The burger I ordered was completely burnt and not edible (ordered it medium), The beef patty and bacon both. Also would have liked more menu choices or at least more variety with the sides they came with.

Bruschetta appetizer had way too much garlic on it. Spinach salad with chicken was delicious. Service was ok-we had a delay in Service initially due to they did not know who was assigned to our table.

We were seated at 2 different tables that were so askew that our water glasses were sliding on both.
Our waiter forgot our soups and then asked if we wanted them at the end of our meal as dessert. Very odd. My filet mignon was supposed to be medium rare and came out hard and grey. A new steak was brought out 30 minutes later. Waiter was clueless

Our waitress was so very nice, and the food arrived in a short time. It was delicious, the meat very tender.

One member in our dinner party ordered the meatloaf, they were "out of meatloaf "and it was only 5:30 p.m. My husband ordered the steak, it was too tough to cut, much less chew. He ate the potatoes and asparagus only, fortunately he was not charged for the meal, the steak was not edible. The guests at the table next to us stated they ordered two entrees and one dessert but were told they "ran out" of all three items ordered. We felt sorry for our server, it was not her fault, she was in a tough spot but handled it well. We will not be back to Peaks.

We usually avoid tourist spots or restaurants with a view because the food is usually overpriced and sub-par. Unfortunately, despite the good reviews, we found this to be the case at Peak. The restaurant overlooks the valley although there were clouds that evening so there was no view but I'm sure it can be spectacular. We did have great views from the tram on both the way up and the way down. The restaurant is adjacent to a very busy (and loud) cafeteria and although there was nice music playing, there is a lot of ambient noise. It was also VERY drafty inside and we were cold, even while keeping our coats on, and our food got cold very quickly after it was delivered. We ordered one appetizer (flatbread with brie and apricots and reduced balsamic) which was liked by half of our party. We had one burger, one pork chop, one pasta primavera, one chimichurri steak and one beer (we had wine from the outside bar that we brought in with us) and our dining bill was over $180. All four of our meals were bland and unremarkable, which didn't fit the price tag. Our server started off a bit rude but the service did improve with the meal. We all regretted not taking the tram down and going out to dinner in Palm Springs where there's a great variety of fabulous restaurants at half the cost of this one. I wish that I'd read a review like mine before booking a table (the restaurant WAS sold out and so it was necessary to make a reservation).

Overall visit was pleasant except for the food, particularly the prime rib, it was tough like rubber, it was over cooked, dessert was ok, a little too sweet for my taste, soup was ok too. Fortunately, our server was awesome.

One of the best dinning experiences ever. The food was good, well done, fresh, and enough, not overwhelming sizes. The service was very good, fast and friendly.
Of course, the views took the Gold medal! I will go back again and again!

We had low expectations given reviews, but we were visiting Palm Springs and Joshua Tree and wanted a fun trip with hiking and a decent sit-down dinner. Food was OK but the experience is what we were looking for. Compared to the nasty food at the food court, this was the best option. Stick with the simple foods like the Pasta and Chicken.

Make sure to get reserved tram tickets online and a restaurant reservation; otherwise, be prepared to wait an hour for the first available tram. But worth the wait.

It is always special to come here for dinner. The food is excellent and the view is scenic. On this trip, we also enjoyed the Christmas tree lighting and the choir. The decorations were beautiful and the experience made it feel more like Christmas to us who live in the desert.

Not a good value for the price. They brought out one entree without the other two. I wouldn’t have expected that based on the prices. A few other issues.

The meatloaf was good, but wasn’t hot.
Don’t order the pasta. My wife didn’t like it at all. The pasta was saba noodles. That’s usually use in ramen noodles. Our waitress Kim was fabulous she accommodated us very well. Go there in the daytime, probably see more, especially the ride up, at night you don’t see much except for the city lights.

Wife and I went here in the evening for our anniversary. We have been up the tram a few times since moving here and gone hiking, but never at night. The view was spectacular, and there were far less crowds than during the day. The service was very good and attentive. The food was perhaps not five star quality (this is an outpost, after all where they haul everything up the tram), but it was tasty, generous, and prepared well (I had a rib-eye, and the pizza app was good!). We left shortly after 7 with about a dozen folks on that particular tram car. We all sang to the music on the way down ('Stand By Me', 'My Girl', etc.). Really a lot of fun.

getting there is fun and perfectly organized.. Exciting time in the aerialm tram, amaizing in fact! We reserved a dinner for 5 at 6pm at Peak, expecting great food. Honestly, its a limited menu, pricey ( i dont mind paying for good food, but this was very over priced). Views and site are wonderful, worth the trip, but just eat at the Cafe, youll enjoy...

If it was my restaurant, it would be a culinary opportunity, you have a chance to charge for it, but not the other way around..

hopefully they will improve the quality

Had reservations for Thanksgiving menu. But they ran out of cranberry sauce for the turkey, and carrot cake so only dessert option was pumpkin pie which was over cooked and about 1/4 inch deep. Overall poor quality and no offer of a discount of other options.

No bread offered until we had to ask, burnt and shriveled up pumpkin pie , Vegetables undercooked, and nothing really different for the money than the cafeteria food in the next room. All for $40 a head so a waiter could serve us nd get a tip. We felt ripped off.

We went last year and it was so much better from service to food preparation.

Not sure we’ll waste our time again however.

Thanksgiving dinner at Peaks could have easily been a disaster due to the overcrowded lifts and the lodge itself. However, the logistics of getting to the lodge on time for our reservation went remarkably well. The restaurant ambiance was laidback and orderly (although tourists wandered aimlessly through the tables from time-to-time). The service was quite good, attentive, but not rushed. One of our party ordered the traditional Thanksgiving meal which far surpassed their expectation of precooked and warmed over dishes. In fact, the vegetables were exactly right, and the turkey and other sides were fresh and succulent. The only complaint was the pumpkin pie which appeared to be a frozen store-bought product. Pre-dinner cocktails were inventive and delicious; a respectable wine list (although, no favorites of mine). We do intend to return to Peaks again, but on a less-trying date.

The Thanksgiving meal was underwhelming. The soup and turkey dinner was served only mildly warm as if it has been dished out and was sitting and waiting on the counter long before it was actually served to our table.

We have been visiting Peaks every year now for the last four years for our anniversary. We went the first time just on a whim because we thought it would be fun to take the tram up to the top of the mountain and have dinner but were pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of food and the service staff that we found at the restaurant. Every year we return on your anniversary now as a tradition and our meal is always memorable and of the best quality possible… Many people think that the restaurant might be more tourist oriented because of its location however that could not be farther from the truth… This is probably one of the nicest dining experiences in the Palm Springs area! And the double cut pork chop is the most amazing that I’ve ever had anywhere! Peaks will satisfy even the most discriminating foodie!
