North Italia – BLVD
Every the lighting
We first dined at North Italia in Los Angeles when we were visiting last week and it was there that they told us they had a branch in Houston so we decided to compare the two. The experience was quite similar at each of them. Everything was excellent except the noise level which was terrible and exhausting--it really takes away from what might otherwise have been a perfect evening.
This place is just too good!!!! Is one of my favorites restaurants in Houston!!! The food is absolutely delicious!!!! I tried so many things and everything is tasty! My favorites are bolognese pasta and the meat ball sandwich! But the salads and pizzas are very very good! Oh get the bread on the appetizer list!!! And tiramisu for dessert!!! Worth every calorie!!!!!!! Love it!
Consistently amazing food and service!
Fantastic ambience. The wine, aps and pasta dishes, as well as dessert were very delicious.
The entire experience was great. Our server was amazing and the food was fantastic. It was extremely lively for a weekday and I can see why. The ambiance was fun and we had a great time.
Popular spot with great vibe in the heart of the Galleria area action. Mixed crowd, mostly young professionals. Smart business casual attire. Delightful outdoor seating and bar. OK food fairly priced. Not cheap, not crazy expensive. Excellent service. Reservations recommended.
Look. The place is modern, the good is fresh everyday and the service is excellent. What more can you ask for!?
Great food and service.
The service is always very great at North. I go particularly for the Bolognese and often at lunch for a business conversation. Oils not be great for a serious business conversation but for relationship building it is a perfect spot. The service is fast at lunch.
Excellent food. I loved it!! We had the Strozzapreti, a caesar salad and the white truffle garlic bread!!
Every dish was amazing and we ordered quite a few to sample. It’s well priced with good portions. We’ll definitely come back again.
Sundays wine is half off!!
Our server gave really good recommendations. For both the appetizers and the mains, I went with his suggestions and it was outstanding! Wish i could remember his name!
Our waiter was exceptional in both recommending dishes and especially wine pairings. It’s busy on the weekends but worth the wait. We went there two hours before a movie upstairs, we were seated immediately bc of a reservation and enjoyed the full two hours.
Amazing food & service. Inside is loud but outside is perfect.
Perfect in every way...and we’re picky!
Food and atmosphere were amazing! Great for date night.
The food was overall decent, but if we go back we will order differently. We didn’t care for their take on bruschetta and we thought the pizza wasn’t very good. The pasta was amazing though!
Food is always good. It’s just loud!
The food was simply amazing! Fresh, wholesome ingredients, nice atmosphere and priced well!
Party of four people and we all enjoyed our meals. We had a mushroom pizza as an appetizer and it was great. I order the spicy shrimp pasta which was fabulous. North is a hip restaurant and highly recommend it.
Nivel place for drinks and food. Ambience really good. A bit expensive
It was my birthday and my son took me out for dinner.
We wanted to grab dinner before a musical at The Hobby Center. My daughter had had a business lunch there on Tuesday and loved it, said the menu was “ all me”, so we went for dinner Sunday and she was right! The food was delicious, the service attentive, the wine list impressive and the overall experience worth repeating!
The server was amazing and made great suggestions from the menu.
Love this place so much so took my best friend and our daughters. Food not as good. Pizza crust soft as if it had been kept warm after baking. Appetizers and main cane out very fast so not sure why the pizza wasn’t fresh. Strozapretti which is normally fab tasted different - can’t put my finger on it but totally different than normal.
I have nothing but great things to say about North Italia - our server was phenomenal, my roasted salmon was delicious, and drinks were perfect. The reason I can't give this place a perfect score, especially related to food, is because of my husband's meal. He ordered the bacon and egg pizza on gluten free crust, and it was extremely difficult to eat because the crust was as hard as a rock. He knows and expects that gluten free products rarely, if ever, stand up to gluten-filled products, but no need to get a jaw workout in when eating a pizza.
The food was wonderful. Our server was very friendly and did a great job. My only complaint is the noise level, but that's just because I'm old.
Great happy hour and fantastic service!
The only thing that wasn’t great was the service. Our server was nice but he was extremely shy. He needs some coaching in feeling more comfortable speaking to patrons.
Food is always delicious and service is excellent. The noise level is very loud, but that's just people enjoying their company. I do wish the tables were slightly farther from each other. You can definitely hear other people's conversation without going out of your way to be nosy. I do enjoy this restaurant. I usually recommend to people that it's a great restaurant in the galleria that isn't a pain to reach
Service was poor and food bland. Suggest you stay away from bar during peak lunch. Waiters young, seem to treat restaurant like a school canteen.
The Service: Prompt, table was ready when we arrived for the time that we reserved. Waiter was attentive to our needs without being present too often (wine was always full, table always had something going on or off of it when ready).
The Layout: Very clever and the decoration was clean and modern.
The Menu: Options were simply and accurately described (the ingredients spoke for themselves).
The Food: We had the artichoke appetizer (must have) as well as the fennel salad to start which was a nice light complement to the artichoke. Mains were the Spaghetti and Meatballs and, pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection, meatballs were just firm enough without being spongy or crispy/dry. Showstopper was the Mushroom Tortelloni; rich and complex flavor, perfect al dente snap to every bite, sweet potato does little more than tame the flavors and doesn't intrude the palate so don't be scared off by it.
The Dessert: We were too full to try any, they looked amazing, they did too good of a job at filling us up with everything else.
Love, love, love this place! Server was a total doll, hostesses were super charming and food/sangria was amazing! This joint is consistently good and can't wait to bring my daughter and her pup, and enjoy the patio for a beautiful Sunday brunch!
Always consistently excellent food. I eat here every visit to Houston. Delicious homemade pasta at a reasonable price. Waitstaff is well trained and helpful. Great place for happy hour too!
Awesome! Great food and ambiance!!
My wife and I love this place. You can see them making the fresh pasta all day long. It is my go-to place for Brunch on Sunday. I love the short rib hash, calamari, mussels and all of the soups. The staff is really great too.
This place was really fun!! Definitely not quiet, but definitely happening. The food was great and our waiter, Rafael, was amazing! We loved it!
