Jenna! Simply the best server, ever. Saw an amazing sunset with food and drinks with our friends.
Excellent service, food and location. Gorgeous sunsets and ocean views
One of our favorites although loud music is keeping us from coming more often.
Great food, excellent service, extensive wine list and superb location and views
Great location and good food. We had a wonderful view of the ocean while we enjoyed the great menu options.
Great experience. It was raining & dark, but valet came to the car with a big umbrella. Even though it was dark because of the weather I was still able to see the waves, that’s how close you’re to the ocean.
The food was delicious. I had the sea bass. I will definitely go back to see the sunset when the weather is good. It’s worth the drive & the cost. $$.
We have noticed it is inconsistent and this time we didn't enjoy the food. The last time we went on a week day it was wonderful. This visit was a weekend. The service and view was great. Unfortunately, my favorite sea bass was not good this time.
The location is great, right on the beach with a gorgeous view but inside the restaurant was loud and hard to have a conversation. The food was good as was the service. This was a first time visit and had I known that it would be that loud inside I would likely have sought a different location. Perhaps the outside patio would be a better option in the summer months.
One of my favorite places in North County! Great food. Love the beach/ocean view. Easy valet parking.
The food was delicious as always. Can't beat wonderful food and an ocean view.
Wait staff was perfect as well as the valets.
Our server was wonderful in every sense. She had a lot to do with an awesome customer experience!
Always loved that place in the old location. Now the oceanfront location makes it unbeatable. Hope they will maintain once they have doubled their size...Love it...
Great dining experience. The staff was friendly and came around frequently to make sure our glasses were filled. The food was amazing!
Great service and view
The food was delicious but the restaurant is very noisy.
Food and drinks were delicious. View was terrific. Very nice night out with our out of town guest.
Food is good and the location is great. Overpriced and noisy.
We asked for upstairs patio when making reservation knowing this could not be guaranteed. Upon arrival we were told it was not available due to private event. Why were we not advised it would not be available anyway when we made he reservation two days before?
We enjoyed a late afternoon lunch on a warm winter day watching the waves ebb and flow and people walking their dogs before going to the Belly Up.
The food was very good. We ordered the ahi and the seabass. Both were wonderfully prepared.
We will definitely go back again.
always perfect. Great food, great service, best view in San Diego
Had an outstanding experience at PCG! The service was great, wine was top notch, and I highly recommend the sea bass to anyone. Views of the ocean created an excellent ambiance and was a perfect date night spot!
Went there for the views. Stayed for the food and drinks.
Service was excellent.
Only down side is the paid valet parking. No options for parking except for the public lot next door which was full.
Ocean views galore. Fresh, new feeling and excellent food. Real California coastal dining.
The noise level made it difficult to converse. The food, although good, was not nearly as good as it has been in the past. The service, however, was excellent.
Beautiful view, right on the beach and delicious food, friendly service.
We were seated in a side dining room that was ridiculously loud. The cocktails and service were very good, but the food was just average. I think this is a great place for lunch, but not dinner.
We loved this place. The sea food (we each selected a different type/entrée) was fresh and cooked with care and attention. I chose the west coast "Paella"; there were so many seafood components (no chicken), and NONE was overcooked (rubbery). Excellent!
The food was delicious and the service was impeccable!
We have been here many times before. We were surprised how poor both the food and service was this time. My wife couldn’t cut her ahi tuna with a knife when usually a fork will suffice. My Asian dish was so salty it burned. Three of the four of us left the majority of our meals on our plate. The waiter never stopped by once to ask how it was. Not once. My wife would have sent hers back. He showed with the check after being absent and said to my 6 year old, the only empty plate (plain pasta) and said how was your meal. Didn’t ask the adults. I left a 9% tip which I have never done but both the food and service were bad.
We thoroughly enjoyed PCG while in California vacation!
The place is great . Atmosphere awesome. Only issue I had and did not complain ~ I was there with a friend I had not seen in over 20 years, had requested a table at the front by the water . I was there 20 min early and was told to go upstairs and they would come find me, no one ever did. I was seated at a a table int he corner with a partial view , when my friend got there I had given my name to them for them to come find me , he waited downstairs for over 30 min , so finally by text we met up .
I had ordered a extra dirty martini and there blue cheese olives ~ was served a reg house martini with three mushy gross olives
He ordered two beers and got one and the other one never came and we ordered him another one and charged for three .
We both ordered soup , it was very cold and waitress did not come back for some time so we just ate it and laughed about what a beautiful place it is , and so much potential bit poor drinks and cold food.
I had asked for a special occasion desert , never came.
we gave up . enjoyed each others company and went on ,,
We are not young ~ we are in out 50's and not just complaining for nothing , the gentleman I was with has been in the bar and restaurant business for 30 years.
Your place and I would recommend it. It just sucks to have a $153 bill and $35 tip and get poor drinks and cold food and no celebration desert . Out of our ethic on dining out
I will be back ,,,,but will be a little more picky this time
Really upset. Made special reservations while my mother was in town. Got here early (4:00pm) with reservation at 5:00. Requested special seating outside when made reservation. Arrived early and they said they would seat us at 4:30pm. Come 5:00 they had let random people from the bar take the special seating outside even though they wouldn't seat us with a reservation.
Did not go and tell the randos without reservations to move. Let us wait watching randos on their phones instead of ordering dinner. So ridiculous. Finally sat at 5:05 so 35 minutes later than confirmed and waitress ignored us.
Poor poor service. Haven't even ordered our food. Sitting here neglected and hour and a half after arriving. Won't be back. Super disappointed.
Update: lobster bisque = potato soup. Not good.
Great place to have dinner and watch the sun set. The food was good and the service was excellent. It is closed to our house, so we will be back.
Great service , food and location
Celebrated my friends birthday by having brunch here. The service was good and the food was absolutely to die for!! Not to mention the beautiful view, can’t get any closer to the beach because you’re already on it! Definitely will come back
Had relatives from the midwest in took them to Pacific Coast grill. The entire experience was outstanding. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Our go to place to impress anyone.
Celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday; perfect evening, comfortable booth with Southern Cali sun sent. Food was every bit outrageous as we have come to expect from Pacific Coast Grill. Started with cocktails and half order of oysters, delicious little local fellows, fresh beet salad split for two. My beautiful wife chose 6oz. Filet with 8oz. Lobster and left not a morsel to bring home. I chose Salmon, first time I tried at PCG and it was perfectly prepared, generous portions served with rice and vegetables. Managed a second cocktail and passed on dessert. The only disappointment is we wont be back till next month! FIVE STARS
Always a plus. However, a few of the food items recently are not up their caliber
Staff always nice as well as valet. Ambience good. Thank you
