Enjoyed the Caesar salads, spinach/ artichoke dip and beef stew soup. The bruschetta was good but bread a little too thick and hard without enough oil so hard to eat. Overall, excellent service even though very busy. Drinks were great. Loved the view. Thank you!

Our server Mia was excellent. The food was very good, although we would have benefited from more information about portion sizes. My wife ordered a salad and the meatloaf entree. As it turned out, the salad was an entree-sized salad and the meatloaf appeared to be made from an entire pound of meat, and also came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. It was all good but it was also a ridiculous amount of food and much of it went to waste. Perhaps unlike American diners to protest getting too much to eat, but there really is such a thing as too much.

The drinks were very good. The food was good as well and the dessert was delicious. The view of course can’t be beat. My husband in particular had the best meal he’d had in ages.

Bruschetta was delicious with the balsamic glaze being wonderful and full of flavor. Husband ordered the BBQ Pork Mac and Cheese which had cold onion rings and sun-par warmed pork. My Spaghetti Puttanesca was cold along with the sliced chicken on it. Very disappointed in the quality considering the price. After returning my spaghetti I ordered the Mac and cheese dish my husband had and after 15 minutes of waiting canceled the order. Manager came over to "see if anything was wrong" and it went south from there. Jose tried to say that my new order was expedited- ummmm, no. Never got it. Lighting was obnoxiously bright over our table when we sat down and flickered heavily when dimmed, 30 minutes after we were seated. Not the experience we had hoped. Probably will come back for the bar only. Service was extremely slow and it wasn't busy for a Monday night.

Food is really bad. My steak was over cooked and zero flavor, entrees were dropped while we still had dirty dishes on the table from our first course and no help was offered to clear it . Our server was nice and courteous, but for the price they need to have better table maintenance and better food quality.

The hostess could have been nicer. I asked her if there was seating available outside and she said do you see any tables outside? Where are you supposed to sit? Instead of just saying no there isn’t any outside sitting. When she was taking us to our table. She just walked away and didn’t tell us to follow her. It seemed like she was causing tension with the other employees. Our server was very nice. Although the food wasn’t bad, it wasn’t the caliber that they describe on the website. And the pricing was way overpriced.

The Peaks is a very nice experience. The tram ride, nighttime views, ambiance, and service were top notch. Nearly every table has excellent views of the valley below. We shared an excellent Caesar salad (large portion). I had the pork osso bucco which was large, flavorful, and very tender, as it should be. The broccolini was perfect. But the food was just warm, not hot. My bride of 32 years enjoyed a flavorful ribeye steak, but it was not 14 ounces and was quite thin for $54. So, the food was good, but not excellent. Reservations are made on Open Table. Ours was for 5:45pm, but when we arrived The Peaks had our reservation for 6:15pm. We each showed the other the reservation times. Not sure how that became mixed up, but it worked out in the end because while we were waiting for our table, it changed again on the Open Table app to 5:30pm. The views and service (thank you Francis and Gabrielle!) went a long way to make it a special evening.

Made reservations a month in advance and bought tram tickets and parking. We arrived at tram day of reservation to find out restaurant is closed that day due to a mechanical issue on tram earlier in day that didn’t allow staff and supplies to get up to restaurant to be ready for dinner. Would have been nice if someone had called us and given us some options. Called and left messages to see if we could reschedule and no one returned our calls. Terrible customer service and unprofessional

The restaurant its of course beautiful. It's a lovely experience. Taking the tram, having dinner and enjoying the breathtaking view. Priceless. We had some issues with the service. The waiter was not bad, but they RUSH YOU SO MUCH. Like, bringing the main course while you are eating the starter, and they push you out all the time, they rush rush rush. And its like, come on, I waited two hours to get into the airtram, I'm spending more than 300 dollars here. At least, let me eat in more than 20 minutes. Definitely something to improve.

When we arrived at the hostess table the bartender said someone would be with us shortly- we waited 10-15 minutes for someone to come & at least acknowledge us. We made it to our table aprox 10 minutes afterwards. There was a short time btwn being seated & our server to come, he was apologetic as he said he didn’t know we were in his section- no problem. It was a Christmas gift to our adult daughter visiting from canada to come up the tram to dinner - we ordered drinks & the bruschetta as an appetizer and were told they were sold out, when my husband asked if there was anything else sold out, our server said the meatloaf (which is what my husband wanted), sadly we cut our stay short, ordered a dessert & headed back down the tram. It was raining & you couldn’t see anything so sadly it was a disappointing experience. We’ve been coming to the desert for 15 years and decided it was time to experience the tram & have a nice dinner. Sadly a total miss.

We were pleasantly surprised at the service and food! The steaks we ordered were prepared correctly and juicy. The Pork Osso Bucco was fall off the bone tender and a very large portion. The smoke Gouda Pork Max & Cheese was also very flavorful and memorable! Next time I will come during the summer for more light in the evening to enjoy the views.

Food is excellent and the view is beautiful. Staff is friendly and attentive. Prices are high, but then again they are having to ship the supplies up the mountain. The only negative is the stress of trying to get there. Tram tickets / reservations are a separate system and not easy to obtain, so it's stressful not knowing if you'll be able to get to top for your lunch/dinner reservation. We arrived 3 hours early thinking we might hike a little and instead only made it to lunch with 5 mins to spare for our reservation. They were turning people away at the road entrance an hour after we made it to base....

We went for Christmas dinner. There were 6 in our party. I would love to be able to say that it was because of the holiday that everything was so bad, but I truly don’t think it was. The restaurant itself was not busy, yet our service was horrible. Our waitress was kind and apologetic. Our appetizer - spinach artichoke dip - was cold and coagulated. You couldn’t even spoon it out. All of our food came out cold. Everything. I wouldn’t have minded the cost of everything if it had been enjoyable. The noise from the Pines Restaurant was overbearing as well. The ambience was zero. After paying so much for parking, the tram up, and then the overall disappointing overpriced meal, I can honestly say this will never happen again. and for that I am disappointed. I thought maybe it could be our new Christmas Day tradition. No thanks!

We had a Christmas dinner, scheduled for 1PM. We got there early and they seated us. We were able to order off the menu (all 4 of us did) vs the advertised set meal. Waitress got our drinks quickly. We got appetizers quickly and meal was ordered quickly. Everyone ‘s meal was great. Deserts were very good. I would go there again.

The food was average and the service was on the slower end. We were helped by a server and a manager, but waited at least 15 minutes to order drinks and appetizers. The food was upscale cafeteria food - better just ordering from The Pines. To boot there was a mouse in the animal vignettes set up in the restaurant-apparently it’s the cost of being in nature…even though you’re inside.

We were there around sunset and it was wonderful! The food (Duck and Pork) was excellent, very tender and tasty. The wine and cocktails were very good, as well. Wait staff were attentive but not intrusive. The only thing I can call a disappointment was the inside lighting was too strong. It was hard to see the view of the valley because of the glare of the lights on the window. But that was a minor thing. Hoping to go back up with the family in the future.

Incredible venue. However, when we arrived, we saw just a few tables were seated, the rest were empty. We were a party of 6, ready for plenty of drinks, and a meal. Unfortunately, they were not able to seat us, because we didn't have a reservation. We went on open table, and made a reservation for the next 15 minute time slot. When we returned after making a reservation, we couldn't be seated, even though we had a reservation, because they weren't expecting us. While we waited in the foyer, and countless others were turned away for not having a reservation, we guided these potential patrons to also make a reservation on open table. One group of 4, traveling from abroad, didn't have open table app - I offered to call in a phone reservation for them, but unfortunately the phone wasn't answered, by the hostess that was standing next to it. Finally we were seated, had a drink, ordered some mediocre food, but we were worn out, and out of time. Before leaving, we noticed the restaraunt had filled a few more tables....with people that had been turned away, but that we had coached to make a reservation on open table. I can't imagine this is how management wants things run. Seems so logical and simple....fill the tables, keep the drinks and food flowing, restaurant makes money, wait staff makes better tips, and customers want to return. We were disappointed.

My husband are traveling celebrating my semi-retirement and we looked forward to a lovely lunch atop Mount Jacinto. We arrived early and yet the receptionist gracefully accommodated an earlier seating and also was able to get us a fabulous table and view. Our servers were excellent, on top of all our requests and went out of their way to make our time special. Food was great.
