Beautiful ambiance. Nice menu selection. We had a great time!
Absolutely fabulous time. Food is great and so is the setting. Kitchen seemed to be a little slow as we were a party of 6 and it took 2 hours to get in and out for lunch service. We were in no rush luckily.
Best scallops in Tampa Bay.
The food is excellent, service is attentive but the best part is the view - spectacular sunset!
Food, ambiance & service were fantastic.
We were sat in the back room in a corner next to a large table of probably 15 people who proceeded to get louder and louder throughout the night. We ended up rushing through our meal just to get out of there so we could hear each other.
We love the restaurant and the food but this was not a great experience.
We had reservations and were seated early. It is a very popular venue so very crowded. The wait staff was AMAZING!! The food is unusual and very tasty. There is live music but it was hard to enjoy over the noise (as I said, very busy) . Would still recommend and will go again!
Sunday brunch was excellent - the service and food quality were great.
"Oystercatchers is our favorite restaurant, especially their Sunday Brunch, it never disappoints. Great food, outstanding service and wonderful ambiance. The best choice for Sunday Brunch in Tampa Bay!
The food presentations, service provided, atmosphere and ambiance was nothing short of spectacular.
The salads were a great option if you are vegan. Please dont take a slab of tofu and slap it on the grill and expect it to be good. Tofu is very bland, so it should be marinated and seasonefld well. Service was good. Food not so good.
Fresh fish, beautiful surroundings, good service - will definitely come back!
We had an overall wonderful experience at Oystercatchers. The food and the atmosphere was outstanding. The service was very poor. In a high end, fine dining restaurant we would’ve expected trained servers. The glasses were dirty, we had to ask them to change it. The server forgot to ask our guests for drinks. We also ordered a bottle of wine but our glasses were never filled and the ice bucket was about 3 tables away.... However, the food was delicious and the atmosphere made it up for us!
Nice location. Food was OK, but not amazing. Quite expensive.
Don and David were our serves and they were excellent. Don knew the wine list and menu well and made great recommendations. The location and view is great at sunset and the food was stupendous. The pan grilled grouper was delicious. The lobster tail was well prepared and fresh. Excellent meal, great vistas.
Fantastic Seafood - tuna was braised - perfectly cooked to medium rare with a crust.
Soups salads and pasta on the side were fantastic
The food was incredible. Pricy but honestly worth it. Had crab cakes and ahi for appetizer. Brother had whole roasted yellowtail snapper with Brussels and I had the seafood platter which was outrageous. After a couple martinis and wine I forget what the dessert was. Something yummy, chocolaty and cheesecake. I think it was goatcheese cheese cake!!! You gotta go!
Nice views, enjoyed the oysters Rockefeller, the whole yellowtail fish was crispy yet moist inside also enjoyed the Seafood Mix
Diane was excellent, very attentive. She was courteous, and professional. We were slightly disappointed with the Turkey (dry), and the beef was chewey. We will be back however.
Make sure you don’t get put in the annex. This is the 6th time we have been to brunch here and took friends who had not been there before and the whole
Occasion was spoiled by the noise level which was a major issue. I made management aware of it but no real response from them other than a sorry. This is an expensive brunch and was very disappointed this time.
Every bite was delectable. Out of this world. I gave 4 on ambience only because the live music was too loud and the whole place was too loud but otherwise views of Tampa Bay unsurpassable.
Waitress rushed us to leave and get check. Didn’t appreciate that part of service. Food was great.
Excellent place for brunch. A little bit pricey but service was great.
Sunday Brunch was exceptional. Large food choice. great mimosas and bloody marys
I ordered the whole fish, yellow tail snapper as usual and the portion size was extremely small and the potatoes and Brussels were not hot and honestly not very good at all, compared to my previous experiences at Oystercatchers. The service was very slow and not nearly as attentive as in the past. Overall, very disappointed with the meal, service and price. I will not be in a hurry to go back.
It was great but service was a good not great and it was VERY expensive
Had a reservation for four and requested an outside table so that we we could dine while watching the sun set for a birthday dinner. After waiting 45 minutes while they "cleaned off a table", we watched countless people walk in from the pool area and be seated outside immediately. We eventually asked for an inside seat and magically the outside became available. When we were finally seated, we saw at least three to four tables that were open and available that we could've been sat at well prior. I wouldve rather they had just told us "we forgot about your party because you were sitting quietly in the corner". Service at the table was great, but the food was very average for a meal we spent close to $400 (after tip) on. For that type of money give me Eddie V's or Bern's every day of the week. View was fantastic, too bad it was pitch black by the time we got seated. Would not waste that type of money there again.
Food and service were great! Only negative was the misting fans. It wasn’t hot and the humidity from the fans made our skin and clothes damp. One server turned the closer fan off but another turned it back on saying it kept the bugs away. Did not enjoy that!
The experience was overall excellent.
Lovely lunch on the patio before catching our afternoon flight. Patio looks out over Tampa Bay and you can see fish jumping, osprey fishing, etc. Great spot.
I usually love Oystercatchers but everything was just ok. Nothing special this time around. We ordered the Octopus appetizer, and it was extremely chewy and lacked more in depth flavors. Everything else we ordered was somewhat similar. I have expecting better flavor profiles in each dish but just lacked. I feel that Oystercatchers brunch is the best thing they have going for them right now. Maybe they are following in Armani's footsteps on going downhill with their food and the flavors. But they can do better!
The restaurant was incredible! I took my girlfriend for her birthday here for her first time and she was blown away by the ambiance, food, and service. The view is one of the best in Tampa. The fish was as fresh as it gets and the staff was very knowledgable of the menu and wine list. They even complemented our first glass of wine!
I highly recommend this place for any occasion. We will definitely be back soon.
I have two complaints about the food. The calamari was tasty but there was a burnt black french fry at the bottom of the basket. Very sloppy and made us question what else is going unnoticed. Also, the fish and chips grouper was too soggy with grease and the batter a bit heavy. Would not order that again. We, actually, had a group of 4 people and overall everyone was happy with their food aside from what is mentioned here. Also, most of us agreed that we don't care for shoestring fries.
The waiter was fabulous. She was able to get us the last two snapper for my quest and wife. Excellent service and attention to every thing. We asked for a expresso martini (expresso with vanilla vodka and Kahlua on the side for after dinner. No problem. Well done. Restaurant great for business, family or evening with your spouse. Highly recommend to all.
Good people and please
Hostess was short and acted as though us being there was an inconvenience. We were 15 minutes early for our reservation and asked if our party of 4 could sit outside on the patio (where there were clearly 2-3 tables open). The hostess didn’t even make eye contact and said shortly “we can seat you right now if you sit inside”. My in-laws and 6-year old son really wanted to watch the sunset, so we asked to please sit outside. The hostess said it would be 16-20 minutes so we went to the bar.
At the bar, it was over $70 for four drinks and a soda—ridiculous prices considering two of those drinks were gin and tonics. We waited at the bar for over 40 minutes, and watched two parties of 3 get seated in the two open tables on the patio. I caught the hostess as she walked by and asked how much longer it was going to be. She had clearly forgotten about us (did I mention we had a reservation and we were 15 minutes early for it?). She said she would go get our menus and that we would have to sit on the lower deck (with no view of the water) since the upper was full. Yeah, because you forgot about us and sat two other parties in front of us. It then took her another 10 minutes to get our menus and seat us at our table.
My son was starving so we agreed to sit on the lower deck. The server who brought our water and bread was rude and just shoved them down on the table without a word. Our actual server didn’t greet us for almost 10 additional minutes, which was the norm throughout the meal. He was nice, but was extremely slow in checking on us in between courses, pre-bussing our table, getting our check, refilling drinks, etc.
After all of this, and for how much we paid for dinner (over 300), you would think the food was incredible. It wasn’t. I was extremely disappointed in the entire experience and I will never be back.
Beautiful experience with delicious food.
After several attempts to get a Sunday brunch reservation we finally got one. However, it did not live up to expectations in anyway. The seafood selection was limited to cocktail shrimp, oysters, one fish fish, and a sushi bar. All of which was underwhelming considering it is $55 per person. The cooked foods had some stand out items such as the short rib and french toast. If your table is seated next to a large party be prepare to be neglected. We sat for 10 mins before being first acknowledged, then received inconsistent attention thereafter. A majority of the time someone from the table had to flag staff down and even then that did not guarantee a follow up. Overall, I was very disappointed with the Sunday Brunch and I don't think would do it again or recommend it to my friends. It's a shame because I really enjoy the lunch menu and had high hopes.
Overall a great experience. Our server, Charles, was excellent and made sure our dining experience and evening was one to remember.
Usually we prefer to dine outside, but there were a lot of gnats/bugs that bit us up while waiting so we changed our table preference to be indoors. We did notify the ladies in the front.
