Situated on bustling Northcote Road in London’s chi chi Clapham, Numero Uno is an Italian restaurant which delights locals and visitors alike. Food is reliably good, service fast and efficient. However it is overpriced. Bread is presented and charged for whether you eat it or not. Beware the table for two by the toilet door.

Food above average. Quite cramped. Very busy. The staff were under pressure and as a result not attentive and slightly abrupt. At £35 per head not cheap. Would try again, but perhaps in the week.

Traditional 'non chain' italian restaurant - food like mama used to make! Authentic, recipes with a twist, superbly delivered. A cosy, buzzing eatery, limited outside space. Extensive wine list. Friendly, charismatic, attentive team who know heir stuff. Not a cheap night out but well worth the expense

We had a lovely italian dinner at Numero Uno to celebrate a special event. The waiters were very attentive and were able to provide me with suggestions on gluten free items. I would suggest adding more gluten free - but great authentic italian! Will be back.

We booked a table at short notice on a Friday evening. We were given an 8.45 slot . When we arrived, the restaurant was full & buzzing. We were given menus promptly & the drinks order was taken. We all chose different dishes. One starter took 20 minutes to cook. We were told of this in advance & it was well worth the wait. The risotto & the pasta were delicious. We were seated alongside a group of Italians. (Always a good sign in an Italian restaurant) The staff were very pleasant. This was our first visit & we will definitely return.

We booked a table for 7 on a Saturday evening for a leaving do and had the most amazing time. The staff are fun, friendly and courteous. They wine list is comprehensive and well priced and the range of dishes is impressive. We would all come back.
