Disappointed at most other restaurants, but NEVER disappointed at Nobu in WEHO.
Koji-san and his team are outstanding! A wonderful place to spend the evening. The best looking women in LA go there.
not the standard of Nobu I have come to expect from other Nobu restaurants in the world
Sushi on another level. We enjoyed every dish we had. Great cocktails too. Pricey but worth it. Impeccable service.
Amazing experience from Valet to Servers to the manager. It is simply the best... 😇! Thank You!
Worst customer service
People came the second after you finish eating to take your plate
It’s not a marathon but a moment to share
it’s like nobu don’t want people to stay but just want to sell the max of food
Was so looking forward to this evening and got highly disappointed by the quality of service and partly because of the food
First we had a reservation and the table was not ready when we arrived because previous guest still haven’t had their dessert
The hostess didn’t offer us to go to the bar until we asked about it she was to busy showing off
Then after 25 minutes our table was ready and we didn’t even have yet our order from the bar
We arrived at our table and our service was not good and not caring
It took him more than 10 minutes to ask us what we wanted and then told us that it was to long to take the ô malade menu (signature LA) si he didn’t let us order that
While insisting he finally agree to give us a non definite omakase that cost us at the end more than the menu we requested
We had to wait a long time between some dish and for others they were served two at the time even though some were supposed to be eaten hot
2 dishes are a big disappointment one was a sashimi not worth the price and tasteless and the second one was the meat (beef with onion tempura )
I’ve been to Nobu NY and keep a great memory I can’t say the same about LA it’s a trap and didn’t have me any envy to go to the one in Malibu
Great tasting food. Spicy scallop sushi was especially great.
As far as NOBU goes, this was typically phenomenal service and cuisine. Did not like location.
This restaurant was very nice. Probably the nicest restaurant I've ever been...and the most expensive! I'm not used to spending so much on so little food. It was delicious though. The atmosphere was spectacular.
Good food but there are hundreds of better Asian fusion or sushi options around LA. Decent service. Poor value.
Food is good but pricey!
The lobster truffle butter was really good... so were the caipirinhas! The scallops were also delicious! the only down side was that the waiter kept insisting on items my boyfriend wasn’t really into. We went with our gut and ordered what we thought we’d like and we had a great dinner!
The yellow fin was amazing!!!! Actually all the sushi was good! Not impressed with the lobster and pork belly ok. I would return again and just do chilled not cooked. The greet staff are a little cold but the wait staff are amazing!!
Excellent service. Waiter ordered items only available at this location in LA. Amazing.
Great dinner. Service very attentive. Cod was amazing.
AMAZING dining experience! The waiter was able to take our max budget ($1000 for a group of 7) and curate a menu based on our preferences. Every single dish was exceptional. Worth it, worth it, worth it.
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the food even though our cousin told us beforehand that it was great! We especially enjoyed the braised scallops and bananas dessert.
The server was amazing and really helped out with explaining the menu and recommended great dishes. This was everything i expected
Highest level of delicious cocktails and food. Too expensive for what you get. Worth it: Miso Black cod, Scallop Sashimi. Not worth it: Rock shrimp tempura, Wagyu Beef taco.
Been to many Nobu locations. This one was very crowded. Tables very close together. Decor was fair. Not as unique as other locations. Food and service were excellent.
I was super excited to try out Nobu after hearing about it so much and it being my birthday. I was underwhelmed by the entire experience. After being seated it took a while before our waiter came and we noticed when other people came in to the dining area the staff did a greeting. We asked the waiter what the greeting was and he said they do it to welcome people to the dining area and we mentioned we did not receive the greeting when we walked in. Next, our waiter Dave stated that any thing I could think of was served at the restaurant when I asked for a side of fried rice he stated there is no fried rice, then I asked what sides are available and he stated the restaurant does not specialize in sides, umm ok.
I moved on and then saw this same Dave bring out white rice to an adjacent table, this left me puzzled. My friend ordered a ginger beer and there was a piece of something red in her cup she asked Dave to replace it and he looked in the cup as if she was making it up, he takes the glass and then sometime later another waiter arrives at our table. We mention we asked for a replacement ginger beer some time ago and he apologizes and goes to retrieve it. At first we thought Dave just left, but we see him multiple times throughout the night so it seemed like our waiter was switched out mid meal with no explanation and we found that strange. Next I inquired about Virginia Black Whiskey based cocktails as online I saw that all Nobu locations carried it. The new waiter had no idea what I was talking about even though I described two of the signature cocktails that I had researched prior to making my reservation. The food finally came and was not as good as I expected. I only enjoyed the scallops. I wouldn't return.
Wonderful! Try the yellowfin jalapeño - awesome!
Went for no particular reason other than the reputation. Our waiter, Josh, asked if we’d trust him with menu select; we did and he didn’t disappointed. The yellowtail with jalapeño, albacore with truffle oil, beef and bass tacos, baked crab hand roll, seared salmon, and baked cod were all so good. The only ding I’d give is on portion sizes; small for the price. The service was perfect and was our meal.
Everything was outstanding. The cod is the most amazing seafood dish that all of us have ever had. The service is constant, but unobtrusive. The server patiently explained the menu items that needed explanation, and it was an overall great experience. We had been to Nobu in New York, and this was its equal. Loved the experience.
Best sushi ever
I prefer the Nobu in Malibu...
fabulous and delicious as always!!! never disappoints
We had the most fabulous first time to Nobu Hollywood! We were celebrating my fiancé’s birthday and everyone made us feel so special. The food was 11/10, service was perfect and the venue was super fun. Worth every $$
The service was excellent. The food was very good. Some dishes were Wow! I was slightly disappointed in the Toro from such a high end restaurant. It was good, but not the best I have had, which is what I was hoping for. Also, great atmosphere and many options for vegetarians Overall... Excellent!
Terrible service. Small portions. Over priced.
Thank you for such a lovely evening celebrating our daughter's birthday. Food and service was terrific.
Dishes were good. Sushi wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Malibu Nobu is way better.
Have been to so many of the Nobu's around the world and this one has some special menu items that make it one of the very best. Don't miss the amazing food and service here.
Simply great food
Incrediblely delicious! We ordered double spicy tuna crispy rice with dipping sauce it was so tasty. Extremely attentive service. Every dish a delight. Beautiful atmosphere.
Magnificent meal, best I've ever eaten in fact, and impeccable service. I didn't like the table we were at. My seat was facing the room, but my husband was unimpressed with his view of a blank wall (for the cost of the meal). Very close to our neighbours either side, so could hear their conversations as clearly as our own. I would suggest two person booth seating along that wall so that all diners have a view of the room and a level of privacy to their conversation.
As I have said, the best meal I have ever had (and I've had a few), but to be honest, the bill left a bad taste in my mouth. I was expecting it to be expensive - but $300 a head (including tip, but no wine!!) left me shocked, and sorry I had tried the experience. I could only recommend this restaurant to people to whom money is no object. As a super special occasion maybe, but be prepared for bill shock.
Hosting out of country friends
Be prepared to have trouble finding parking. We also had trouble finding the entrance as it’s not on the main road. Food was good. We had sushi, which wasn’t anything spectacular. A table near us was very loud and talking politics. It was also strange the hostess calls out something loud when new parties walk in, probably to get the waiters attention.
