We decided to sit at the bar this visit. Our bartender Jeff was amazing and took such good care of us. Of course, the food was fabulous as always!!
Exceptional service, great food and amazing atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Great birthday dinner right on the beach with heat lamps and good company.
We were able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean over lunch. Great service and lots of interesting and tasty menu choices.
It is consistently one of favorites in San Diego, Being right on the beach doesn't hurt either. Not cheap but you get a great meal and view. Their Seafood Paella is my pick of the meals.
Great venue but food was overly sweet and crab cakes looked like processed frozen food. Nothing subtle or delicate about their preparation. Great facility and good service. They charge for the location.
Great service. Good food. Beautiful view. Highly recommended
Nice view of beach of course. Food was excellent as was service.
I eat at a lot of restaurants locally and in my travels. This is one of the best run restaurants I’ve been to. Everything is working well- from the hosts, service, food, speed of service, hospitality, ambiance, decor, location, bathroom cleanliness and even the valet guys. Really a top class operation. It’s hard to maintain that. I hope they can.
Our servers, especially Erika, were amazing. We were a group of eight and we were well taken care of. Delicious food too!
Good food and the views of the ocean are outstanding
Waitress was just supper, made an excellent even better.
Food was bland, view was perfect. Service was very slow and not very attentive.
Pacific Coast Grill is a great restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is great. The ambiance is great. You can eat outside and enjoy the ocean, walk on the beach and see fabulous sunsets.
Ahi and poki dish was exceptional. The freshest I’ve had in a long time. The waiter and staff were very attentive
We were lucky and got a window table and sun set.
Pacific Coast Grill is our go-to restaurant for out of town visitors. Our persnickety NYC guests were more than impressed - and said their meals rivaled NYC fine dining! One guest was on a very strict diet and was easily accommodated without making too many changes to a prepared dish (not a salad). Our server was funny and attentive - offering us blankets if we were cold (our table was outside on the patio and a couple of heaters were on the fritz). The drinks & dishes arrived quickly. One filet was a little over done, but it was still tasty and a nice cut of meat. A beautiful sunset capped off a lovely evening and meal!
A friend in town
I got the braised pork belly with jalapeño potatoes au gratin, and shaved brussel sprouts. Delicious. Can’t wait to come back!
The location is amazing, right on the ocean. Food and service were excellent!
We were looking for a nice upscale eatery in the Solano Beach area and this was the spot. Our food and service were OUTSTANDING, definitely keep this place on the list for our next visit.
Fantastic if travelling to or from San Diego. Great place in the coast
I would not recommend this restaurant. Nice ocean view but everything else lousy. Can't have a conversation without yelling as it is so noisy. Food nothing the cheer about. Service lousy. Asked for bread with soup and the waiter said that it was on request. Sounds like McDonalds to me not a place you pay a minimum of $50 per person for a casual meal. I was so disappointed I will never return!
This is one of the few North County beachfront restaurants and the food, service and ambience is always great. This is a fun neighborhood place but also great for out of town guests.
Great food but you're paying for the view (which is gorgeous). Great place to go for special occasions. Too loud for those with hearing deficits.
We were seated promptly and our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was tasty, and of good portions. I had the chowder which had a good consistency and plenty of both seafood and veggies. I also had the Seafood Cobb which was scrumptious. My husband had the shrimp wontons which he said had an unusual although very palatable taste, followed by the fish and chips. The bottle of rose complemented the meal and was a nice light wine to have with lunch.
Food quality was okay, but view and ambiance very good.
The view was superb and the meal was excellent! We could not have had a nicer dinner
We had a wonderful meal on the heated patio right on the beach. The noise level in the restaurant was very loud, but outdoors, it was great.
Very nice place with friendly wait staff. Very good oysters on the half shell.
The three of us shared a couple of creatively prepared sushi rolls, super fresh beet salad, and calamari. We had a lovely view of the beach and enjoyed the "kinetic" view. Very professional waitstaff. Monday afternoon lunch was spectacular!
I don’t know why Opentable asks for ‘special occasions’ when the restaurants don’t even remember or care!!
Anyways, we had excellent food and drinks yesterday. We were here many months back for Mother’s Day and had terrible experience. I figured bad experience was because it was crowded and we ordered wrong dishes. Yesterday was perfect! Loved crab cakes and salmon! Service was pretty fast although patio was packed. It was perfect evening, right from valet to the end. Highly recommended. Our sever seemed little Hollywood ish, probably overqualified to be a waiter. No complains... just great food and ambience! Total 175 including gratuity and drinks. 2 adults 1 kid.
Tasty food, attentive service and a good value. The best part is the scenic sunset.
I heard a lot about this restaurant and other than the view I have nothing good to say about it. Food came out too fast. It was awful - lobster tacos was like tomato soup with a couple of pieces of lobster floating in it with tasteless beans and tortillas - couldn’t make a taco too soupy and didn’t taste good. We also had seafood pasta which was similarly tasteless. No seasonings allowed in this place. Other than the ocean view it has nothing to offer.
great sunset view from the upstairs patio and the food was outstanding! service was great as well.
Great local spot that feels upscale. The view can’t be beat!
The food was great as always. The crab cake appetizer is the best.
Had a very good meal with great service. But the noise level was intense and precluded conversation with anyone but the person directly next to me.
We sat outdoors, to celebrate a bday and enjoy the sunset. We got there a bit too early, and the sun was still pretty high. Our waitress assured us there was no rush. She was attentive, friendly, and very competent while she served several tables. We started with their sangria which we've enjoyed there before and love it. It's as good as ever, complex and nicely balanced. For his entree, my husband ordered the wild salmon which came on a bed of white sticky rice with a delicious light passion fruit sauce. We had ordered a crab and lobster on guac appetizer earlier and I saved about half of it to add to my salad as just a little seafood was all I wanted. (That and several bites of hubby's salmon.) We topped off our meal with a gf cheesecake. Overall, a delish meal in a wonderful setting and excellent service. This was maybe my fifth time at PCC, and today it became my new favorite restaurant.
PCG never disappoints. There is nothing from from Tijuana to Malibu that compares to the view. Grab the upper deck patio and watch the suns set. The special swordfish was wonderful. A hint of smoke with fresh vegetables and a high end glass of Cabernet and I go home a happy guy.
