   A decent mid ranging curry house, nothing stand out to recommend it above the pack, but on the other hand I can't really fault our meals or the service we received on the night. A safe bet if you fancy a curry in the west end

   I got there, they said that "only phone reservations are valid" and that website reservations must wait until all walkins have been seated. So we left.

   The welcome was abrupt and rushed - the napkin was taken off the table and carelessly placed before I'd finished removing my jacket and sat down. We were enjoying our pre-meal poppadums and sauces when our main order was taken and whilst we were still only halfway through these the main meal arrived. I expressed our surprise and said we hadn't yet finished, whereupon the remaining poppadums were tipped off the main serving plate on top of the food I'd been eating on my side plate and the sauces removed so there was room on the table for the main dishes! The servings were a good size and my butter chicken was tasty. However my husband had order chicken tikka korai and this was disappointing - not much chicken (I had a better helping and so shared mine) and it wasn't all breast of chicken. During the meal no-one asked us if everything was ok. As we left, even though it was not a busy time, no attempt was made to help put on my jacket and no-one came to open the door and say goodbye to us (as is our usual experience in Indian restaurants). All round a disappointing experience.

   We went for lunch on a Sunday. We booked for 1pm and turned up within 5 minutes of the booking. I had noted that the restaurant didn't close until 2.30pm, so we should have had plenty of time. The whole thing was VERY rushed in terms of food. We were told we needed to make our order immediately as they had limited kitchen timings on a Sunday. We have been in the evening on a Sunday before and it was excellent, but we were really disappointed. The main turned up as soon as the starter had been cleared (and the starter turned up 5 minutes after ordering. There is a large menu. We ordered 2 totally different curries. Without seeming to be unfair )and having eaten very many curries in our time) we just can't see how they could have been made fresh in 10 minutes flat. It tasted fine, but not amazing. The main thing was that they were hovering over our table from 15 minutes after our main was served. I actually couldn't eat much as I felt so rushed. The staff were putting their coats on at 1.30 and leaving. It was just a real let down as we enjoyed it so much last time. I wouldn't go on a Sunday lunch again (unless you want to turn up at 12.

    Possibly the worst restaurant i have been to in london. Not clean, bad quality food, the service felt like they were doing us a favour eating in what they call a restaurant, its more like a hovel.
