearly this is one of the best steak houses and restaurants around. I've now been there twice and this time had their famous Pepper Steak. It was wonderful. Can't wait to go back to try their ribeye.

First time here and very much enjoyed this dining experience! It was a very special occasion and the staff were over the top congratulatory! Had a minor mix up with our order but they were accommodating in making it right. Highly recommended

My husband and I would put Pepper Tree at the top of the dining experiences in Colorado Springs. We choose this restaurant for birthdays, New Year’s Eve, and other special occasions. The wait staff is knowledgeable, friendly and has the longevity of service to know how to treat customers with an elegant touch. We would not hesitate to recommend the Pepper Tree to anyone looking for an unparalleled dining experience.

Waiter told us specials which sounded good but did not tell us cost so we ordered from menu where we knew price. We did order a wine recommended but it was $20 a glass.
So elegant, good food but pricey.
Wait staff was very friendly and excellent service.?

Come to Colorado Springs annually from NC. For a vacation. This steakhouse is the best. Tried them all. Tender steaks that melt into your mouth. Service is impeccable. Nice views of the city at night.

We were given a gift certificate for Pepper Tree from our daughter and son-in-law for Christmas. They had gone there and said it was the best food they've ever had. We went for a late anniversary celebration and agree with them. Not only was the food outstanding but the view of the lights of downtown Colorado Springs after dark combined with the ambiance of the restaurant to make for a memorable evening. We recommended it when someone asked for an idea of a nice thank you gift. I plan on asking my husband for another anniversary dinner at the Pepper Tree again!

Very expensive, but food and service compensated for the cost. Disappointed that I was charged $2.50 extra for five anchovie "fillets" for my Ceasar salad. Bring credit card and enjoy special evening. Not your every Friday night kind of place.

I booked the reservation on Opentable and it was easy and I got a confirmation on my phone immediately. It was our anniversary so I wanted a fine dining experience. We arrived at 5:20 for our 6:00 reservation and was seated promptly. We had a corner table, which was cozy. Ask for a window table beforehand. The view was nice even in the corner table. Being a fine dining experience I felt over dressed in a suit. Some of the patrons dressed very casually, with jeans and polo while the wait staff where dressed in tuxedos. They where very attentive but not overbearing. We where approached by several staff and they where more casual than I expected but still professional. They all where waiting on all the tables so there was no one waiter for the table. One gentleman came over to tell us the specials and took our order. I got the Peppersteak and my wife the Steak Diane. Both where prepared table side by another waiter while we ate our house salad. We had a glass of red wine and enjoyed the ambiance. It was not loud and you could talk to the people at your table easily. The steak was very good. Both are filet mignon that are seared and flambéd with a delicious cream sauce for the Steak Diane and the Peppersteak had a bold pepper sear with a mango chutney topping. Both cooked medium well- to perfection. Expect to spend a couple of hours and $150 to $200 on the evening out. It was well worth it and I will do it again.

Made reservations at a window table to overlook the city as the website says. Was looking forward to it for weeks. The service wasn’t great except for Joshua who took pretty good care of us when others walked past. The place is dated, stuffy and dark which is fine but felt small and dirty since it’s so outdated and dark. The table side services going on around us was kind of annoying since the carts don’t leave room for all the wait staff to walk around. I felt uncomfortable sitting there as people with trays of food/drink had to stand around me waiting to get by. The worst part, and most unforgivable part is that I went to a STAEKHOUSE and ordered STEAK. It was not prepared correctly. Not just mine, but my wife’s was raw as well. They were ordered medium and came out cold and bloody in the center. We sent them back and received them in the basic same condition, only hotter. Did they microwave my steak to hope to cook it!? All it did was make it hot. They did apologize and paid for our cocktails but I made a special date and reservations for a place I planned to spend $200-$300 for and couldn’t even get what I hoped for by going there. I do not plan to return, I am adamant about going to a restaurant for what they specialize in and getting it right. This isn’t Applebee’s where you pay $10 for a slab of meat. These were $60 dishes that were sent out without care about how it turned out. Peppertree should be ashamed.
