Tucked into one of Portland’s beautifully restored industrial buildings, Olympia Provisions Southeast has grown from establishing the city’s first salumeria to being a destination for refined, European-style dishes. Our menu here is guided by the capable hands of Chef Matthew Jarrell, and reflects an innovative approach to the traditions of rustic Spanish and Mediterranean cooking. In combining these methods with the clean, bold flavors of the Pacific Northwest, Jarrell's dishes highlight the locally-sourced meats and seasonal vegetables you’ll find on his menus.     I booked this for meal for a business dinner with colleagues visiting from Japan. The service was lacking to say the least. I understand that food takes time to be prepared but we ordered all together and it took an hour to get a pasta dish, almost 45 minutes to be brought the foods that did not need to be cooked (Olives, Bread, Almonds, Salads). Our party ordered mostly small plates and one or two entrees. We understood that the food would come out as ready but the restaurant was not busy and it seemed like they were extremely understaffed or just did not care. I understand things happen but if the food had been hot when we received it I would not complain but the entrees were lukewarm and by the time we got them most people were ready to leave and were no longer hungry. I have had great experiences here in the past so I am hoping this was just an off night.

    Fantastic food and service. The wait staff was very accommodating and the food was amazing for the price. My only complain was my food came out a little too long after everyone else’s due to defrosting. Besides that, it was an absolute lovely time to celebrate my college graduation.

    Food to share was perfectly portioned, deliciously prepared, and came out timely for a wonderful experience. We were there for 3 hours and it felt like nothing. A lot due to company, but the ambiance, service, and food made it all possible.
