Founded in 1913, this family-run, Italian-Creole restaurant is located in uptown New Orleans. It is famous for creating barbecued shrimp.

This neighborhood restaurant is vintage New Orleans, from the service to the decor. The oyster bar is always manned by a friendly shucker. The oysters are fresh, salty, and delicious.

The old time oyster bar and cocktail bar offers raw oysters on the half shell and all types of cocktails. We offer fine seafood, Italian specialties, and delicious steaks.

Restaurant was understaffed. Our waiter took our order about 15 minutes after we were seated, and took the orders of a table of 6 seated next to us. An hour later, the table next to us had not only received their orders, but were wrapping up their dinner. We were still waiting on our food, a table of 2 adults, a 4 year old and infant. After trying to flag down our avoidant waiter, he assured me that we’d be getting our food next. I’d lost any appetite by then, only to be gaslit by the manager who seemed to have been unfamiliar with any accountability or accommodation. Icing on the cake was when I was told my order was only put in 35 minutes ago…what’s it to me if he decided to take another tables’ order first? I was also told how busy the restaurant was as if their staffing problem of 2 waiters to a large dining room of over 20 tables during peak dinner hours had anything to do with me. We left after being offered or check in full amount. This would have been my Mother’s Day dinner. Not a comped soft drink in sight.

I have been a number of times and historically had always made it a stop when in NOLA. Last night changed that. The service was terrible. The waiter made us uncomfortable. He took 30 minutes to ask what we wanted to drink. Then when I asked if we could order drinks he said “ have empathy”. He didn’t know the food. Couldn’t tell us what was on the olive salad. Just not a good experience.

The barbecue shrimp did not disappoint even though it’s been over 20 years since the last time I had it. The quality remains. The service was impeccable.

As tourists this was our only visit, so our experience may not be typical, We had a delicious meal, and a very good waiter, but could not really talk because of being seated directly next to two room long tables of very loud groups. These two long tables dominated the room from a space and sound standpoint. It was hard to evaluate what the ambiance of this restaurant is, but we definitely enjoyed the food!

We haven't been to Pascal's Manale in a while and wanted to try since it's under new management. The food was excellent, the service might need a few kinks ironed out like drink refills and delivering bbq'd shrimp with no bread. My only pet peeve was the old fashioned I ordered. I'm beginning to doubt seriously if it actually had bourbon in it, and was seriously lacking. I'd go back for the food, but maybe stick with a beer.

I had the Chicken Picatta and was excellent .. our table all commented this was our best food experience at Manale’s… and of course the atmosphere is always great

Legendary restaurant, but not pleased with the food or service. Turtle soup was served warm but not hot. Best thing about their food was the wonderful New Orleans French bread.
