Noi Ratings and Reviews
This restaurant is a good combination of nice furnishing/ambiance, moderate prices, and good food. Recently food quality has declined...some chicken dishes such as garlic chicken which have been extraordinary have suffered from rubbery, overcooked chicken. This occasion was a bit disappointing as service was spotty/slow and noise level was a bit up. Hopefully Noi will recapture its quality and service levels. Holidays are tough to staff.
Our all time favorite entre the Crispy Garluc Chicken is usually succulent and juicy and spicy delicious! However, on Friday, December 1, we were surprised and let down by the dry and hard-chewiness of this entire. We will be back to see if this is going to be an ongoing problem or just an anomaly. Hopefully the latter. Not very pleased. Sorry.
Quiet elegance. Selection of foods not found in most restaurants. Crispy Garlic Chicken with coconut rice can be made in four or five heat ranges, according to your tastes. Mango stickie rice is a unique seasonal dessert. Wonderful meal and service to match.
Lovely environment and nicely decorated. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The shrimp satay was nicely presented with delicious peanut sauce and grilled just right. For main course we had the Crying Tiger Flank Steak which was very tasty and nicely prepared. Our other main course was Swimming Chicken Rama?? (Not quite sure of the name). It was a delicious combination of thinly sliced chicken with a huge amount of fresh spinach and a delicious peanut sauce. All in all a very enjoyable meal.
After a previous marginal food experience we decided to give Noi another chance and we were pleasantly surprised. Our server Wendy was awesome and the main entrées were very good. Or appetizers not so much. The chicken satay was dry although the peanut sauce was excellent. Our spring roll really had no flavor but again the peanut dipping sauce was good. We would go again but based on this experience we would avoid the appetizers.
Several people we know recommended Noi as the standard bearer for Thai cooking in Bend. It was acceptable, but not exceptional in our lengthy experience with the cuisine. Noi is a good place to go when other spots are overcrowded since it is large. Our server was vague about the the arrangements to share or order individually. The answer should always be "however you want t is fine. We'll make it work.." The server completely missed my drink order after a several minute discussion about its merits beforehand. In all it was a good meal, but little would drw us back there.
Wait staff are poorly trained and some have a rather arrogant attitude. The food is good and generally it comes out of the kitchen fairly quickly making this a good place for lunch. Not the best nor the worst place in Bend. It is convenient to my office so I eat there more than I otherwise would.
Restaurant was busy and understaffed. Waited a long time to order. Our wine didn't come until our 1st course was almost gone. Wait staff did not return to take our payment. Uncomfortable chairs that were not really dining chairs were soiled. This was second time in a row that service was poor. Will be a while before we return.
world class Thai food. I stayed away from Thai-influenced American dishes and was stunned with my choice of a more traditional entrée. Presentation smacks you in the face, but flavors stay with you all nite long. I loved eating slow. The suggested desert of deep fried wrapped bananas was amazing to nibble on at the end of our best Thai evening ever.
As usual, the food was excellent. On the downside, it seemed as if they wanted us out of restaurant as quickly as possible. We'd only had a few sips of our drinks when our (shared) appetizer arrived; then, before we had finished our appetizer, our two main dishes were served. We were out for a leisurely Friday evening dinner and it was anything but leisurely.
I love Thai food and this restaurant did not disappoint. A friend and I were visiting Bend and made reservations on a very busy night. We found the staff to be courteous and accommodating. The food was delicious and our server was great - there when you needed him and gone when you didn't. Perfect! The Angry Ocean (a seafood stir fry) was superb and I loved the shrimp cakes. The happy hour is great too with some discounted drinks as well as appetizers. If I lived closer, I would frequent this place. Yummy!
We very much enjoyed our dinner at Noi, and recommend it highly! The wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu items, and service was excellent. Their selections were extensive and very well prepared. The restaurant itself is beautifully put together. We especially loved the curtained areas. Definitely worth a visit!
We love the happy hour here and decided to try it for dinner with friends. We were in a booth with six people, the service was slow, the food was adequate, the tip was included in the tab.
Will go back for happy hour and the bar. Will take a while for s to bring back a larger group.
