   Good food and service, but then the bill came. “An automatic gratuity is added for parties of 1 or more”. + an employee wellness fee. 23% mandatory “tip”. It feels like a switch and bait. I’m not going back unless they abolish that policy.

However, we're sorry to hear that you felt disappointed with the service charge and employee wellness. We include notes on the menu, check and a card we drop with all bills that includes a little more information regarding these charges. We explain why we have this policy, where the charges go, as well as making sure that it is clear if you don't feel comfortable, we are happy to remove them upon request. We will take your comments into serious consideration as we strive to improve our services and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

   We had brunch on Easter Sunday, and enjoyed their special dish with lamb and lovely spring vegetables. Also had a French charcuterie board, which was tasty but not particularly inspired. Tried their new special cherry cocktail, which was surprising and not too sweet - a winner in my book. Our only negative was the bread that came with the charcuterie board, which was just OK. Lots of good choices on the menu, so will probably return for brunch again.

   Everything was just perfect. Food was delicious (pan seared chicken) and wine selection excellent (Crement). We took advantage of $1 oyster special as well, which was an unexpected surprise. If I lived in Portland I would eat here every day.
