    We visited for Fathers Day dinner, from the moment we stepped foot in the door, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The food was fresh and well prepared. Our waiter, Tyler, was on point with food and drink suggestions. We enjoyed our date night with the kids and will visit again.

    My wife and I took hosted friends who had never been to Oystercatchers. They enjoyed the service, the scenery (we sat outside), and their dishes. My wife and I were taken aback both by the NUMBER of changes to the menu since we'd last visited (January of this year) and the NATURE of the changes. Let's start with the most shocking - THE PORK SHANK IS GONE. This change affected me more than my wife because I'm a big man, so fish tends not to be filling for me. The pork shank was my goto dish, and consequently, the thing that I would rave about the most to people who had not tried it. Additionally, the bread with the smoked salt is also gone from the menu. While this is not nearly as big a deal as the pork shank, the smoked salt was a great touch and very tasty. Finally, let's talk about some of the "new" additions: fried green tomatoes and...a cheeseburger?! Seriously? Whose idea was a $24 cheeseburger? I hate to tell you this, but you could do better at Red Robin, Glory Days, or even Smashburger for the money and value. Our waitress was excellent (the service is always excellent at Oystercatchers), and she informed us that because there is a new chef, there's a new menu. Consequently, what was my favorite restaurant and go to spot for entertaining friends and guests has changed rather drastically. I had difficulty making a selection. I ended up getting the scallops (a foolish move for me) they were delicious and devoured in less than a minute. Fortunately, one of our guests didn't want all of her cheeseburger, so I had half of her burger. The desert menu also fell victim to the changes. My go to desert is the key lime pie, that has been changed to now include strawberries. I somewhat enjoyed this change as the sweetness of the strawberry complements the tart of the lime. Ultimately, we are not too thrilled with the new direction of Oystercatchers. We will most likely explore other options for now, but we are open to returning the road.

    Our food was delicious, our longtime server Charles was great and checked in with us, but our server was rude, dismissive and inattentive to our family for no apparent reason, catering to a large table behind us.

    Outstanding choices on the menu with a sensational and beautiful lady serving us (Diane).... she is an absolute asset to the restaurant. Your oyster selections are always fresh and shucked immaculately. The pork belly is the best in the Tampa Bay area, and the calamari schnitzel is spectacular. Will return over and over again. I'm looking forward to the busy season and the return of your brunches.

    I hadn’t been to Oystercatchers in years. I was still very impressed. Of course, the location is one big reason. The views over the water are beautiful. Our server (Zack) was personable and knowledgeable of the entire menu in detail. I got the Wood Grilled Big Eye Tuna—incredible. And I got half dozen oysters and a side (coffee roasted beets—unique and delicious!). My husband got the filet mignon and loved it. We’ll definitely be back!

    Had a great experience with the pool bar service and then dinner at 6:30 pm what a great place food was spot on had the scallops that were delicious. I had the same waiter that weights on me every time. I’m in town for years. Thanks again for making a great experience.
