Food was great as usual, however the service started well and tapered off dramatically. At one point, our waitress was missing for over 20 minutes and no one was helping our table. We asked someone to find our waitress and she arrived 10 minutes later, did not bring the drinks we had ordered before she disappeared and seemed unfazed that we were not delivered what we ordered.
As always, Nobu was fantastic in every way... but a bit overpriced.
Thee worst service I was ever given at a Nobu location.
The Jalapeno Hamachi, Big eye truffle tuna, and the Rib-eye crispy onion were outstanding. Unfortunately, they were out of the Wagu dumplings. The dessert of the Bento Box and Bread pudding was not great. My wife loved the Mother's Day special cocktail which had guava.
Yoni our waiter was great! Very friendly, accommodating and was a pleasure to have at our first Nobu experience. Hope to have him again!
I celebrated my birthday here two days ago and all I can say is “YES!!!!!!” Our server Justin was dynamic and knew the menu backwards and forwards. If we were unsure about anything, he gave us details of each dish along with recommendations as if he invited the menu himself! He was awesome! And the food was delicious! Drinks, perfectly crafted. I will be back!
Josh was a FANTASTIC server. He made a menu just for us, based on our preferences. It was well-timed, and everything was amazing. We absolutely loved the experience.
Attentive and knowledgeable staff. I felt they took pride in their service.
The service was great, the server recommended items for us and everything was amazing!
A great overall experience. Service was very good, staff were kind and checking on us. Food was absolutely amazing! Went with a larger group, which was cool because we got to try a lot of different dishes in our budget.
Our server, Becky, was outstanding. The food was delicious and beautifully plated. They took special care of me with diet restrictions and it was a spectacular evening!
Went for birthday dinner celebration. Food was extremely overpriced for minimal portions. Food presentation was exquisite, not so much the taste which was very good...but expected much more! Service at times was excellent; other times, non-existent. We had to wait 25 minutes for water—probably because we switched from bottled water to tap! Overall, bill came to $400 for 4 people (no alcoholic drinks), and no one was full. Notably, my son had to get a double-double and animal fries to complete his dinner!!
The food was very tasty. Ambience of the restaurant also great, no loud noises and was a cute place. The waiters there were also friendly and checked on us frequently. Would recommend and would definitely come back again!
JOSH really took care of us. When he learned that it was our first time he suggested that he could order for us to showcase the menu.
We are so glad that we took advantage of his offer.
There is no way that would have understood the culinary adventure of a lifetime that we had with his help.
NOBU's CHEF is lucky to have JOSH out front. Thanks you NOBU!
I like this restaurant
I’m visiting L.A. and we decided to go out and have AMAZING sushi, so we decided to go to Nobu. I’ve been to Nobu in Las Vegas an Mexico City, and my experiences in those locations have been outstanding, which was not the case for their L.A. Hollywood location.
Service was great, overall, and our server did and excellent job making us feel comfortable and explained the menu to perfection; but when it came to the food, the sushi and nigiris we’re not up to par with the prestige of what Nobu tipically delivers...
We paid $390 (with tip) for a meal that should have costed less than a hundred for the flavours that we recieved, it was very dull to describe it politelly... I certantly hope you guys at Nobu take a deep look into this location, ‘cause based on this experience, I would never come back.
Server was excellent and the food items he recommended
Reserved indoor table, were seated outdoors in what appeared to be the parking lot. Service was very poor. Appeared to be short staffed. Bottle of wine ordered before dinner never arrived despite reminding the server. Paying top $ for this experience was a major disappointment.
Our server Tai (sp?) was the best, kind and professional, and made excellent suggestions for us. The food was very good in general, the only dish that was lacking was the uni pasta, but the raw fish dishes were excellent.
The outdoor ambiance is in a parking lot, so it is lacking, and compared to the lush indoor design, yet it is so great to be in a restaurant , that this is not a complaint! This restaurant is expensive, we had one cocktail and sake each and dinner for 5 people and the bill was over $700 before a tip. But this was a special night, celebrating one of our 10th anniversary of being cancer free, so we were happy to have a special meal.
All in all, I look forward to revisiting the restaurant and sitting inside in the main room, which is lovely .
Always love Nobu, have to stores in London, NYC, Hong Kong, MX, LA.
Nobu was very amazing, the only downside was the staff. The staff was rude and seemed pretentious and was in a rush to get us out. They told us we had to be out by 7:30 because there are guests after us, and we did not receive our food until 7:20.
Absolutely loved it, they exceeded my expectations!
The service and food were amazing. It lived up to the hype! Will be visiting again! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience
Let’s start with Josh ,the waiter, he was very attentive and personable. We allowed him to order all of our food, every dish that was served was beyond delicious. The ambiance was energetic and hip. We had a great experience. The food is very expensive but well worth it.
We came here for my birthday and waited 35 minutes to even put in a drink order. Our server then proceeded to rush us our entire meal to order more before last call. It took a long time for dirty dishes to be cleared off the table and even longer to get a second drink ordered. Then when they brought out a birthday dessert, our server didn’t even know who’s birthday it was and stood there awkwardly asking who’s birthday it was while the candle was burning. The table we were at was uncomfortably set up on a downward slope so the table was almost up to my chest. These are just a few examples. We were not impressed, especially for how much we were paying. We love the Malibu location and won’t be coming back to the LA one.
Service was mediocre. Very slow.
Such an amazing experience! It was our first time splurging as locals of LA. We had a great time!
This was one of the best meals ever!! We let the waiter curate a menu and he nailed it!!
One of my favorite places to patronize. Great food as usual and our waiter was especially helpful. You have to try the bread pudding! AMAZING!
Still waiting for the manager to call us back. We were overcharged for many items on the bill. Make sure you look at what you are being charged for.
Excellent food. Great service and good ambiance. They paid attention to safety protocols in the restaurant.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for it's wonderful cuisine.
We had a great first visit to NOBU and will visit again. Glad indoor dining available in California.
It was awesome and they treated us great!
Way overrated. Server was great. But it was way overpriced and over rated. $300, no liquor and very small portions.
The food was absolutely amazing & the staff was delightful! But with all the COVID-19 restriction and patio seating, the ambience was lackluster. Looked like typical tent pitched in a backyard with the visible tape marks.
Food was amazing!!!! Our server was great too. I f
When you go ask for Kay. He was the best and provided my tables with the best experience.
Food was amazing. We were given a specific time to leave 1hr 30mins before we sat down. However just about everyone seated before we arrived was still there (mostly just talking) when we collected our bill. The food was amazing but chairs outside of tent(no cushions), were extremely uncomfortable.
Enjoyed all the recommendations from our server, Justin.
