EVERYTHING was wonderful about this restaurant. Love the atmosphere: upscale, quiet, comfortable. Service was top notch and the food is absolutely delicious. Our new favorite in Sacramento!
Good lunch today. The place was bustling a bit during the lunch hour. Impressive that the food came out so quickly though. Service was good.
Food portions were so small :( Hostess wasn’t very friendly but waiter was great and very nice.
So sad to report that 2of our avocado, green chili omelets we’re missing the Monterrey cheese & any green chili flavor
Pleasant early lunch today. Their patio is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a meal. The ambiance is very serene and cozy.
Really enjoyed our recent meal at Paragary's. Despite its longtime stance in the Sac restaurant scene, my husband and I had never been there. I believe it used to be a very dark and clubby atmosphere, but although still dark (hard to read the menu), the decor was charming and refreshing. We ate inside, but the outdoor patio was lovely. We had the meatball appetizer, which was fine, not outstanding. The pear and persimmon salad was indeed outstanding. Husband had the beet salad, and we had salmon and pasta for dinner, all very good. Bar was nice as well. Wine list was not extensive, but well curated and well priced, with a few exceptions. Overall and very enjoyable meal, we will return!
Took my Father in law to Paragay's for his 89th birthday. I was looking forward to finally eating there. The atmosphere is very quaint, the staff was prompt, nice, and did a great job, but we were all kind of underwhelmed with the food. Other than the chopped salad, everything else was just kind of meh - which isn't what I expected. To have my Father in law say that the salmon at BJ's is better, was well - sad. The short rib ravioli was just too heavy and there wasn't anything on the dish, to help .. the meat was tender and very salty - it would have been better in puff pastry - the pasta was hard. My Mother in law had gone online to look at the menu - but we were told the menu isn't always updated online. Bummer.
Great service, our meals were delicious, drinks were made perfectly.
I was thoroughly surprised at how wonderful this experience was. I originally though the menu was very limited but I now understand that what the do offer is wonderful. The back garden is delightful and I cannot wait to go back for brunch to enjoy it during daylight.
I hadn't been to Paragary's in a couple of years and the food was just as spectacular as it was in July 2017. We sat outside and enjoyed the tranquil ambiance. Each dish was flavorful and beautifully composed. The one improvement that could be made is that our waiter did not even try accommodate a simple request. We wanted to order the mushroom and squash pizza with regular mozzarella instead of smoked, and when we asked about that possibility--politely--we were told something to the effect that it wasn't going to happen. He didn't even offer to ask the chef. My dining companion doesn't like smoked cheese and we didn't think this was an unreasonable request; apparently, it was. We had to order something else, which was also delicious, but not what we really wanted. Other than that little snafu, we had a lovely dining experience.
We had a fantastic dinner. Our server was wonderful - she knew exactly when to check in and when to leave us along to talk. I have never had anything but excellent experiences at Paragary's (we had our holiday party here and it was amazing.)
First time at Paragary's, excellent food, outstanding service. Tempo of service was spot on, able to enjoy the cuisine and atmosphere at a leisurely pace. Will definitely be back.
Really enjoyed this restaurant.
It was a beautiful evening on the patio. Who would have thought we could sit outside on the patio in early November. Jackson was our waiter and took great care of all six of us. I still love the mushroom salad.
Food was great but cold. We had 2 different servers, the girl was amazing, the guy needs definitely a good customer service training, he was so arrogant. Overall the experience was ok.
The ambiance was incredible!! Had to wait a long time for our meal and they weren’t busy at all!?
Very good food, service, and quality. A great choice before a theater event.
Our server did not pay attention to our requests (coffee, catsup). We got the attention of another server who was very helpful.
Beautiful restaurant, especially the patio. Menu included lots of options that looks great.
We sat inside and the Gnats would not leave us alone the entire evening...up our nose, around our food, face and wine. Hard to hold a conversation it was so distracting.
The food was wonderful aside from the stuffed ravioli. The meat and sauce was great but the ravioli itself was very tough. My parents enjoyed their potato soup and salmon. My husband loved the pork dish.
The server never introduced himself and we had to ask if there were any specials.. at one point I thought perhaps he was a bartender just covering our table.. He was completely unengaged.
Every other visit has been wonderful and the service stellar. Disappointed because it was my birthday and my parents were visiting from out of state and we raved about the restaurant to them.
Perhaps an off night.
Paragary’s is one of my all time favorite midtown spots. The food, drinks, and service are always top notch. Plus you can’t beat the patio.
One could never make a mistake choosing Paragary's or referring someone to Paragary's. It's a large and shining diamond in the area's restaurant-crown.
We had great food, service and atmosphere.
Nice atmosphere. Great food and drinks.
The food was cooked to perfection. The service is really great. The staff was friendly. The overall atmosphere was wonderful.
the food was wonderful. the service was wonderful, we had a great time. thank you so much
Superb service, excellent food with charismatic presentation!
Beautiful ambience however the food took an hour to arrive after order was placed and they seemed short staffed. Plates were not cleared in a timely manner and they failed to check in to see if we needed anything.
Excellent food and service. We really enjoy dining in their outdoor dining area
Hands down the best patio dining in Sacramento! Great food, excellent service and lovely ambiance inside and on their stunning outdoor patio!
Such a perfect place for a fancy date night. The food is devine, the service superb, and the ambiance always nice
Our server Brianna was exceptional. Tom the Manager was a gracious host. We’ve told all of our friends this is our new favorite spot!
Love this place - will always come back.
The ambiance is great. We loved the outdoor setting. Our server was fantastic. Checked back just the right number of times. He was engaged in his conversations with us. Whole experience was very enjoyable.
We’ve been dining at Paraguay’s since it opened. This is the first time I’ve ever had an issue. We had been served our food and I moved my plate out of the way to assist my husband cutting his food. He has Parkinson’s and sawing motions are difficult. I saw the server and manager watching and the manager came over to question us as to whether there was a problem. PD patients also may have intermittent balance issues. That may appear to have had one too many - when in fact it is just a momentary loss of balance. This embarrassed both us and I bring it up to make an awareness that PD has many symptoms and those struggling with it (as well as their friends and family) usually have a grip on it. Thank you for letting me try to explain a side of things of which many people are unaware.
They are one of the best examples of good service
We had a lovely evening at Paragary's. David, our waiter was wonderful. The food was exceptional. We chose this restaurant for its farm to table approach and were so pleased to see how fresh everything was and how creative the menu was. Will return.
The patio is amazing - it was a little chilly at brunch time in early autumn, so the fire was lit in the fireplace; together with the water fountains and greenery, it was almost magical. Food was excellent, as always, and service could not have been better.
We were a little taken aback when the host greeted us harshly because we were 5 minutes late.
All he said was "I was trying to text you to see if you were coming". B Street Theater let out a
few minutes late. No smile or welcome of any kind from him. He acted like he was doing us a
huge favor for seating us.
Amazing time with the family even though we could not sit outside!
We did not feel like valued customers to Paragary's.
We brought three very nice bottles of wine, two red and one white. We did not have the glasses changed with each new bottle.
Our food was very late in coming; the waitress, apologized and we said it was fine, however, when our food did come it was lukewarm. When Maria asked us about our food, we told her that it was lukewarm and she didn't say or do anything. That was okay; it wasn't her fault. However, when we got our bill we were charged corkage ($75) for all three bottle of wine ($25 each). In other "fine" restaurants, we have been comped on corkage for at least one bottle of wine, when we have had multiple bottles. Also, given the delay in the food, the tepid temperature, and the fact that we used the same wine glasses for all wines, we felt that we should have been given something "extra" as a good faith gesture on Paragary's part.
